You are probably correct, but I prefer not to assume 😆 Not sure of the button combo, but someone will be along, or hit the google. If that does not help, then you may have a stuck flap, so you need to code read the car to find out which one(s) is/are stuck.

You should let us know which system you have, electronic climate control might just need a reset of the flaps to change the mix of hot/cold air that passes over the heat exchanger. A picture can say a thousand words.

Updating the software won't add new features, they are activated by codes from factory/dealer. MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P0080L MU 8755 Is an available update, this seems to cure some sound issues people are having. Your only other choice is to change the hardware, but this will not be easy task.

The "Skoda" cards are just an ordinary SD Card, that has a special CID (Card ID) that is also programmed into the head unit, and when the two handshake and match up, it will read any old, current or future map off the card. This CID is only needed for Amundsen, if you have Columbus, any generic SD Card will work, as the map is copied to internal drive. If you are in the UK, then you won't need the 32GB card, unless you travel all over Europe a lot, the 16GB card that you hopefully already have, can be loaded with UK/France/Spain, and should suffice for most people.

You've yet to convince me of that today, most danger comes from website logins that have a username as your email address, and then some sheeple put in the same password for the lot. All it takes is a lapse in concentration to input both into a forged website, and then you are caught, they can then login to all the usual places (gmail/amazon/meta etc) and scrape your address and person pics etc. I still don't get how having a WiFi password and SSID alone would narrow down your home address, a leap too far (or I need more coffee)

Most of the thing you need to adjust when you place in a new Gateway is the installation list, so it needs to know if you have ABS/TPMS etc. Online coding could be done, but if the car doesn't drive to the garage that makes it fun. What tool do you have to program the Gateway?
