See my earlier post - certainly at St Ives beach there is little/no evidence of sea level rising in over 150 years.

I always get nervous at the word average as it can mask local effects and lead to unreliable assumptions e.g. if a few locations have large changes then averaging can make it appear that all locations have changes.

... and hydro and tidal to mitigate the need for so much battery storage for the effects of e.g. winter anticyclonic calms.

Rising sea levels is something that's always puzzled me for 3 reasons: 1) a few years ago I stayed in a studio apartment in the old fish warehouse in St Ives that was built in the 19th Century. It is right on the edge of the shingle beach, and the sea is no nearer to it than when it was built about 150 years ago - so no sign of a rising sea level there? 2) ground level height data from satellites confirms what my Geography teacher taught me in the early 1970's, which is that due to tectonic plate activity from the mid-Atlantic fault the UK is tilting on a North-South axis with the East coast dropping. So 'rising sea level' on the East coast of the UK is actually falling ground level. 3) many of the Pacific archipelagos seeing apparent sea level rise are actually built on coral reefs around a long extinct subsea volcano. Given the softness and erosion of that coral it is possible that again what is happening is ground level falling, but I cannot find any satellite data to confirm or deny this possibility. So I would suggest that more reliable independent data would be useful.

Risk assessment, mitigation and avoidance are great skills to learn and apply especially when dealing with potentially dangerous or lethal items.

With the second largest GHG emitting country Emissions Database for Global Atmospheric Research saying it's a scam I suspect it will be much harder to convince Joe and Julia Public in any country to make their, however small, contribution to reducing GHG emissions. That's the clear and present danger of the new US policy for us all.

I'm interpreting this to mean policies of any Government since this is a global issue. The new Trump led US Government has openly declared that they will withdraw from the Paris Agreement, roll back the Biden climate initiatives and expand fossil fuel exploration (the phrase "drill, baby, drill" has been used frequently). Some of these changes have already been actioned on the very first day of the new administration by Executive Orders. Be interested to hear peoples opinion on this policy and what it means for the global climate 'consensus' now that one of the biggest emitters of GHGs has pulled the plug on climate change actions.

Debatable what the relative merits of those ports are: Southampton - major container port, major cruise terminal, ferries to France and Isle of Wight. Plymouth - major Navy port, ferries to France. Portsmouth - major Navy port, ferries to France and Isle of Wight. Poole - ferries to the Channel Islands.

Which is quite normal if you e.g. have Normal selected and have tapped the gear selector back to select DSG Sport mode, then the infotainment mode will show Normal but the instruments will show Sport. I quite often do this when overtaking, then when back on the correct side of the road tap the gear selector back again to return to DSG Drive mode.

Car mode (Eco, Normal, etc.) is NOT the same as the transmission mode (Eco, Drive, Sport). Go into Indvidual and you will see a long list of mode options for the different systems.

Are you asking about a firmware update or map update? If firmware you'll need to provide more information, specifically the current firmware version.

Climate change has happened over the millenia (as can be measured by e.g. CO2 concentrations in rock samples, radio carbon dating of organic samples, etc.) and historical records of e.g. Romans growing Mediterranean grape varieties at Hadrians Wall forts and the Middle Ages mini Ice Age. CO2 levels are not at their highest in Earth's history, during the period of the dinosaurs there is some evidence that CO2 was at around 6% - hence the huge vegetation growth and large vegetarian dinosaurs. What's still debated by some is the relative effects of natural cycles vs human activity.
