Those generic obd readers cannot access the abs module unfortunately. See if you can find a local member who has a VCDS cable. That can do a full diagnostic scan of all the modules. There is a thread on here with a map of users, I'll see if I can dig it out.

When changing the wheels the suspension will have obviously dropped much lower than it would do when sat on the wheels. One of the abs cables could have been damaged at this point.

That's normal behaviour. Depending on how the car is coded and whether it has a rain/light sensor leaving the lights in the on position can be used for coming and leaving home, where the lights stay on for a number of seconds when you unlock or lock the car.

I should be able to get a picture of the connections later on. Am I right in thinking though that if I am keeping the standard BT rather than using the inbuilt in the RNS315 it should use the standard microphone connection?

My original fit Columbus is on its last legs, rebooting itself, DVD drive whirs away sounding like a plane taking off then gives an error message every 15 min or so etc, so time to replace it. I mostly listen to the radio, and I'm really not bothered about phone integration beyond Bluetooth for calls and maybe music streaming, so I've bought myself an RNS315 DAB that was going cheap. It all works as it should, however I'm not sure what to do with the Bluetooth. I left the original BT module connected under the seat, and my phone paired fine to it. It appeared correctly on the screen and in the maxidot etc, however when I made a call, I could hear fine, but the other end couldn't hear me. The RNS315 has the Mac address populated on the sticker so I assume that it has built in BT. When I disconnected the BT module and rebooted it, it said that phone was not available. I couldn't see anyway of activating the built in BT. Do I need to code the RNS BT to activate with vcds, or is the separate BT module better? Do I need to do anything with the wiring for the microphone, or is it a setting somewhere? From reading other threads @pab567 seems to be one of the most knowledgeable on this these days. Any help appreciated.

Sounds like you have the basic greenline spec, rather than the elegance greenline, so the halogen headlights are correct.

The green line was available with a few trims. Do you have leather seats, Columbus satellite navigation and dual zone automatic climate control?

The chrome cap is fitted to cover the gap on cars without headlight washer. Auto lights don't necessarily mean xenon lights. Only the elegance and L&K trims got the adaptive xenon lights fitted as standard.

What trim level is your car? Also, do you have the headlight heigh adjustment control next to the light switch? The halogen units look like they have washers fitted just like the xenon units, but it's just a blank plate.

Yes the backs fit as well, although you might also need the seatbelt buckles. I think the original buckle will still work, but I think it was angled differently so would fit the hole in the seat base better. They're only 1 bolt to undo.

I had exactly the same with my Superb when I bought it, and it was just down to the unlock button being faulty. Replaced it with a new one and it worked fine.

I fitted a set of 16" 5 spoke that were standard on the lower spec Mk7 Golfs to mine, and I think they suit the Superb quite well.

They should self clear after driving for about 1 minute.

Is the plate a nice coincidence? Never been sure how private plates work over there.

Both 85v and 12v are technically correct. All D1S bulbs are HID and are thus high voltage at the bulb. The ballast on the inside of the headlight unit boosts the voltage from the car's 12v up to the required voltage. Unlike a halogen bulb, a HID bulb will not run directly on a 12v source, it needs the ballast/driver to work. Both of those bulbs linked will work in your car.

If you're talking about mk2 Fabia vRS seats, then they will bolt straight in to a mk1 Fabia with no modifications. I presume that sepulchrave thought you were talking about mk2 Octavia vRS seats, which as he said will not fit in a Fabia.

Posting a picture will help as the MK1 Fabia didn't have any kind of USB input as standard. The only thing that I think could look remotely like a USB in the glovebox is a key slot to deactivate the passenger airbag, if it had that option fitted.

They look different to the London colour kit I fitted to my old Octavia, but that was 10 years ago now. Fitting any used xenon headlights for a MK2 Octavia these days means the chances of the reflector bowl being burnt out are quite high. Even the youngest of the prefacelift cars are now 14 years old. If you can deal with the faff, the best option would be to fit an entirely new set of projectors while you're doing it. If you're then going to the effort of fitting a new projector into the headlight, you'd be better off with an LED projector. It will be brighter than the xenon equivalent. So long as they still auto level, have the right beam pattern and have the washers fitted they should pass and MOT just fine.

What trim level is your car and are you sure you've got halogen dipped beams? Elegance trim cars had bi-xenon fitted as standard, and the set of bulbs required are different to the lower trims with halogens.
