How many have rejected or are in the process of rejecting?
There's too many for me not to be suspicious - same with the new Golf.

Later Mk4 builds.
Thanks for the advice Ajdude - I'm thinking it might be dodgy - private owner - 'couldn't get on with the high tec screen'........... I pushed for service details and it seems the head unit / info unit has been changed......

Anyone on here recently rejected a red SEL estate, YP70WLW?

Factory optional extras, WLTP and impact on year one road tax
I’d imagine that would work if it was a Skoda price increase but as it’s a EU inspired UK Revenue & Customs tax increase it all comes down to dealer goodwill...........

Does the Finance perks ruse still work without trouble?
Thanks for the pointer towards Carfile Skidpan, a good deal can be had it seems ......... pity about the £40k road tax - you'd think the extra 'luxury' tax would have increased / moved with the times over the last 5 years?

keyfob battery failing with *no* warning
Yep, my Golf, coming up for 11 years / 100,000 miles, both fobs still going, the Karoq lasted 20 months / 6500 miles. That Kessy system sure does use the charge.

Does the Finance perks ruse still work without trouble?
Thanks Marky, however, it's the second time around thing I'm concerned might make 'em (VWFS) reluctant to play ball.........

Does the Finance perks ruse still work without trouble?
I’m getting on a bit and thought my 10 year old Golf might see me another 10 years and in to my 80’s - but on the other hand, the ‘care home’ or worse might be just around the corner so, sod it, I’ll get something more fitting for myself, I’m thinking a TSI280, a anonymous looking beast I’ve admired for some time. Question is, does the finance offer ruse still work? That is to say, (I did this 2 years ago) can you still cancel and pay it off a week or so into the finance deal and keep the perks, I.e. the £3k discount and the £159 service deal? I’m wondering if VWFS UK might hold some sort of ‘blacklist’ and refuse me? Anyone done this more than once?

Windscreen wipers intermittent operation even when switched off.
- Automatic date&time (GPS)
Ours refuses to set the correct time via GPS also - I’ve turned it off but have to go through a few hoops to reset the time when the clocks change.- Skoda MkII Kessy and Fuel tank flap lock issues
Might be in the wrong forum the above post - but what is the 'dreaded' Kessy fault?- Iphone or Android
....and another one here.- Interior light.
Missing the point here KennyR, that being, things have changed.........for at least 20, maybe even 30 years it’s been ‘normal’ for the interior light light to come on when the ignition is switched off........Kessy comes along and the (very handy night time facility) is somehow dropped. Seems it’s also a deleted ‘feature’ on BMW’s too.........- Interior light.
Like I said just after you posted last week, a truly backward step by VAG on keyless vehicles.......- Interior light.
It’s one of life’s great mysteries.......a truly backward step by VAG.- Hazard Lights
I'd lock it a second time to disable the alarm system and see if it still misbehaves...........- Trouble auto locking car
Back of the hand works best for me........- New Karoq, first impressions and comparison
Our 2019 SEL has the puddle lights and the SKODA lights - pity the red door markers don’t light up.......- 1200 mile Covid Service
Calm down Tiger........you miss my point - but you are right, too many feck'n rear a******** on here.........- 1200 mile Covid Service
Been in to main dealer this morning for 2nd annual service, 1200 miles since last March, 7000 in total. No complimentary vacuum, no complimentary wash, no complimentary coffee, no complimentary biscuits, no complimentary air freshener hanging from the mirror and, best of all, no discount....... .....and just for good measure, I've got to wait on a call and return sometime in the future for a replacement steering wheel ribbon connector, currently on 'back-order' with Skoda. Nice.- Mood Lighting
Out last night and noticed the coloured mood lighting that runs along the front door cards and across the dash is not as I remembered it. It might be just me having a senior moment but I'm sure the 2 short lines under the instrument bezels used to be illuminated whilst driving, now they fade out when the engine starts. Perhaps it's always done that, anyone?- Cleaning touchscreen
Hmmm.......I wonder, did they really do PDI, have those front offside wheel bolts been checked, is the brake fluid level correct and the cap back on.........etc, etc?- New SE L boot rattle
Both components, the one fastened to the bodywork and the one held by the small Torx bolt have ridges in ‘em that ‘lock’ into each other to help secure firmly - it’ll be obvious when you slacken off. However, as someone previously mentioned, be sure to note where it is now, that is, how many groves/ridges are visible before you start.- New SE L boot rattle
Making heavy weather of this guys........just pull the cover off with your fingers from the top and adjust as required...... - Automatic date&time (GPS)
