Tyres for RS...
I had many different tyres on my previous Audi RS4 - by some distance the PS4 and PS4S were the best in terms of grip, ride, handling and lifetime so @The Wandererexperience seems strange to me and suggests something may be amiss such as tracking and alignment (they are very sensitive to tracking and alignment). The other tyres I had were: Pirelli PZero Rosso, Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 5 and Vredestein Sessanta. P.S. The PZeros Rosso' were SO BAD I vowed never to buy another Pirelli tyre again - zero wet grip, unpredictable dry handling and ridiculously short lifetime - even the 'cheapo' Vredesteins were miles better.

Need help with making sense of numerous failure messages that came all at once
That's not the whole truth, if you don't change the battery serial number the BMS will assume the old battery is still fitted and will still try to manage it as such (possibly including load shedding) - after some time (several hundred miles has been mentioned) it will 'twig' that a new battery has been fitted and start learning the new battery characteristics. Changing the serial number will start that relearning immediately.

Octavia Scout 2015 Headlight upgrade
To be legal Xenon headlamps have to have headlamp washers and self levelling too - so you need to add the headlamp washers, and replace the manual levelling switch with the height sensors and the module to interface to them.

Hello from East Devon
Welcome, I used to live in north Devon and had a 2015 1.4TSI Elegance estate - good choice of location and car 😄

Infotainment Model Numbers
1. There is a button labelled 'PTCD' (in the lower left IIRC) that appears when you are entering a destination. 2. Map updates can be downloaded from the Skoda portal (or from direct links posted on here), make sure you download the Amundsen MIB1 update that includes the UK. I always save the contents of the SD card to a PC hard drive, then quick format the card (FAT32 with 2K cluster size) and having unzipped the downloaded file copy all the unzipped contents onto the SD card. Insert the SD card into either of the SD slots in the glovebox and wait - sometimes I had to remove and reinsert the SD card for the Amundsen to correctly identify it as maps.

Reduce speed limits to support Ukraine?
Not all of us who are Leo's born with Leo rising have the same approach to life.

Reduce speed limits to support Ukraine?
No option to reduce my driving as I'm 'next of kin' for a relative who is in hospital 120 miles from where I'm living. In the last 3 weeks it has snowed twice and been several morning frosts where I'm staying so turning the heating off hasn't been an option, but I have turned it down 2 degrees. Having said all that, I'm doing everything possible to avoid giving any support, financial or moral, to any Russian or Belarussian people or organisations.

Which years? August 2021 and September 2022 (or September 2023?).

Reduce speed limits to support Ukraine?
Which is why any person or organisation who are connected to the National Grid and does not generate more than the energy they consume who claims that they use 100% renewable energy is quite simply a liar. My power systems lecturer during my Electronic & Electrical Engineering degree was excellent at debunking false claims ☺️

Coming back to Skoda….
What models are you considering? Some (most) comments will be model specific.

Infotainment Model Numbers
It's an Amundsen, so all it needs is the correct Skoda SD card (note it MUST be a Skoda SD card not a 'vanilla' SD card).

Reduce speed limits to support Ukraine?
The only way any consumer can use 100% certified renewable energy is if they are connected to a (non existent) parallel version of the National Grid. I have no doubt they PAY for 100% renewable energy to be placed ONTO the National Grid, but that is not the same as USING 100% renewable energy. The electrons don't know who paid for them to be placed onto the grid, they just take the path of least resistance meaning whatever you pay for is unrelated to what you use and is determined by the combination of network path resistance and generating sites closest to you able to meet the demand. Anyone who says they USE 100% renewable energy because they PAY for 100% renewable energy simply does not understand how the flow of electricity works, and if the make public declarations that they use 100% renewable energy then they are guilty of false advertising.

My Insurance notified me of my vehicle involved in an accident! Seems very easy to prove it was not thankfully.
I hope you didn't mean 2022 - unless you own a DeLorean time machine?

Fuel requirement
In the UK & EU E10 means a maximum ethanol content of 10%, so in theory it can be anywhere between 0% and 10%.

Problems ordering from Superskoda (items weigh too much apparently)
It wouldn't solve the need for the paperwork necessary to import the goods into the UK, but it could get round Superskoda not being willing to do the paperwork if the 'entrepreneur' was willing to do the paperwork and charge appropriately of course. Maybe they could do bulk shipments to a UK based warehouse, as I understand it the paperwork and charges are in some part per shipment?

LED Bulbs keep burning out
Chinese manufacturer based in Guangzhou who sell direct, via ebay and in Nigeria - wouldn't be my first choice. I have replaced most of the bulbs in my previous (non-Skoda) and my current car with LEDs, but I have used only Philips bulbs - never had a single failure in over 10 years.

Brake pad knocking
VAG - the V8 in the Audi S4 & RS4 (and other vehicles using those engines) all have the timing chain at the back.

Need help with making sense of numerous failure messages that came all at once
That old OBD reader likely isn't compatible with the CAN bus only diagnostics of the Octavia III. If you do fit a new battery then don't forget to code the battery management system so it knows you have fitted a new battery, otherwise it will still assume the old battery is fitted and still be likely to turn off some systems. If the battery is the same capacity and type all you need to do is change one digit in the serial number field.

LED Bulbs keep burning out
Who are the suppliers and manufacturers of the LED bulbs? Some of the cheaper ones of Chinese origin are known to lack over voltage protection. Also worth checking the alternator output voltage when charging to make sure you don't have a voltage regulator issue.

83.6 MPG!
Government policy doesn't differentiate between petrol & diesel, from 2030 all new cars have to be hybrids whether petrol or diesel, and from 2035 all new cars have to be electric. And those dates might get brought forward according to some commentators.

Need help with making sense of numerous failure messages that came all at once
Much of the electronics is very voltage sensitive and the battery management system will turn loads off to protect a battery in poor condition. Having said that, if a battery charge doesn't solve the problem then I had a similar set of faults last year on a 2015 Octavia which turned out to be a failed right rear speed sensor - best to get a fault code scan done rather than jump to conclusions.

Hit and Run
Report 'hit & run' to Police offering dashcam footage - they have experts who can enhance images. If damage sufficient to want insurance to pay then obviously inform them also.

Problems ordering from Superskoda (items weigh too much apparently)
What we need is an entrepreneur to start up in Northern Ireland acting as an intermediary for shipping, for fee of course.

EV Service costs, there is stuff that needs doing as the years and miles go on, & more than just a look see.
Usually a white silicone lubricant spray is used, which is much better than WD40 (which is basically a water displacer not a lubricant).
