New owner, personalisation questions....
This is an option which requires folding mirrors and, to work properly (for the mirror to return to the correct position) requires memory seats. If you have folding mirrors but not memory seats you can enable it but the mirror will not reliably return to the correct position.

Terminal 15 Error
Means there was voltage present when not expected or no voltage present when expected or voltage wrong value. Time to get a multimeter onto a terminal 15 connection.

LED/HID Headlights....
Same situation with LEDs as HIDs, the headlamp unit must be Type Approved for LED bulbs.

Add to my list of 12V systems the engine ECU.

the truth about electric cars
The important thing to remember about payback calculations with solar panels is their half life i.e. the number of years when their output will be half what it was when new. Typically the half life of monocrystalline and polycrystalline PV panels is around 25-30 years, no data available yet for thin film panels. https://www.renewableenergyhub.co.uk/main/solar-panels/how-long-do-solar-panels-last

the truth about electric cars
As already mentioned in my reply to wyx087 my friend does have a battery.

Skoda Connect
The UK mobile companies will keep 2G going beyond 2024, they have agreed with the Government that it could be as late as 2033. 3G is another matter, Vodafone have turned off 3G already in much of the area where I live - BUT haven't yet provided 4G coverage so in many areas where I drive the only data coverage is Edge (2.75G) which is crazy slow.

the truth about electric cars
Sorry I missed off home battery which he does have. His major disappointment with his Volvo EV is that it doesn't support V2H - but he needed a suitable towcar for his large caravan.

stop/start fault on start up
Nobody is saying that you said not to code a new battery - the point of difference is what happens if you don't code a new battery. Read your earlier post - you said that NOT coding will lead to the alternator not charging - this IS NOT TRUE. We are all saying that the coding needs to be done after changing the battery, but you are saying if you don't then the battery won't charge - but what actually happens is that the battery DOES still charge but it takes time for the BMS to realise a new battery has been fitted and to adjust its charging regime to take best advantage of the new battery.

the truth about electric cars
Well said - with the vast increase in non fossil fuel based generation there really is no even half decent reason to link the UK price of electricity to world gas prices. Even a good friend of mine who has an EV, an all electric caravan, PV solar panels, house battery and a heat pump finds it difficult to financially justify his investment due to the high unit cost of electricity - but is emotionally happy that he's doing the right thing for the environment.

stop/start fault on start up
That's not what several other members who have fitted new batteries without coding have posted over the last few years? They claim everything works as normal and the new battery charges OK? You're the only person who has posted that not coding after fitting a new battery leads to the alternator not charging...

stop/start fault on start up
Since I'm not an MOT Tester I can't confirm that.

the truth about electric cars
And let's not forget that even if/when we get to a 100% 'clean' National Grid and 100% EVs there will still be the PM2.5 particles from the EV tyres -l et's not kid ourselves that EVs will remove ALL pollution from where they drive to where electricity is generated.

Amundsen MIB1 maps update ?
I've just entered the VIN of my 2015 Octavia that had a MIB1 Amundsen into the Skoda Update Portal and got a "server error" message, so it looks like Skoda have removed the MIB1 Amundsen maps from the portal. Please can any of the map finding experts on here (e.g. @MartiniB) help with a suitable download link such as the MIB1 STD1_P94?

Amundsen MIB1 maps update ?
That's a MIB1 Amundsen card that originally had the 2014/15 Europe maps on it IIRC.

When I saw the subject "AV update" I thought Anti-Virus update not Audio-Visual update 🙃

the truth about electric cars
For the benefit of all it's important to be clear that NOT ALL hydro projects are pump storage ones such as Dinorwig, Pass of Brander, Coire Glas etc. In fact they are the minority, most hydro projects are purely generators not pump storage.

Infotainment Firmware Updates & More
I couldn't find a link to MIB1 Amundsen map updates when I searched earlier, which is why I suggested you post in the Audio Electronics and Security forum which is where map updates get discussed.

Infotainment Firmware Updates & More
I think you're being offered MIB2 maps which don't work on a MIB1 unit. I think you need to ask in this forum where to get MIB1 Amundsen maps.

Auto lower mirror while reversing not working
My previous Elegance didn't have memory seats and suffered from this random mirror dip position (once I enabled it using VCDS), but my current L&K has a memory drivers seat and the mirror dip works perfectly (so long as I have the mirror switch in the L position - nearside on a RHD car).
