  1. The first link is a complete wheel AND tyre set, so it comes with directional tyres which must be fitted on the correct side.
  2. I've had 2 Octavias with start/stop, first one was on original battery when sold at 7 years old and second one is still on original battery at 8 years old - start/stop worked/works correctly on both.
  3. VCDS keeps files that record both coding and adaptation changes , CodingLog.csv and AdpLog.csv in C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Debug - open those in Notepad and reverse the changes you've just made.
  4. The one in your hand only has 2 dots? Dashboard dimming is done by a sensor in the dashboard itself, not by one on the windscreen. I think you need to get someone do do a scan with VCDS, OBDeleven or similar to solve this question - that will show what is actually fitted to your car. My feeling is that the scan will show a module 20...
  5. There are usually several recommended tyre pressures shown on the fuel flap for different loads (one person, 3 people, three people plus luggage IIRC). @mccririck Which recommended tyre pressure were you comparing against?
  6. I'm trying to remember what the basic #20 camera I had in my previous Octavia looked like and I'm 60% it looks like your picture. That gave HBA (High Beam Assist i.e. auto dipping headlights).
  7. So module 09 is seeing the ignition switched terminal as unswitched. I would check against a wiring diagram where module 09 gets its ignition switched feed(s) (there may be more than 1) from and get tracing with a multimeter.
  8. It's not only a rain sensor it's also the light sensor for auto lights. So you can have an auto lights only sensor, or a combined auto lights and wipers sensor (and there are 2 versions of that, one which allows auto window closing when it rains and one that doesn't) - confusing it most certainly is! Do you have auto lights?
  9. Me too from the part numbers.
  10. It depends on whether yours is an early 2015 build or a late one, early builds have a MIB1 infotainment system which doesn't support CarPlay or Android Auto - my previous 15 reg Octavia had a MIB1 - later 2015 builds have a MIB2 which does support CarPlay and Android Auto.
  11. When start/stop doesn't work it's always worth checking the infotainment screen that gives an explanation why it isn't working - things like aircon, electrical load, etc.
  12. The advice re timing belt is much longer than 5 years, so no you do not need to replace the timing belt unless you have done over 100,000km. Water pump changing on the 1.4/1.5 engines doesn't have a schedule, just replace when faulty or the belt is sowing signs of wear when visually inspected.
  13. Firmware won't solve it, but there are people and tools that can enable some additional features (such as CarPlay & AndroidAuto) - I'm not one of those people!
  14. Have you asked in the Octavia Mk4 forum? The Mk3 and Mk4 have quite deiferent electronics.
  15. What features do you want to enable, some need a FeC code not just a software update.
  16. Cost and availability at the time of production - even Audi do this, it's not a "Skoda thing".
  17. You'll get far better (any?) response by posting in English - which is the official language of this forum.
  18. They're all shown as intermittent which means the faults weren't present when the scan was done but were historical.
  19. But if ODIS says there's no updates then the dealer will say it's up-to-date even if the car has known issues (like the climatronic sync issue you mention). This is what puts me off moving to a Mk4 - getting the firmware (and in a few cases on older Mk4's hardware) on several modules updated isn't as simple as it should be because Skoda don't acknowledge all the issues.
  20. IIRC this was mentioned on here a few years ago as happening when the tank is about 3/4 full due to there not being any/enough baffles in the tank.
  21. Check for binding brakes or failing bearing on front right wheel.
  22. Based on my several times a day browsing the Octavia 3 and 4 forums, personally I'd look for a FL Mark 3 first.
  23. Leave the key in the ignition and don't open the door?
  24. With VCDS it shows modules that are SFD locked when you do a scan, I don't use OBDeleven so can't comment on whether that indicates SFD locked modules in a scan.
