I doubt it, my 2016 Amundsen doesn't have WiFi so I've had to add a CarPlay2Air plugged into the USB to get wireless CarPlay.

NX is the platform code, since the facelift is still the same platform it too has NX in the VIN.

Even when nobody in the world is burning petroleum based fuels we will still need lubricants and the base materials for plastics (even when we have got rid of all single use plastics). Since even so called synthetic oils are still based on crude oil distillates there will still be a market, albeit a much smaller one, for countries to extract crude oil and gas from the ground.

I've had a couple of occasions after a service when the dealer has added Audi/Skoda screen wash that a couple of weeks later a screen wash nozzle has blocked when the Skoda/Audi screen wash has reacted with the Holts screen wash I use to form what I can best describe as 'gloop'.

I did have one diesel B6 A4 (a 1.9TDi Sport GmbH Avant) - I remember there always being some residual vacuum that took several presses of the brake pedal to 'use up'. Sounds most like a vacuum leak or faulty non-return valve to me - but you've checked those, and if the brake pedal does gain assistance when the engine is running I *think* that rules out a faulty vacuum pump or servo diaphragm (but I could be wrong). BTW I did once manage an average of 75mpg on a tank of normal diesel, but I was driving 'like a granny' 😂

WiFi turned off in car and/or phone? Wireless AA and CP need WiFi as well as Bluetooth.

That doesn't surprise me, if the software developers in the instrument cluster and BCM don't talk to each other then the instrument cluster can incorrectly interpret the fault code from the BCM. VAG software is a nightmare, even more so in the most recent models where development of much of it has been outsourced 🤨

VCDS is the new name for Vagcom (after VW threatened Ross-Tech with copyright infringement for using the letter combination V.A.G) so no Vagcom/VCDS has never been official VAG software. It's been written independently by Ross-Tech from the very beginning.

VCDS can only report what the VAG software tells it, so when it reports strange units of measure or wrong fault locations it's VAG that are to blame not VCDS. I had a report of a faulty right rear sidelight, but actually it was the left front sidelight - checking through the raw VAG diagnostics data it was clear that someone at VAG had done a 'copy and paste' job hence the wrong location!

Multi colour LEDs need more than 2 wires, I suspect they either stick with white or fit a blue LED instead.

You have to pull the handle out into the car as well as pulling it towards the rear, it's a delicate balance between opening the bonnet and breaking the handle.

AFAIK the only real options are OBDeleven and VCDS for full VAG diagnostics. You could try looking on auction sites, but if the price looks too good then they will likely be a rip-off clone (best clue for VCDS clones is if they come with a CD, genuine VCDS doesn't as the SW is free to download with updates for life).

As it's name suggests WD40 is a Water Displacer rather than an actual lubricant like GT85. My ex-BIL was a repair technician for Hoover white goods and always used GT85.

Over the years I've had several cars "chip tuned" or fitted larger & wider wheels or fitted sports/custom exhausts or car audio systems - all declared to my insurers and not one increased my premiums or compulsory excess.

Cuts in Government funding in recent years for e.g. the SERC led to there being some eminent scientists appearing on the media expressing concerns that as their funding would now have to increasingly come from corporates they would be pressured to produce the "right" results from their now commercially funded research. There's a long history over hundreds of years of the accepted scientific status quo being eventually overturned by scientists who were initially treated as heretics or pariahs, e.g. the sun and planets circulating around the earth. So I believe it's understandable that research results from funding by corporates and a majority view may not be seen as an accurate representation of scientific 'fact' in some quarters.

At least once a week while my partner does some shopping which is of no interest to me... Most new EV owners will have come from an ICE or hybrid and will expect to get the same sort of information made available to them - if they don't then they will 'bad mouth' their new EV to all their friends - this is why they must continue with the "legacy 'trip computer' from the 90's" if they want to get customer acceptance, like it or not most people hate change.

I suspect most people will see it as an estimate of range, which if it doesn't include energy usage when in P will make it useless in many owners opinion.
