Really? It’s one press of the button on the steering wheel to bring up the menu, then one press of the same button to untick lane assist. You COULD press again to get rid of that menu but I don’t as it disappears anyway within a few seconds.

I have come to the conclusion that I must be weird….. or just don’t let small things get to me. The beeping when opening the drivers door is a reminder that your engine is still running, and I see it as such. On the extremely rare occasion I do this it doesn’t come close to annoying me. Lane assist is two presses of a button, no big deal and even if I forget and lane assist kicks in it’s just a gentle nudge, again no big deal. Smaller wheels would make the Kamiq (especially the MC) look ridiculous. More to the point, my MC rides and handles superbly, with little road noise. IF I had to nominate a gripe it would be the temperamental sat nav, but DEFINITELY none of the above. Maybe it’s just me……not being bothered about aspects of the car that are meant to behave the way certain people complain about. The occasional sat nav glitches are slightly frustrating because it behaves in a way that it wasn’t designed to behave…….THAT is a bona fide gripe IMO. Anyway, I’ll get my coat.

Dangerous?? How? At the very most it gives you a gently nudge/vibration so I fail to see how it’s dangerous? Its a minor inconvenience at worst, and unless you have the strength of a 3 year old I really fail to see how it’s dangerous. Somebody, please enlighten me.

I’ll never go back to manual, they feel almost ancient since I’ve had my DSG. Absolutely superb.

Same here, I drive numerous fire service vehicles with manual option and they feel completely natural.

DSG all the way for the 1.5, I’ll never go back to manual, the DSG is superb.

All that faffing and expense for no reason☝️ Trust me, good old dry scrunched up newspaper is the best screen cleaner I’ve ever used.

You have no choice, apart from scrolling to a different screen as has already been said.

I’m not denying it, I said it doesn’t FEEL any different. The official figures show that there is literally mm’s difference, so unless someone is ultra sensitive I doubt most will notice.

My Kamiq feels no different in ride height to both the T Cross and T Roc, literally no difference whatsoever 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agreed^^, I do not see what the big issue is with lane assist. Even if you forget to switch it off it’s a minor annoyance at worst……yet there are umpteen threads about it, Jesus😂😂

Do winter tyres really make that much of a difference? This is a serious question btw as I’ve never bothered to use them. Let me know, I’m genuinely interested.

The Kamiq is a mini SUV and the dsg7 box is superb so far.

Errr, ok😂 I’d be more than comfortable telling someone face to face who has a cheap and nasty aftermarket mod that it looks cheap and nasty, absolute zero problems with that whatsoever. Id also happily tell you to your face that you are a snowflake, why wouldn’t I? You are clearly one of these ‘modern’ type snowflakes who quiver and get nervous when someone says something slightly controversial. Saying that something cheap and nasty looks cheap and nasty is being an infant? No mate, it’s an opinion. Forums are for people to ask questions, invite opinions, share ideas etc and if you/he don’t like what you read then maybe this isn’t the place for you. My reply wasn’t abusive in any way. Do you get upset when someone doesn’t like the shoes you are wearing or isn’t keen on the car you drive? I cannot see what the big deal is with lane assist if I’m honest. On the rare occasion I forget to turn it off it’s a very mild annoyance at worst, and as soon as it activates I am reminded to turn it off anyway, so zero dramas anyway🤷🏻‍♂️

Looks cheap and nasty, I’d be getting rid of that asap.
