  1. Just put a post about this as I have wet carpet but can't see it coming in through door seal. How do I remove the scuttle?
  2. Cheers for that. I can't seem to see any water on the sides or door seals so I'm guessing it's the scuttle blocked. How do I take the scuttle off to dig out leaves etc?
  3. Hi all, fingers crossed this is an easy fix! I found that both my drivers side front and rear footwells were soaked tonight. Any help as to how this can be fixed would be great fully received.
  4. Got mine. Spot on. Only wish I'd ordered 4 for the alloys too. Always next time. Hahaha
  5. Look at the link he posted and scroll down.
  6. Cheers will do the tb clean. Think I still have the gasket number some where. How can I check the n75 without buying a new one? Which other pipes do I need to have a look at then to check for splits?
  7. My phone seems unable to copy paste. Choongmu 2x 80mm retro Cherrs
  8. Ha all I've had my mk1 vrs for 2 years now but I think over the last few months it seemed a little sluggish. Now maybe it's because I'm use to it and the power delivery now, but wondering if I've got a vac leak somewhere. I've had 2 codes come up, the good ol 17705 and 17545 but after they were reset they've stayed off. I've also had a problem mentioned on here when I accelerate occasionally it goes then suddenly backs off slightly. Any ideas and if it is a possible vac leak, which ones Should i check other than the breather under the manifold (which seems a git to get too). Cheers
  9. Have exactly the same problem. Passed mot bust inside edge on fns worn down. Same tyres fallen 452 except mine have only been on for around 18 month mid tread 5mm inside about 1.5
  10. Would you consider selling separately. Only interested in the gauge.
  11. Cheers for the help. Think I will give it a bash this weekend.
  12. Can someone help with how you go about removing these bits of trip, where the screws are and if you have to take out the stereo etc to do it.
  13. Sorry for resurecting this but just got some carbon wrap to do the grill and centre consol. Any tips and also how do you take the centre bits out as I don't have a Haynes that would no doubt tell you in detail! Cheers
  14. Got an alpine headunit in mine. Just an iPod controller. Green illumination sounds awsome. But the standard speakers got shown up by it so got new ones all round. You don't have to break the bank either £60-80 should get some ok components an replacements for the rears.
  15. Hi, Had the brakes changed but the garage has told me that they cant get the r/n/s calliper wound back and its totally rock solid. Managed to get the old pads back in so i can still drive it. However apparently a new calliper is £165 which is more than i can afford. Can you get the calliper serviced and if so how much would i be looking at for that? I take it i'd have to take it off and send it into somewhere. Any ideas?
  16. Just checked the wires and they look pretty knackered. Breaks on all of them. Guess it's a trip to skoda again for a new loom. Anyone know the code or price?
  17. Hi all, i was driving today and the EML came on, and immediately it felt like a misfire. I checked using the handheld i keep in the car and sure enough misfire cylinder 3. Had all the coilpacks replaced last week so went to skoda who replaced coilpack 3. I was in a bit of a rush so i erased all the codes whilst the guy was replacing the coilpack. Started driving home and it happened again, cylinder 3. Got home and turned the car off took the key out and went in the house, came back to take it to the local garage and nothing, it ran fine and i gave it a bit of a beasting, which i think would have shown up a weakness. Questions is, could i maybe have just not reset it properly and taking the key out has done it for me, or have i got an intermittent problem? What else could it be wiring? or something more sinister! cheers
  18. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201115384397099 Here you go.
  19. Looks very impressive and tons better than the oily mess that greats me everytime I lift the bonnet.
  20. Got mine done first thing this morning (obviously so I don't miss the wedding haha). However the guy also told me I have an oil leak as there was oil around the top near the coil packs....... I put it too him that it wasnt a leak, an that I didn't have a steady hand when topping my oil up. His reply "I didn't think of that"!!! And then people wonder why we go to independent garages.
  21. From what I've read previously on here you'll need mucho money to get anywhere near that bhp. Better off selling it and getting an wrx sti. Atleast the brakes and suspension will be sorted too. And before you mention mpg or insurance. There won't be much in it once you've sone the mods then declared it to your ins company.
  22. Called DM Kieth in Bradford, quick check on the reg and yes they need replacing, going in Friday....who wants to watch the Royal wedding anyway!
  23. I have a gsf ob the way to work so easy to pop in. Checked on the website for prices/options but as per anything now it seems you have to create an account. Think I'll go for the plain discs and predator pads then for the front. And same discs but mintex pads on the back.
  24. I did. It came up as a used car dealer in northern ireland which threw me. So I guess they also do parts too. Will call them. Cheers
