Error in channel 17 ( instrument panel) "No Basic setting" "B201000" After replacing battery Ateca 2019 ( Kodiaq 2019)
Nearly every time this error has been reported on the VCDS forum it has been caused by one of the settings in the service reminder section being outside an acceptable range.

160k and new dpf required perhaps?
That's what I was thinking too.

160k and new dpf required perhaps?
Maybe the DPF needs cleaning as it's too clogged for a regen to work?

Battery
On the hybrids there is a known problem with the 12V battery not being charged when only short drives in electric only mode are made - is yours a hybrid or fully ICE?

Missing SD card in 2016 Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSi sport
Agree 100%, even though I keep the maps on my Amundsen up-to-date I always use Google maps via CarPlay. I use this wireless adapter CPLAY2air

the truth about electric cars
Maybe it's not about ability to charge and/or range anxiety, but more about not being willing to accept being told what you are allowed to buy? I see the typical R-R owner as someone who makes decisions and doesn't take kindly to others telling them what they can or cannot buy...

Yellow epc and car won’t start
Probably all 4 cylinder EA211 engines are affected?

Rear jet washer
Plus I've found that some screenwash additives appear to be incompatible with each other and when mixed produce a jelly like gunk that jams the washer jets.

Missing SD card in 2016 Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSi sport
On some cards using a special tool - this was discussed on here a few years ago, so the posts will be really hard to find!

Water ingress
24 models started being built in about July 2023, so it's entirely possible that a 73 plate is actually a 24 model year. You need to check the build date and/or the model year digit in the VIN to be sure.

Retrofit options for my "new" Octavia 3 Scout
So long as the glovebox unit is a MIB2.

Octavia 2016 belt or chain?
TDI - all sizes are belt. TSI - up to 1.5 are belt, 1.8 & 2.0 are chain.

Sat nav update for mk111?
Update for what, firmware or maps? What infotainment system do you have - Amundsen, Columbus, something else? 2015 is the changeover year between MIB1 and MIB2 - which use different maps. MIB1 was early production until around May/June, and MIB2 afterwards. No official map updates for the MIB1 have been released since 2020 (approx), but MIB2 maps are available for 2026/27.

Adding a CD changer
The MIB units are actually in 2 parts - a simple screen in the centre console and the "brains" in the glovebox. The real problem with any non-OEM unit is that it's an infotainment system not just an entertainment system - which means it also is used to control several car functions as well. None of the third party systems successfully do all of that. So the real answer is to rip the CDs onto a large capacity SD card and use that in the car as an equivalent to a mega-multi CD changer.

Update to Version 1969
We know nothing about your car - is this firmware for an Octavia 4 relevant?

EV real world range and cost to charge
I love the lack of clarity about what times the "ultra low off-peak rate" is available on the Next Drive Smart tariff.

SOURCING A PAPER MANUAL IN ENGLISH
As I understand it no printed manuals are available in any language (most of them were never read so it's both a cost saving and an environment saving), if you want a printed manual then you have to download and print the online one yourself.

Missing SD card in 2016 Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSi sport
Not so, it's a card ID code that's unique to the VAG (inc Skoda) SD cards, there is NO extra chip.

Missing SD card in 2016 Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSi sport
My previous Octavia came without the map SD card for Amundsen (and the dealer said they couldn't get one) so I spent a few minutes on eBay and found many suitable Skoda map SD cards, look for one with a part number beginning 5L0 051 236. Since you have a MIB2 make sure you get at least a 16GB or 32GB Skoda SD card (I use a 32GB card and the full Europe AS maps). There is a thread on here 2026/27 MIB2 maps with links to the latest 2026 maps for the MIB2 Amundsen, and I can confirm they work on mine.

Lane Assist Retrofit
Wiring harnesses most likely made by/for Kufatec - it seems that OEM parts they supply are OK but any hardware or software that is Kufatec exclusive can be questionnable.
-
Lane Assist Retrofit
My experience is that their parts are good, but where they supply a dongle to make coding changes that's when the problems start as VAG make regular software changes that the dongle doesn't keep pace with.

Petrol or Diesel
If it's a 2.0L petrol VRS then it will have an EA888 engine, and to my eye the oil filler and dipstick are NOT in the usual place for an EA888 petrol engine (which is on the right hand - drivers in the UK - side).
