  1. There just wasn't time during the screen fit to take the connectors off, but I will have a look in the Spring . There car is a Cat C write off with evidence of a previous messy screen change, so it wouldn't do any harm to remove the panel behind the N75 valve and have a better look.
  2. 5L0 853 577 for the white clips 5L0 853 573 for the black clips Both around a quid each
  3. A replacement screen today was an opportunity to annoy the fitter by taking photos Can't help but be shocked by the external state of the engine ECU, which set my mind wandering ... I have the 'hunting' idle problem that's well documented on the Caddy forums, could the external damage indicate water ingress, and be the root cause?
  4. Can anyone assist with a part number? Removed for a screen change and all bar one each side are knackered.
  5. Regensburg Syndrome
  6. This is a known issue with OEM Satnavs and often signals the start of the end, a Google search shows there are many similar forums posts
  7. @PipH Thanks, I didn't realise that

My door srips are peeling off and look terrible, I think they are fixed with double sided tape? Any recommendations?
  10. 1.6 tdi engine? It's probably the start of EGR/turbo vane problems - try running premium diesel and/or a tin of your favourite turbo cleaner through the tank and taking it for an Italian Tune Up.
  11. I used to use a Thule rack and 9000 box that fitted to the towball, sold now. Child added for perspective.
  12. Hire a 7 seater.
  13. The video was taken during a regen, the smoke appears to be coming from the short 8", open, 'atmospheric' pipe of the DPF differential pressure sensor. Should smoke be coming from this pipe?
  14. I suppose that makes sense, I'm no mechanic so that wouldn't have occurred to me! So, a figure of 46 hPa just before a regen, dropping to 15 hPa afterwards is reasonably accurate?
  15. Thinking I have a split in a rubber DPF pressure pipe I dismantled the sensor mount today and removed the rubber DPF pressure pipes; One rubber pipe goes to a metal pipe, which exits from the top end of the DPF (part 24) Bit shocked to find that the other pipe was only about 8" long and is connected to nothing, it vents to atmosphere. I was expecting this to be connected to a second post PDF pipe which would show the differential pressure pre and post DPF. This rubber pipe hasn't been cut, and has no marks indicating it's ever been attached to anything. 7zap catalogue shows 1.6 and 2.0 CR engines having 2 pipes, one each end of the DPF (part 25) Photographs on a google search, and photos of 1.6tdi DPF's on eBay only seem to show DPF's with one pre-DPF metal pipe. How can the DPF sensor perform correctly comparing pre-DPF pressure to atmospheric pressure, surely it would indicate a blockage and constantly regen ? Car is a 2012 model, no fix applied.
  16. Just need to let a few months pass so he forgets me ... I hear he's making friends locally on a daily basis so I may have to form a queue.
  17. I believe part number 3C0131552R
  18. Found it ! Only had a few seconds to video the smoke which appears to be coming from the DPF to DPF sensor pipe - hopefully just a leaky pipe. VID_20211013_125614~3.mp4
  19. No start/stop, and nothing on the negative terminal.
  20. The vehicle is local. I think I should refund him, along with a blob of superglue on each coin to ensure they don't slide off the bodywork and get lost
  21. I updated my RNS315 with 2021 maps for £20 off eBay, very impressive piece of kit and not as fragile as the more expensive RNS510 units
  22. Folks, I've changed the battery in my 2010 Yeti S but when I've come to change the coding I've noticed the following; 1) There is no 61 Battery Reg module 2) In 19 Can Gateway, 0A extended adaptation there are no group options available Where do I change the coding, do I need to code the battery in a 2010 car?
  23. The 'full' story with the benefit of information from the witness .. the 'offender' was travelling in the same directions as me, directly behind my Yeti in a 40mph area. As I approached a right turn I joined a long filter lane and I was still doing 30ish, as I did so the offender drew level with my Yeti on the nearside and whilst matching my speed threw a handful of coins through the open front passenger window, my daughter was in the nearside rear passenger seat she saw him, described him and her story matches that of the witness. All windows were down as it was a hot day, my attention was on the approaching junction and my attention was not on vehicles passing on my nearside in their own dedicated lane so I didn't see the build up - as you can imagine it was quite a shock to suddenly have things flying around the inside of the car. The coins came through the front passenger window, some hit me, some hit the windscreen immediately and some are still down the back of the dashboard. My injury was to the side of my face/head but adrenaline was flowing and I wanted to speak with the driver so the injury wasn't an urgent issue. This was no accident, traffic behind me witnessed what happened and stopped so I had an opportunity to rejoin the main road and to follow him, he knew I was behind him and that we had things to discuss, he drove away very fast (Audi A5, lowered, blacked out etc) and with my child on board there was no way I was going to match his antics so we pulled over an immediately called 999. Luckily? this happened in the village I live in and social media put me in touch with witnesses later that day. I fail to see how the story 'falls down' because I'm not declaring a few cuts and a headache when the bigger concern of a grown 50 something adult thinking they can pick on a random motorist to perform such a reckless act in moving traffic for no reason - not that any reason would warrant his actions in my opinion. The 999 operator, the police officer tasked with investigating, and none of my uniformed colleagues have ever heard of such an incident before and in total that is a good few hundred years of experience between them. I've not spoken to the insurers yet as the large star shaped crack is on passenger side and not immediately an MOT or safety issue.
  24. It was the police's veiled questioning touching on a possible false windscreen claim that bothered me. That aspect was entirely driven by police ... and that bothered me.
  25. To be honest I don't feel inclined to assist police any further, we gave them valid details of car and driver, and details of another witness and although a retired officer suggested the incident could amount to criminal damage with intent, the current policy is to only deal with cases that have supporting video footage. I will discuss with my insurers as you suggest.
