Crater 19 inch - opinion
I bought a set of 16” winter wheels for my Yeti but now know they should have been on 7j rims et45. I was sold 6j et43 but they did fit perfectly . I now find these are exactly correct to use on my Karoq, so will be fitting them soon. Be interesting to see the change in the ride compared to the 19” rims. I now know I was using non type approved wheels on Yeti so may have had insurance issues after an accident. Conversely, they are exactly correct for a Karoq, and you may have issues with 7j wheels not type approved for your car.

Lane assist is dangerous
I have a Karoq and the lane assist can be turned on or off in that and the car remembers the last setting. Easy to turn on and off as well so I do quite like it on a dark fast dual c’way. The car can just about follow the lane turning the car through the bends. There is a jerk if you veer across a lane marking but not enough if you really want to cross it. Nothing at all if you indicate. It can get confused if the lines vanish or where junctions are though. Surprised the Kamiq doesn't remember the previous setting

Crater 19 inch - opinion
The ride on 19” wheels on my Karoq edition is much better than a Yeti on 17” and possibly equal or better than a Yeti on 16”. (I have had 3 yetis on a mixture of each, first on 17”, second on 16” and the last having both 17” summer and 16” winter wheels) Be careful though as some sport versions have even lower profile tyres on their 19” wheels and with the speedo gearing set to suit the smaller diameter, I have read elsewhere that you are stuck with this and a very harsh ride

Jacking kit - Anything missing?
My phone changes spellings after I have checked what is typed whilst posting. Very annoying

Leaking Panoramic Roof - The Cause and the Cure
Not sure about the Yeti but on the superb if the drain on the scuttle area blocks water gets into the car through a cover. Ruined carpet had to be replaced together with electrics under seat

Jacking kit - Anything missing?
If it's missing take a picture of the licking but in close up, invert it on a computer as in a mirror image, then go on best and find a second hand one that matches. I did that when I lost mine (left on the nut when I drive off!), and saved a lot of money. There are surprisingly few variations of licking but designs. It does look like its not there as the storage hole is empty. Something worth adding is a long screw in rod, cost under £10. Take a bolt out at the top and screw the rod in before removing rest of the bolts. It supports the wheel in place and makes putting the you're on much easier as the bolt holes line up. Very useful when swapping from summer to winter wheels if you have some.

Jacking kit - Anything missing?
I think that is what's it's for. Probably holds two tubes or wires apart on the engine somewhere so they don't rub

Driver Passenger window opening on its own
Are you sure? This was a regular issue with Yetis and could simply be reset by closing the window, releasing and then holding the close button again for a bit with the ignition on?

Skoda roadside assistance
Yes it comes with the car new and passes on to subsequent owners up to 3 years old. If you find a second hand or buy a new car with the optional 4 or 5 year extended warranty though this does not include recovery after 3 years.

Second hand fob can it be programmed another Kodiaq
Doesn't it have an emergency key as well that has to fit the car like my Karoq, so you can open the drivers door. If so you need to get one from Skoda and get it programmed to work with car as well

Karoq Auto Engine Stop / Re - Start
So intelligent use of the stop start saves fuel, reduces pollution and means you have an engine which is much more resistant to wear. By turning it on and off with the button depending on the situation you get the best if both worlds
-
Karoq Auto Engine Stop / Re - Start
Stop start cars have starter motors designed for a huge number of starts. Stop start does not work unless engine is ok to use it. Lots of parameters including engine temp, battery state etc to decide if on or not. You will notice the engine starts near instantly with little turning by the starter motor. The engine stops at the right point in the cycle for near instant restart. It is so easy to turn it on or off with the button that I change it many times in a trip. On at traffic lights or when pauses are likely to be long. Off at junctions and roundabouts where I want no hesitation going for a small gap. Off in slow stop start traffic. Don't forget that you can restart the car with a slight wiggle of the steering wheel if it has stopped at a junction or lights and you want no hesitation before moving off

Two issues with my Karoq
I suspect you have too many tracks in one folder or indeed more folders than it can register? I think there are limits.

Two issues with my Karoq
Could the car have been stood for some time due to covid? My new car had been stood for about 5 months between build in Feb and buying it in August and consequently the battery was ruined and would not charge. If special batteries in stop start cars are completely flattened and left like that for a they often will not charge again properly. It had to be replaced. First sign of a problem us that systems start to fault, and stop start is first to go as won't work unless battery is well charged

keyfob battery failing with *no* warning
Same with dsg. If you have your foot on brake it starts. If you just want ignition on to say alter settings leave footbridge off and ignition comes on without it starting.

Anyone have this problem?
Seems like Skoda have resolved the issue by no longer fitting them at all!

Traffic sign recognication
Yes mine was showing a 20mph limit for miles recently when actually unlimited!

Shopping bag hooks in boot
No they work perfectly in the version without a spare wheel or variofloor. Just the right height for a bags handles. The cago net clips to loops on the floor which are covered by the raised floor.

DSG Gearbox
Which version does my new 7 speed Karoq 190ps use out of interest?

How to prevent windshield fogging up?
+2, I never turn the aircon off. (Never noticed any difference in fuel consumption either whilst trying driving with it on or off either) Heated windscreen is a near essential for me as well. Wouldn't buy another car without. I had it years ago in several Fords, then went without for a superb and two Yetis. Third Yeti had it and brilliant. Now my Karoq has it and I have already had to use it this autumn.

KESSY PROBLEMS
I t was brought in some time ago as a security upgrade, and my car should have it as built after that date as a MY20 car. I must admit I have not been able to check? How would I do that? Must have misread the 15 mins, 5 mins is even better. Still concerned that I could be walking from my car to the shop though past someone with a scanner who has watched what car i came in and is busy getting in as I walk away. Hence always secure lock by disabling the proximity sensor.

Anyone have this problem?
Wow. Probably cost 20p to make and I would need 4. I will manage without!

Anyone have this problem?
My recent new car didn't come with any such covers? Have they given up with them?
-
KESSY PROBLEMS
No lock with one press on the remote, then touch the door handle to disable unlocking when close to vehicle with key. Can only unlock with remote so no risk of a scanner picking up key and opening vehicle via a transmitter.

KESSY PROBLEMS
They do now? After 15 mins stationary they turn off as a security measure so a car thief can’t boost the signal from inside your house to the car. However I always double lock when walking away anyway.
