  1. Your car battery would go flat if you left it on for that amount of time.
  2. Afternoon, I will send you a link to 0253 via PM for VW
  3. Codings are stored in permanent memory in each module (though not sure if that one has coding) so you can remove and test.
  4. varooom replied to LesG's topic in Skoda Karoq
It's a MIB3, and there's an update to 0278. But don't expect it to fix the issue, as there are lots of threads about errors during user reg.
  5. Yes in a few moments...
  6. Yes, via PM MHI2_ER_SKG11_K3343 1433
  7. There are hardwire kits you can fit with a quick release coupling. So when you want to charge to plug in quicker. If you use the crocodile style clamps, then ignore that as you won't be hardwired, just a temporary connection.
  8. Yup, the L shaped bracket is where you attach clamp for negative charging clamp. So you can undo the nut and attach a permanent wire there for quick-release charge wire.
  9. You are bypassing the car's own battery monitor connection to the negative pole if you do, so it won't know the amount of energy in the battery. You will see the sensor attached there.
  10. J519 is just an example of a possible issue, that's internal to car. But in engine bay the lambda sensors should send values to the engine ECU.
  11. Let us hope your clean up has sorted out your issue if I have read that correctly.
  12. You probably will need wiring diagrams at this point to begin tracing wires to and from the affected parts. You might find all of the 'roads' lead back to J519 (as an example) that handles a fair few electric circuits and could be source of your troubles. So grab wiring diagrams from erWin Skoda, cost of 7 Euro for 1 hour and download ALL of the documents for your car (20-30 files roughly) you can also grab a build sheet of PR codes that will show the parts fitted at factory, this can help someone find the correct parts to supply your car if needed.
  13. 0138 is the last version in the 01xx number range. So no update.
  14. That's a CAYC engine (they are only 3-4 digits) Answer is 210,000km, time shouldn't be a factor.
  15. On your vehicle document, V5 there will be engine number. BMN12345 CAVE12345 for example
  16. Best post up your engine code to confirm if yours is indeed a lifetime belt. VAG will be covering themselves by changing their tune to 5yrs, that being said I wouldn't personally trust a 'lifetime' belt as the term itself is ambiguous. If your battery works, and you are not getting any symptoms, you can carry on I would say. For peace of mind you can take it to be tested and get a basic health report done.
  17. Yes, it's 0480 version, I guess you would like a link now too 🤝
  18. Good luck with the next part...
  19. Could be starter yes, I would try not to drive it very far or not at all if possible. Dealers default to deny all the time, doubt they would change a habit of a lifetime, they need to take the car back ASAP as this is more than likely an error in their work. Instructions are downloaded from erWin Skoda for 7 Euro (about £7.49 give or take) and contains wiring diagrams/repair and maintenance manual.
  20. Welcome, hopefully the car serves you well. 🤝
  21. I was just looking at the instructions for removal, battery out, along with tray (so a point of failure there for your charging) Then the starter motor is also removed, and the wiring to that is will have a good Earth. In short, this is most likely to have been caused by them, your battery would have been giving you signs before it's "failure"
  22. Even when using a VIN filtered search on my car, it will list SACHS & LUK as possible fits, for items that are not fitted the results are greyed out. Meaning the factory fit either, basically depending on the stock they received/best price that order for the two suppliers. So you can fit either brand usually. EDIT: Not sure of your VIN, but you have either a 1U or 1Z choice, and I selected 2010(A) as the MY (usually one year ahead of reality) Don't use these part numbers, as they could be wrong, but to show you that there is a note on to say "see workshop manual"
