Have u performed the "Confirmation of Installation Change" procedure yet? U need a new XOR Key to fix this. It's all explained in a how-to-guide I created a while ago. Although given u changed BOTH screen and headunit, u probably don't require this step.

For those interested, the EA888 Gen 3B engine cover fits nicely on pre-facelift Superb. U just need 2x engine cover ball studs (WHT007324) for the engine cover. It screws into pre-existing mounting holes on the intake manifold. My original engine cover had APR badges on it which was no longer relevant, so I ended up replacing it with the Gen 3B engine cover version. The two ball studs screw into pre-existing mounting holes on the intake manifold. Engine cover part no. is 06K103925CK. I stuck a Skoda badge on top of the VW logo 😁

Battery Adaptation coding can b done via VCDS or OBDEleven. This is the coding.....

Nope, too complicated to do all that and most likely I'll stuff something up and brick the unit. I'm not comfortable doing that.

So I had another look at the coding again. Comparing mine to an MY18, the first 6 codes r the same, i.e. 038401. But I noticed Byte 17 and 18 r also related to the Skin and Screen. Prior to me doing the MIB2.5 upgrade, byte 18 was set to "00". Post the upgrade, it changed to "03". Perhaps if I change this back to "00" it might revert it to the Pre-facelift image. Will try it some time in the next few days and report back.

agreed, that would b ideal - someone with a non-FL MY18 or MY19. after i did the MIB2.5 upgrade, my 5F long coding starts with 038401. weirdly, before i did the upgrade, it was also 038401. confusing big time!!! which leads me to think the info is stored elsewhere, somewhere, but i can't figure out where. nothing on the internet seems to help with resolving this case. i'm guessing urs is 02 at the end cause u have a Wagon/Estate? mine a sedan/saloon.

Unfortunately no. I haven't been able to figure it out, nor has anyone been able to help. I've learnt to live with the eye twitch every time I look at the Vehicle Info screen.....

With the Virtual Cluster, please pay attention to the anti-theft version. U must check whether if it is 5C anti-theft or 5A anti-theft. In ur case, given it's MY17, u will need version 5A. 5C is the latest anti-theft system. 5A is the old anti-theft system. 2014-2019 uses the 5A anti-theft cockpit. Superbs produced after 2020 can b either 5A anti-theft or 5C anti-theft. Need to check the anti-theft system. If the anti-theft system and the cockpit do not marry up - it will not work. 5A and 5C versions r different anti-theft systems. They cannot be used mutually exchanged. Given urs is MY17, u won't need a new BCM. Just a new 9.2" screen, M.O.S.T splitter cable (if u want maps displayed), firmware upgrade to MIB2.5 and the right virtual cluster. U can't upgrade to MIB3 - it's a different setup altogether.

No it won't rub. Even with wider 245/40r19 tyres, which many of us switch to. Add 10-15mm spacers n it still won't rub. U'll have no issues whatsoever. This was mine before - lowered 25mm, 245/40r19 tyres, 12mm front + 10mm spacers.

On the bottom of the B-pilar there is a button to disable the alarm. Car alarm won't go off when it tilts when being towed or on a ferry.

All good, but I'll pass, thanks. The current 5Q0 is fine. Single adjacent Lane detection is all that is needed. I don't need multiple lane. Longer range I can live without. RCTA it already has this.

U should use the search function of this forum.....would've saved u from creating a whole new discussion!! Whiskers/eye-lashes only work on pre-facelift Superb that have SLA headlights. SLA headlights use version B Bi-Xenon headlights. Version A Bi-Xenon headlights don't have the hardware, hence no amount of coding will make it work. In addition to version B headlights itself, u also need to change the Light Control Modules (LCM), upload the SLA parameter file and do code changes.

If u read the post I linked, it would've answered ur question! The mirror cap is a straight fit. Wiring is not plug'n'play.

@Binx1310 - I got mirror caps from AliExpress that had the blind spot indicator built-in. I then wired it up to work in parallel with the existing mirror blind spot indicator. Perfect. U can read about it here.

Pre-facelift MY15 and MY16 uses module 55 for headlights. Pre-facelift MY17 to MY19 uses module 4B for headlights. Both can do eye-lashes/whiskers provided u have Version B Bi-Xenon headlights, combined with coding and matching SLA parameter file. They both use different SLA parameter files. Mine is MY17 with the 4B module. I retrofitted SLA to my Superb about 7 yrs ago, switching from Version A to Version B headlights.

Front headlight indicators will never sweep (dynamic). Doesn't matter pre-facelift or facelift Superb. It just doesn't have the hardware for it. On the other hand, rear indicators on the taillights of the facelift Superb can do it.

No LSD. Galano has "Boost-by-gear" for FWD - very effective in putting the power down.

Gandalf has gone up a notch today - up to Stage 3. 297 kw 550 Nm at the wheels power. Not bad for a FWD Superb 220. Not flex fuel....yet. More info here.

So Gandalf came back today, transformed into a Stage 3 machine!! A very nice upgrade, which I'm enjoying a lot more than the Stg 2 upgrade. It's still early days, but it just keeps pulling and pulling and pulling. Dyno reveals a nice healthy 297 kw (403 hp) 550 Nm at the wheels power. Mine being a FWD, the Galano boost-by-gear is working overtime, but doing a good job, to put most of that power through the front wheels. The car can break traction in 3rd gear if push really hard!! Upgrade involved:- Garrett Powermaxx GT2260S Stg 1 turbo Galano Port Injectors 1050cc HPFP T-Piece and Bung for split system NGK-R - Spark Plugs - Stage 2/3 Galano Pro ECU Stage 3 with TCU Upgrade Because of the turbo upgrade, they flushed and put in new coolant, as well as the engine oil and filter. Likewise wheel alignment was also done. I'm enjoying the drive a lot more now. Turbo has more drama now with whines and spooling noises. Dyno.... Pic of the Powermaxx turbo n the bits it came with...
