  1. I've just entered the VIN of my 2015 Octavia that had a MIB1 Amundsen into the Skoda Update Portal and got a "server error" message, so it looks like Skoda have removed the MIB1 Amundsen maps from the portal. Please can any of the map finding experts on here (e.g. @MartiniB) help with a suitable download link such as the MIB1 STD1_P94?
  2. That's a MIB1 Amundsen card that originally had the 2014/15 Europe maps on it IIRC.
  3. When I saw the subject "AV update" I thought Anti-Virus update not Audio-Visual update 🙃
  4. For the benefit of all it's important to be clear that NOT ALL hydro projects are pump storage ones such as Dinorwig, Pass of Brander, Coire Glas etc. In fact they are the minority, most hydro projects are purely generators not pump storage.
  5. You're posting about this in two places which is going to cause confusion! Please stop posting in this thread and continue only in the other thread.
  6. So FL cars are likely MY2025, only way to be sure is to check the MY digit in the VIN i.e.digit 10.
  7. I couldn't find a link to MIB1 Amundsen map updates when I searched earlier, which is why I suggested you post in the Audio Electronics and Security forum which is where map updates get discussed.
  8. For background see https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/490193-infotainment-model-numbers/?do=findComment&comment=5903300
  9. Which is why this forum has a Location setting, so when you post anyone who reads your post can know approximately where you live - please update your profile to include a Location.
  10. I think you're being offered MIB2 maps which don't work on a MIB1 unit. I think you need to ask in this forum where to get MIB1 Amundsen maps.
  11. My previous Elegance didn't have memory seats and suffered from this random mirror dip position (once I enabled it using VCDS), but my current L&K has a memory drivers seat and the mirror dip works perfectly (so long as I have the mirror switch in the L position - nearside on a RHD car).
  12. 2025 map updates for a 2015 MIB1 - I'm puzzled?
  13. New maps for the MIB1 AMundsen stopped being made available in 2021 - 5 years after the MIB1 Amundsen was last fitted to a new car in production. If you enter your VIN into the Skoda Portal you will see the latest available maps.
  14. Note I said physically unlock (i.e. by sliding the cover on the door handle and using the actual physical key) this is for when the remote doesn't work.
  15. Did you also clean the Haldex filter? That would have shown/collected any debris.
  16. A VCDS scan will show you the BCM part number. Here's what it shows on my 2016 L&K: Component Protection removal requires access to the Skoda servers, so can only be done by a dealer or an independent with online access to them.
  17. Nerd point - the only Quattro is THE Quattro, all other AWD/4WD Audis are badged quattro.
  18. I've heard that if you physically unlock the car with the spare key then put it in the ignition and press the unlock button it will resync the rolling code?
  19. I read your question as ANY 12V battery!
  20. The 12V battery is required for all the 12V systems in the car - lights, infotainment system, heater fan, central locking, alarm, etc.
  21. Not just the vRS, it's the same on my L&K and my previous Elegance.
  22. The centre section of the rear seat base stands slightly higher, this is how they all are.
  23. When I looked into a bigger screen for a MIB1 Amundsen I was told that none of the bigger screens will work due to the different screen resolutions, and vice-versa that the MIB2 & MIB2.5 units wouldn't work with the smaller MIB1 style screen.
  24. Correct, the Quattro (note the upper case Q) had a Torsen centre diff - as did the early A4, A6, etc quattro (not the lower case q) versions. Later A4, A6, etc.versions switched to Haldex to lower emissions.
  25. Unlikely, in the past facelift changes have always taken place when the factory has its summer shutdown and on reopening builds facelifts with the new Model year VIN.
