  1. If your main 12V battery is low, then the light on the SOS will most likely be solid red. The fix is to put the main battery on change for a minimum of 2hrs, as this is what charges the battery in the OCU. If the SOS light is flashing red, usually means lost Comms, and the fix is pull fuse for 10mins, insert and drive 200m. Take the advice as rough guidance, as stored fault codes affect the advice, which I don't know what's stored in your car.
  2. The latest SW Train is 0480, but that probably won't clear those codes out. Can you check the SW Train history, so we know where it start at originally 02xx 03xx 04xx version.
  3. Google and find SSP504, then you will be able to see the VRLA, and on next page the labyrinth for wet batteries.
  4. Nice work, glad to see it worked out for you there!
  5. In theory for the main infotainment software 1896, all the updates after *should* be OTA (or a version close to this.) Other radio firmwares again are trying to go OTA also, for other Infotainment systems. As for charging, time = money, and main dealers will change (unless some push from VAG - unlikely) Independent workshops will be able to flash all of the car's control modules and do all the same work as a main dealer, the exception being is they don't have easy access at all to infotainment updates, they *might* be able to order a USB stick from TPS, or they might have a friendly main dealer who will supply the files needed (again unlikely) Bottom line, dealers have access to infotainment updates, independent workshops, usually no.
  6. I wouldn't attempt it myself, unless you have tools/abilities to open and bench flash it. The software train will tell you which MIB you have, afaik standard MST2
  7. It would appear they may have done such a thing ☺️
  8. You have the latest version. MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4526_1440.7z

  10. I think you are right on that for sure, most of the folks that reach 100 always talk about drinking daily 😉
  11. Cheers, that will help others that have same 🤝 p.s. Still working my way down the bottle (carefully!) Though I might just take some now, got a late Xmas present of a cold 😄
  12. I will be honest and say in November I was on erWin Skoda for the hour access I paid for, and while there put in Octavia 21 to get a look at some of the TPI's knowing they would be of use. They don't apply to me, but thought it a good idea to share 🤝 Not sure what firmware 3470 is for? EDIT: They are pretty much like the MMI updates, VAG don't provide a changelog, you have to read the TPI's like above to get a rough idea as to what is being fixed, they don't give you details on what is being added in. Exception tends to be some massive package like the ID v3 series, where they like to make a song and dance over it all, praising all their new functions.
  13. Welcome to the forum You have 3x things going on here at once. The 1896 firmware is for the infotainment system The digital dash flickerering is separate issue, cured by loading firmware 1402 version into the dashboard Travel assist is an issue with the capacitive steering wheel, they should remove and check for any short, and if none found, they disable the feature
  14. @sneal Yes it can take time for many DISS reports to be sent in, before they scratch heads a realise there is a pattern. Big, slow and cumbersome springs to mind... 🤔
  15. @sneal Glad to have helped you! Hopefully you can get SW update it needs 1400 to 1402 if applicable.
