  1. Does the fan output change to feet/face etc?
  2. If you are patient you can contact Mike at Coverdale (info in my sig) and he will create a PDF with all the Skoda build info and PR codes for you.
  3. I have been changing plenty rear top mounts of late. Create all sorts of noises from a graunch to squeaks to clunks.
  4. Have you determined what caused the melting?
  5. I bought my Citroen Relay for £1600 six+ years ago. I spent around £2k on the conversion making a lot of the interior parts myself and trimming things up etc. We holidayed in it for that time, maybe every other month for weekends away and during school breaks. Less than £100 for a pitch for a long weekend. Had a great time with family, very relaxing indeed. I sold the camper a few weeks ago for £6500. In my view (and in my case) I would say that was pretty financially viable.
  6. That depends if the TPS outlet are breaking the rules and selling to non trade or not. You could always use our own parts service. Briskoda Parts - By Coverdale Car Parts
  7. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Volkswagen-Adapter-cable-loom-rhd-6Q2901129/274122859290?hash=item3fd2fee31a:g:l64AAOSwAqhd4~eu
  8. It's a separate loom for the sensor, order a new one and fit it.
  9. Yes, the sensor wiring goes directly from the sensor to the pump, it's not part of the main wiring harness.
  10. They are reminders for the rear seat belts. And no, service books have been out of use for a number of years. The service record is held online, you can obtain a print out from your dealer.
  11. My balls are golden, not crystal. A few vehicle details would go down well.
  12. A fair maintenance wash this weekend and shines up pretty well considering it’s 18 years.
  13. /\ /\ This all over /\ /\ The cars that come with the piddly 44 Ah battery always benefit from stepping up to the circa 60 Ah batteries from the TDI models. I popped into Halfords the other week to grab a battery for a friend, was in a bit of a pinch and was my only option. Her Fabia 1.2 TSI had a sub 50 Ah battery listed, I hadn't seen the car but wasn't overly convinced. I grabbed a Yuasa (5 year warranty) battery in the next size up, with the trade card discount it price matched the smaller sized battery anyhow.
  14. Most of the dealerships I have worked at have always been very conscious of a new sump plug and torque to 30 Nm, then mark to show torqued (and rightly so). On one of my less than co operative days I had a 19 mm spanner in my hand and thought that will do. My apprentice quite rightly pointed out that I was not doing it correctly. I assured him I had an age old fracture in my right forearm that opened up at 30 Nm, so when I could feel a sharp pain in my arm, then I knew it was tight. He was amazed and commented how handy that was.
  15. What is the voltage if you move the negative test lead to the other end of the earth cable?
  16. And the switch is in the correct position?
  17. Needs a diagnostic check ideally but a failing battery would be a good place to start,
  18. Valve block is its official title, but quite often refereed to as the vacuum box. Doesn't look like a MK1 Fabia.
  19. Injector controls? As mentioned previously, I don't generally top up the reservoir, if it's got a leak, sort the leak. But if the level needs adjusting we would usually use a syringe.
  20. You can tell without even diagnosing it? But then rattle off a list possibilities that require diagnosis lol Also I am not your ‘mate’ and don’t appreciate the aggressive tone.
  21. Cheaper for them? Guess it depends if the dealer is local or not.
