  1. Leak from rear washer pipe which runs inside car?
  2. The heated mirrors have switch
  3. And for years I have been religiously turning them off as soon as possible to ensure longevity! Never had one fail either, so perhaps not required as you suggest.
  4. Would a Karoq seat fit? My new cars seat is electric and could well be straight plug in for use in a Yeti with electric seat? it is definitely more comfortable than my previous Yeti with electric seat. You may find one at a breaker’s
  5. Do I want my guarantee to be possibly voided if something major goes wrong.....? At best you will have an argument before getting anything sorted and in all my 8 skodaas in the family so far there have been at least minor warranty issues. Current car had the battery replaced at 2 weeks old!! 2010 Yeti was a very early version of that model and had a number of significant warranty repairs done which must have cost into thousands.
  6. I am not that impressed. Bought a heavy duty liner for my Yeti in 2010 and used it in 3 cars for 10 years. I often put boxes in it for my site visits as a civil engineer and all my tools whilst doing up my sons house. I let it go with car as changing to Karoq and it was in excellent condition. Not much use in Karoq so far and the plastic side is already marked and scratched in several places from same boxes. It also does not cover the whole floor leaving a section uncovered behind the seats?
  7. My car had to have a new battery at 2 weeks old. It had been standing since probably march until I bought it in august. If the battery goes completely flat it can write it off, as it will no longer take in a high charge rate and never fully charges again.. The AA guy who helped me when it would'nt start say there was a batch of faulty batteries around that time affecting Skoda, VW and audi cars with lots of such failures on new or almost new cars. Absolutely fine since the battery was replaced.
  8. If you have the clamp on type the clamps are too large for Karoq rails. I am considering adding rubber pads into mine so they fit safely
  9. Yes, of course, the ride on the 225/45 tyres is fine, and much better than previous Yeti on standard 17" wheels, probably equivalent to Yeti on 16" which I had on my 2nd Greenline Yeti or winter tyres on third Yeti.
  10. Surely the advantage of the varioflex seats is that they are also removable. I have had Yetis for 10 years and have frequently had the seats out to give a van back effect. I have moved my daughter to and from uni and now to her house 170 miles away. With one rear seat left in I surrounded her with stuff. I do agree though and we have never used the central seat as an armrest or taken it out and slid the side seats in for more space, or altered the back angle or slid them forward. I also regularly took the seats out to get my bike in the back. My car came from stock with the goo and pump but it was easy to retrofit a spare wheel. The supports for the raised floor does have to be modified slightly though if you have the varioflex seats so you can reach the catches. Easily done with a blade. This way you also get the pump and the goo if by mischance you suffer two punctures in one go. The pump is also very useful anyway.
  11. Fitted my winter tyres today. As above bought for my previous Yeti but turns out they were narrower at 6j than specified for a Yeti but actually spot on for my new Karoq. The ride is even better with 16” wheels on now, even though acceptable on the 19” ones. Only issue is that the speedo is even less accurate at 10% out now ie @ 55 on speedo Car is exactly at 50mph
  12. I was advised to change rear discs at 2 year service and about 30k miles. I declined and the car still passed it’s mot a year later. If the brakes work effectively and the discs are not down to minimum thickness or excessively scored that is ok.
  13. No, I meant if you opted for optional heated windscreen it also has to have the heated nozzle option. You could though have heated nozzles on their own as an option.
  14. I did always tick that box for heated nozzles as small extra cost, and once heated windscreens were made available as an option the heated nozzles come with it anyway as a package.
  15. It worked for me in my20 car by putting in the search box the town first then the street I wanted. May work for poi?
  16. I did around 12k a year in my Yeti and my wife did under 4K a year in a diesel fabia for many years with no issues or warning lights. As long as you regularly do a longer trip the emmision system will stay healthy. For the fabia it was a 50 mile return trip on a fast road about every other week, with all other trips much shorter. Whilst I agree that this is a major consideration when buying new, second hand you might as well get what you prefer driving. If you can stretch to a 150ps later diesel it is Euro 6 and much less likely to have issues or be barred from low emmision areas. Really nice to drive as well and some are 6 years old now.
  17. Mine was being driven long distances but the battery was unable to take in the charge as it had been damaged by storing for some months between build and sale to me.. Every thing else was working
  18. 20 years? 2030 is just over 9 years away!
  19. Do you know when to t was built? My early 2020 car did not have them?
  20. You may have a dead battery if the car stood a long time between build and delivery. Mine had to have the battery replaced at 2 weeks old as not charging properly. Stop start issues are often first to come up as battery volts too low for it to work. If the battery is allowed to go completely flat and left for some time it may never charge properly again. Skoda, vw & audi have had a spate of dead batteries this year and the AA guy who had to help me said he was aware of a bad batch out there.

Be interesting then when I swap my 19” wide wheels for my much narrower 16”winter tyres shortly. I don't seem to be able to beat 44 mpg on display yet driven sensibly.

I am not certain but posts on here previously started that the edition on 19” uses a 45 profile tyre as set up more for comfort whilst the SE L and sportsline use a 40 profile. This means that you can't change those to the 45 profile as speedo is then incorrect as it under reads. There is someone on here very unhappy with his Sportline because of that?

If you want comfort go for the edition with less extreme tyre profile and not the other versions?

If you fit 16” wheels they have to be 6j width to comply and not cause insurance issues? Quite a change from the 19” 8j on my edition. Having said that I will shortly be fitting the winter wheels and tyres left from selling my Yeti as I now know that I was sold the wrong wheels for that car as they are 16” 6j and not the 16” 7j which should be used on a Yeti. The Karoq edition on 19” is better than a Yeti on17” and may even be better than 16”
