  1. Magnetic Brown. The Turtle Wax Hybrid Wax with Graphene is amazing.
  2. Sheesh, that’s a lovely fleet of cars you have there ZacDaMan!
  3. Probably easier for you to take and paste a pic of what you can see on your car, so AS can comment on that?
  4. Right. I’d had enough, so I had to clean it today. Bit better than it was a couple of days ago….
  5. Jeeesus! I got 37k out of the P7’s (18k of which I added after Prykey traded it) and they still had 3mm all round! Mind you I got 56k on the Contis I had on the MKI Superb, so clearly I do drive like a Granny!
  6. No, not if my experience with the Conti All Season is similar to CrossClimate, albeit I’ve only had them since the end of November and have covered 2,500 miles, so no hot days as yet. Interestingly, the first thing I noticed was they’re so quiet vs the P7’s they replaced. I went with the Conti over the Michelin, based purely on the overall dry and wet performance rather than snow, as we get so little of it here, but we recently had one morning where we woke up to about 4cm and it was like driving on a normal wet road. The amount of snow which had been thrown-up into the wheel arches was amazing!
  7. You must have very clean rain down there… this is how ours looks after a month!
  8. Yeah but how many days of rain have you had in 2 months, JR?
  9. Well I’ve done sod all to the car for a month. I hate it being dirty but with the wet weather followed by our builder occupying the garden for three weeks means it hasn’t been cleaned for five weeks. 🤮 I’ll shut up moaning now… The only good thing is that the TW Graphene Wax makes washing it a pleasure. It’s amazing stuff.
  10. That exhaust system is a thing of beauty…. 😔
  11. Sorry for the late reply. Please look through this Sticky….
  12. Copy and paste…. site:briskoda.net 280 spark plugs …..into the Google search bar and watch the results appear before your very eyes….
  13. Perhaps get a VCDS owner nearby to scan the car to see if that throughs-up any fault codes.
  14. Yes, you have to remove the tray. IIRC, once the screws are out, you need to slide the tray forwards to remove tongues from grooves at the front of the rear tray. It’s a PITA, as is uncoupling the plug and socket you need to bridge. PS - I might be wrong, but I think there could be more than 8 screws? Anyone have an illustration to confirm?
  15. Would these be valves in the rear boxes? If so, I'd be very surprised if it would produce the issue you describe. I’d suspect it would be related to an injection issue.
  16. If you don’t me asking, but what was the cost of the two maps?
  17. GLWTS, but I’d imagine most 280/272 owners won’t be letting go of their pretty rare cars anytime soon.
  18. Well, that’s not very nice!
  19. Cheers AS. I haven’t touched it for years since the first and last time, so I’ll have to have a look and see if it’s possible to repair it. Last time I looked for a replacement, the cost was so ridiculous I ditched the idea.
  20. Yes, but mine falls to bits when I remove it from the holder… 🙄
  21. Try this…
  22. Oh of course it was going to be a £1,500 part, but then it was… ….n’t! 🙄 Still so many dodgy so-called mechanics around, ready to rip people off.
  23. Best deal I got last year was through Sterling, which is part of Adrian Flux.
  24. Personally I think the carbon “effect” always looks cheap and nasty; they’d have to be colour coded to the car so it’d have to be a bodyshop jobbie.
  25. Horses for courses; there’s no right or wrong decision. One is limited to the max performance of a box but not with a map, albeit beyond Stage 1, it gets very expensive.
