Octavia vrs spare wheel
A full size 225-40-19 will fit but it is a bit of a squeeze to put it in or get it out. I did not like the weedy little space saver so I chose an 18 inch wheel with 225-40-18 tyre for ease of fitting. The 225-40-18 is 637 mm diameter the 225-40-19 is 663 mm diameter, but the difference is insignificant. The next issue is the Jack and wheel nut kit and how to mount it. I bought a second hand package for an Octavia 2 and the works well. Hope this helps.

New winter wheels - rim/tyre equivalents
Why not just stay with the original size of tyres and wheels and keep everything standard at 205-55-17 you have plenty of tyre wall. I had an insurance query last year because my smaller wheels for winter tyres were considered a modification?

Recommended tyre pressures - are they too high?
I have always thought 39 psi was too high, ran with 36 psi all round as per my Golf GTI for a while. but went back to 39 front and all is the good. For my European friends that 2.7 bar front and 2.4 bar rear. The Octavia VRS will never be a sports Car and will always understeer, but Michelin PS4s all-round and 39 psi front and 36 psi rear seems the best you can get. A gentlemen's utilitarian brisk transport is what it does well.

Wheel size.
17 inch is a bit tight for a petrol VRS which has bigger front brakes, it will fit but might clash with the balance weights 18 inch would be better with 225-45-18 tyres.

Switching off Electrical Defaults
The Lane assist is two thumb presses on the Steering wheel. The stop start press the Set button and then the stop start icon, it take 2 seconds in total and can be done without looking once you get used to it. If you have Modes then setting this up for you choices then press Mode then the individual icon, and takes 1 second. Good luck.

speed limit signs on sat nav
You have to turn it on in the infotainment. Just go in and look for the tick box.

My22 octavia vrs 19 xtreme rims
17 is very tight on the front and might knock off the balance weights. 18 is better

dynamic chassis control
The con Is that if you don't spec it you are crazy it is that good.

More vRS tyre musings!
The PS 4 is the forerunner of the PS 5 not the PS 4S which will be replaced by the PS s 5. The PS 4S is a much better performance tyre with excellent grip in all conditions but not the most dynamic feeling. Have a look at Tyre Reviews on Youtube

TPMS Direct or Indirect
I finally got some sense from the main dealer and the answer is no Skoda do not fit sensors in the wheels but only use the the ABS to sense tyre diameter. Good news.

vRS Engine Cover Recall
I have this morning spoken with a the local Skoda Dealer and they say they have no news of replacement Engine cover and they do not expect a new one to arrive any time soon.

Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
Yep that is about right,

TPMS Direct or Indirect
I have a 2022 VRS Octavia fitted with 19 inch Wheels and 225-40-19 Summer Tyres and I am proposing to fit it with 18 inch Wheels and 225-45-19 Winter Tyres. The question I have is do these vehicles have direct battery powered sensors within the wheels or do they rely on the ABS indirect system. A tyre Dealer has told me they are ABS driven. The main Skoda Dealer seems confused and reluctant to answer. The Tyre Valves look to be standard. I cannot read any codes from the Valves with my Autel MaxiPad programmer which works well on my Ford. Does anyone know the real situation. Any help would be appreciated before I commit to new Wheels and Tyres for Winter driving. Thanks

Octavia VRS 2.0 245 Steaming Engine
It could be the headlight washer over spray you are seeing. This occurs the first time you use the windscreen washers and then every 10th (I think) after.

Engine Cover Octavia VRS
My car has been delivered after a year and two days and is excellent so far. The Car is not fitted with an Engine cover and the story is that there is a problem with the design and a new will be issued and due course whatever that means. Does anyone have the same experience or know any more about this situation. Thanks

Delivery times?
My Octavia VRS Estate petrol ordered July 2021. I am told today that it is complete and I should see it in the UK in about 4 weeks. So good news there is hope

Delivery times?
Same for me.

Delivery times?
Thanks. Not good but at least I don't think that the might of Skoda is only picking on me.

Delivery times?
My car Octavia VRS, Estate, petrol, manual Gear box plus Chassis control, rear Camera was reportedly built Middle February and is awaiting Chips, and three months later no one can tell me when it will be completed. I have even had a personal conversation from the Dealers Managing Director tearing his hair out because he can give no information. No nice salesy chat just an honest straight we don't know. Dealer has been very good with communications throughout. The Vehicle was ordered July 2021 and who knows when will arrive. People seem to be talking about Model 2023 so that will be post September. Is anyone doing better for a July 2021 order?
-
Delivery times?
Model year 2023 is built after September 2022.

Delivery times?
My story is exactly the same for a petrol manual hrs
