  1. Larger wheels = lower profile tyres = harder ride. Depends if your priority is aesthetics or comfort.
  2. I first had ACC 7 years ago, initially I was frustrated when it started to slow down a long way behind a slower vehicle, but now I just take over the accelerator to maintain speed (or slow down gently) and use the extra time it gives me to pull out and overtake safely. Compared to CC on busy British roads it's a game changer IMHO, and I never want to go back to CC again.
  3. If you have a faulty ABS sensor then changing it will fix the problem if it is the source - since we all sem to be going round in circles getting nowhere nearer a theoretical solution then maybe the time has come to try something that has been suggested - provided it doesn't cost too much?
  4. When you have a failing ABS wheel speed sensor it can result in TPMS warnings (since it is an indirect TPMS system that uses the same sensors as the ABS), so it's not a false warning but a warning being reported strangely by the firmware in the ABS system. So as you have been told many times, you must replace the faulty ABS wheel speed sensor on the left hand rear wheel.
  5. I wonder if this is either a PFL vs FL issue, or a post-Dieselgate issue? @FrankNicklin is your Octavia a facelift model (I.e. two headlamps each side)? Mine is a pre-facelift with a single headlamp each side.
  6. I'm guessing by the driver display you mean the letter before the gear number in the top right? How have you setup individual? - there are many settings including those for steering, DSG, ACC, etc. which are all separate.
  7. You will get more response if you type in English. Google translate says:
  8. I run my 16 plate in Individual which is remembered every time, including the DSG in Eco mode.
  9. @Tellsuggested you need a SW version beginning 4 or 5, yours begins 3 - so it's unlikely. If you don't have the Skoda Connect option visible on your infotainment system, then a dongle & SIM will be no use to you.
  10. Original factory fit from 2016. Had a hack done to enable CarPlay so not sure whether I would lose that when updating to the latest compatible version...
  11. If you used VCDS then VCDS keeps a log of all adaptation changes you make in C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Debug in a file called AdpLog.csv (it also keeps a log of all coding changes in CodingLog.csv in the same folder). So if you open that file in e.g. Notepad you will be able to see the changes you have made including the before and after values.
  12. Which makes me ask: - can an FL MIB2 Amundsen be EASILY retrofitted to a PFL model? - how can you tell the difference between a PFL MIB2 Amundsen and an FL MIB2 Amundsen, is there an obvious part number suffix change?
  13. That implies a change to the Leuchte related adaptation channels not a coding change.
  14. I've just checked and my MIB2 Amundsen 5Q0 035 874 A definitely does NOT have the Skoda Connect option, so I for one cannot use this alternative.
  15. Yes, the connection to the USB sockets is a piggyback onto the connections to the 12V socket.
  16. I'm pretty certain that the MIB2 Standard (Amundsen) in my 2016 Octavia III doesn't have the Skoda Connect option either. Is this actually a MIB2.5 Standard alternative, and not applicable to a MIB2 Standard?
  17. Rear parking sensors is standard, automatic parking with 12 sensors (fromt, rear and sides) was an option on most models.
  18. Did you get the correct rear wheel speed sensor, there are two types - cars with the park pilot require a different part.
  19. None of the OEM systems for the Octavia 3 have wireless CarPlay, however you can get adapters such a CarPlay2Air that allow wireless CarPlay for MIB2 units.
  20. Buy a genuine card off eBay or similar auction site, where they are available for around 1/10th of the cost of buying from Skoda.
  21. +1 definitely need to know the fault codes. Have you had a chip tune? Some tuners (incorrectly) disble some of the fault code detection firmware in the ECU.
  22. The clutch is hydraulically operated, so sounds more like something on the pedal to me?
  23. Strange, on both the Octavia 3s I've owned it shows tyre sizes as well as pressures?
  24. I hope you mean 2,000 not 20,000?
