  1. assuming u bought a TPMS that wasn't preloaded with a dataset, how did u upload the dataset yourself? why did u reverse the changes? if anything that would make it worse if the TPMS hardware is still installed/connected. if i were u, i would take it back to the "service man" and tell them to fix the things they have broken. if the TPMS was installed and coded correctly, it shouldn't cause the issues u r seeing.
  2. That's good news, and thanks for ur prompt response @ApertureS If I do go ahead with the VC upgrade, I will also swap out the MIB2 unit for a MIB2.5 unit. That being the case, I believe a MOST Cable and Splitter will b required too. Now I just need to figure out the correct part numbers for the 9.2" screen, the MIB2.5 unit, the VC + surround trim, MOST Cable and Splitter.
  3. @ApertureS, @langers2k - I'm considering my options about doing a VC upgrade on Gandalf (MY17 Superb 220). I currently have a MIB2 Columbus unit, with Canton. However a couple of questions before I contemplate going down this path, hence seeking your advice/thoughts. 1. I recently changed my steering wheel to a flat-bottomed version, 309458999AQF-AA (DSG, non-heated). It doesn't have the VIEW button. Instead of replacing the whole steering wheel to one with, can I replace just the buttons, to the version with the button - specifically 3V0 919 719 F? 2. My current Gateway is:- 3Q0907530AA / 5366 (Software); 3Q0907530C / 515 (Hardware) It was recently upgraded (flashed) when I had the DCC mod done. This meet requirements? 3. My current 5F Infotainment is:- 3V0035045D / 1433 (Software); 3V0035045 / H50 (Hardware) This meet requirements? 4. My current 09 Central Electrics is:- 5Q0937084CG / 0236 (Software); 5Q0937084CG / H34 (Hardware) This meet requirements? Thanks in advance.
  4. The wing mirrors on my MY17 Superb open when the car is unlocked, not on ignition.
  5. @WanderingDutch - there r multiple versions of "Columbus". Wat is critical is the MIB unit. Sounds like u have MIB3 unit, which was introduced with the facelift Superbs. U'll find most the people with issues have the MIB3 (Columbus) unit. U'll also find it's not just Android Auto issues, but broader infotainment issues. The issues r also found in other models such as the Octavia, Kodiaq etc. etc. with the same MIB3 Columbus unit. Those with MIB2 (Columbus) or MIB2.5 (Columbus) do not have issues with Android Auto, usually. If they do, it's cable or phone related. It is also important to realise that only MIB3 units r capable of wireless Android Auto and CarPlay, built-in. The MIB2/2.5 units can only do wired Android Auto and CarPlay. However adding a dongle such as AAWireless, Motorola MA1, OttoCast etc. etc. will allow wireless connectivity. I have been using AAWireless with my MIB2 Columbus unit for many years now with no issues with connectivity or quality.
  6. Provided they've performed the procedure to store/save the memory position.
  7. Yes, wet clutch DSG needs regular servicing - every 60,000kms. dry clutch DSG is sealed, and hence not serviced.
  8. The later Superbs use the Wet DSG-7, which is reliable and different to the troublesome Dry DSG-7, used in lower power engines. Before that, the Wet DSG-6 was used, which is also reliable.
  9. thanks for the write-up and sharing the amazing mission impossible work u've done to ur Superb!!! the Area-360 has my attention, but the complexity of all is not something i'm keen on tackling myself, so i'll just leave that on my "ur dreaming" list. i have however keen on how u go with the additional USB ports retrofit. i've researched on this a few years back, and i think i have a good understanding - i just haven't prioritised this retrofit as its not critical. if u do get around to doing it, i'd like to know the details, so i can then pull my finger out and actually do it. good luck with the rest of the stuff.
  10. @chli @vegarz @ace_finland with the B201A error, u need to generate a code, using an XOR Calculator. This is generated based on your existing adaption value (Step #1), in combination with the decryption key, which in turn generates a new Key (Step #2) for you to enter (Step #3). below is a screenshot from a how-to document i created, which contains the steps to fix the B201A error.
  11. It's a small cut out of the plastic trim - easy to do. There is enough room in the wheel well to fit a 19" wheel.
  12. My Superb came with a 16" spare tyre as standard - 205/55/16. I've since bought a 5th 19" wheel (to match those on the car) and use that as a spare. The boot floor sits up an extra 20-25mm or so, but that was resolved by putting a thick foam around the edges, above the sound deadening material.
  13. I have perfectly smooth parking manoeuvres with Auto-Hold, even on slopes.
  14. It's in the Info section in OBDeleven for the Module 09. U can c mine below. I too have only done the front wiper tear drop as mine didn't come with rear wipers.
  15. Strange why u don't have that. U must have a different BCM version. I was able to successfully activate the tear drop wipe, using the same instructions that @Bap33 provided above. This is how mine looks.....
  16. Is ur "Auto-Hold" active? It might b set to b too Early. Don't confuse that with the EPB. Also, u don't need to activate/deactivate the EPB each time - it does it automatically.
  17. My wipers park at a different position each time. Sometimes high, sometimes low. Don't go messing with the spline. This is from the user manual:- "Each time the ignition switches off for the third time, the position of the windscreen wipers changes. This counteracts an early fatigue of the wiper blades."
  18. No flickering at all. The good quality canbus error free ones won't give u any problems.
  19. Sounds like urs is not setup up right. The Bi-xenons on the mk3 Superb r great, if aligned/setup correctly. The SLA is great too. Here is mine in action. All I've changed is the D3S globes to Phillips XtremeVision Gen2. And another......
  20. olly smokes that is HIGH!! normally mine (MY17 DGG-6 220 TSi) would sit around 95-102 degrees. if i do hard spirited driving, the oil temps go up to 110-ish. when was the last time u had the oil changed? is the oil pressure/levels ok?
  21. Sportline is just a trim. in some markets the Sportline comes with the Image Pack, which includes Sports Springs, which is 10-15mm lower than standard. in some markets Sportline trim is available on any variant, whilst in other markets, like here in Australia, it is only available on the 280 (206TSi) variant. a Superb with DCC is lower (by 10mm) than a Sportline or non-Sportline with Standard springs.
