New car whats missing from the boot?
That’s how I do it, but I always feel like I’m putting it on wrong, that it’s pulling on the mechanism.

New car whats missing from the boot?
While I’m at it: do you have a video or some instructions on how to tidy the boot cover away properly in these racks? I always struggle with it...

4 Year Old PHEV with Only 2 Services - What Should I Look For?
As long as the bills are there and everything is properly tracked (including manufacturer recalls), I wouldn’t have a problem with that.

4 Year Old PHEV with Only 2 Services - What Should I Look For?
Hello. It also depends on the car’s mileage. If it’s high, that could be a problem; if it’s low, it might be fine…

Map Update
It is a bit unsettling that the update runs and completes without a single message appearing on the infotainment screen.

Skoda Octavia 4 Software update from 1668 up
Apparently, they are the only ones with the equipment or the right software to carry out updates below these versions. If needed, it’s might be free for the 1805 (97EQ recall campaign) and 1810 (91CP) updates. You might as well make the most of it. Also check Dieteren to see if there are any other recall campaigns pending for your vehicle.

Tested and working coding Octavia mk4
Hello, I’m wondering whether it’s worth buying an OBD 11. I’d like to be able to check the oil and DSG temperatures, and perhaps the fuel level when I need to top it up. It might also be useful to know if the battery needs changing in the next 2–3 years. €120 for the basic package is a bit pricey. I’m wondering if my Skoda dealer might put up any obstacles if they find out.

205 55 17 tyres
I’ve had the Crossclimate 2 tyres since I bought my car (nearly 53,000 km in a year and a half). I live in a low-mountain area, but I often find myself driving in the mid-mountain range. I’ve driven on snow-covered roads several times, and they’ve held up well, except on one or two occasions on a road that hadn’t been cleared properly (though it had snowed heavily the night before). The car skidded a bit, but it was easy to get it back on track. And in terms of fuel economy, it performs well; I average just over 4.8 litres, with a lot of motorway driving (a record of 3.5 litres per 100 km on a 60 km journey).

It depends? Do you get snow where you live in winter? A little or a lot? If you need it, this channel might help: https://www.youtube.com/tyrereviews

Update my 2021 Octavia mk4
Not sure about the GPS problem. If not working you'll have to reset it by your local dealer. Be sure to perform a factory reset after the install.

Unable to start - christmas light dashboard
It could! In any case, on mine it looked like a Christmas tree. And when I started it up, it made lots of clicking noises.

Unable to start - christmas light dashboard
I had to recharge or jump-start my battery several times over a period of four months before the mechanics officially declared it dead. Each time they connected their diagnostic tool, the battery appeared to be within normal limits. However, I had just come from a Focus 4, which was a heavy battery consumer (apparently due to a telemetry module that was too talkative and drained it, a fault never acknowledged by Ford). So I knew what a low battery was and its symptoms.
