UK Public Charger Network & price increases as they are announced. Please post here as you become aware of any changes in the costs.
I'd stop that sentence at "to store it...", yes batteries are one option for storage but pumped hydro and creating hydrogen to be stored for later use in a fixed generator is another - there's probably more that others can think of. As in almost everything a "one size fits all" approach is normally not the best way to solve a problem.

Please replace key battery...
I think it comes down to battery construction, if the internal resistance is higher (due to the way the battery is built) then the open circuit voltage will be OK but when a current is drawn (like when the fob is used) the voltage will drop below the threshold set and hence the voltage warning be generated. This may explain why fresh Panasonic batteries don't seem to have the problem?

Thoughts on this 65 plate 2015 1.8TSI Octavia Laurin & Klement hatch?
Just taken one using my phone on the drive at home so far, will try to head up to the Westbury White Horse later today and take some hi-res photos. Loving how it drives, the 7 speed DSG is a much more relaxing drive than the 6 speed manual and the extra oomph of the 1.8 over the 1.4 is very noticeable, the combination of DSG & 1.8 gives some insanely high instatntaeous mpg figures (over 250mpg already seen!).

Driver Assist Functions not Working
Don't condemn the module without first checking the fuse that supplies it and the wiring to it - simple cheap checks first!

Skoda Octavia 3 Owners register
Just collected my Octavia 1.8 L&K hatch, replacement for the1.4 Elegance estate that my ex got (and AFAIK has now sold). Really enjoyed the drive home, it my first DSG (7 speed) shame there are no steering wheel paddles but beggers can't be choosers! Now to start doing many of the tweaks I had previously done.

Infotainment don't recognize status of ignition
Sounds like it's not seeing the Infotainment CAN connection - all those things send messages over that. Time to check the connections at the back of the main infotainment unit, and if it's not that get a fault code scan done.

I want to know the color code of a car?
it's visible at the bottom of the windscreen.

At what tread depth do you change tyres?
Summer shower, slight dip on the A14 Newmarket bypass with blocked drains, water across all 3 lanes. Saw the car in front panic brake and go into a tank slapper only narrowly missing the artic in the next lane, I just lifted completely off the gas and went straight though the puddle with no drama before braking to avoid the panic stricken driver in front.

Thoughts on this 65 plate 2015 1.8TSI Octavia Laurin & Klement hatch?
Price definitely matters, but trade-in for the Aygo is good too, had two quotes of over £13,000 for the Aygo so I'd actually get a tiny bit of cash!

Thoughts on this 65 plate 2015 1.8TSI Octavia Laurin & Klement hatch?
Skoda Octavia 1.8L Laurin & Klement TSI Previously had a 15 plate 2015 1.4TSI Elegance estate but that went to ex as part of divorce settlement, now looking for something to get me back into Skoda ownership instead of my Toyota Aygo x-clusive.

Columbus SATNAV
That's not true with Google maps - when at home on your WiFi you can download offline copies of map areas onto the phone. Then when driving the only data usage is for traffic information as the map data is on the phone. I have Google map data for the southern half of England on my iPhone which means I never have to use mobile data for maps in the areas I drive in - and always have maps even in "not spots".

At long last... SW Version 1896
Blame Dieselgate for that, cars have to startup in the mode used for the WLTP emissions testing now, which means Normal mode.

Strange faults
Has the BCM been correctly coded and, even more important, have the (several hundred) adaptation channels been set correctly?

Drivers Side passenger headlight washer cover
Side is always taken as viewed from sitting inside the car and looking forward, so drivers side UK is right.

Help, Satnav update!
Note that if your 2015 Octavia has a MIB1 sat nav the latest maps available will be 2020 as new maps are only available for 5 years after last production date, which for the MIB1 systems was mid 2015.

Predictive Adaptive Cruise keeps dropping to 60 on A roads
Related issue showing how GPS can jump between right and wrong speed limits - I have a Road Angel Pure speed camera warning device which until a SW update about a year ago always showed the correct speed limits when on major roads, but since the SW update frequently jumps to the speed limit of a parallel or even crossing road so I'll be doing 68mph on a 70mph road and it will suddenly tell me the speed limit is 30mph and then 50 yards later revert to the correct 70mph limit. I've learnt to ignore this annoying SW created false alert, BTW Road Angel have not even responded to me reporting it as a bug. This shows how the explanation that @KenONeillhas suggested is not only entirely plausible, but is actually present in other GPS devices.

67 Plate 1.4TSI Cambelt change
On the EA211 (1.4 & 1.5) the water pump has never been driven by the cambelt, it simply can't be as the water pump is on the other end of the engine! The reasons the water pump is changed at the same time as the cambelt on other engines, such as the 2.0, is that it gets disturbed during the cambelt change and there was a problem in earlier engines so it made sense to do a preventative change.

67 Plate 1.4TSI Cambelt change
There has been much discussion (and many opinions) on this topic. Skoda UK recommend a cambelt change after 5 years but other importers recommend longer intervals or even no planned change since VW originally said that the cambelt on the EA211 was "lifetime". So I guess it all depends on your attitude to risk, this is an interference engine so if the cambelt snaps or jumps valves will hit pistons and a big bill will result. I'm risk averse so I bit the bullet and had the cambelt changed at the 5 year service on my previous Octavia 1.4TSI.
