Offsetting BRISKODA's environmental impact, or planting trees for posts
That's a lot of 4's I wish I had the forethought of mind to see these events coming. And the planning, 44.4 since start! And soooooooooo dam close on the temprature too. 15.5 has a synergy to 44.4. That is some planning @FUBAR Kind of feels a shame to add more... See you in 10k? at 15:55

Send their support an email. To be honest it takes a few goes to get the right response, they really need to improve that support service. Pardon the pun, I think they have had a lot of growth. I've hit a few problems, maybe 3 or 4 and eventually got it sorted. But I've given them way more latitude than many sites that I'm essentially paying for product on.

Offsetting BRISKODA's environmental impact, or planting trees for posts
Late to the party again.... missed earth day too :( Hint set reminders on calendar, add alert. So March... 300 trees, here are your trees -> https://ecologi.com/briskoda?treeId=607aa701fdf35d5e57ae5c82 Due to a bug in the ecologi site I can't do the UK tree draw/assignment. However we did get 10 trees as part of a bug bounty This means that next month, someone will 'win' a UK tree. By win I mean, it will be yours in a virtual sense. So each month I'll add one of these UK trees, £3.55 at the time of writing to our monthly pot. Each month I'll randomly mention a freedom member whose tree this is very loosely assigned to. I cant' actually alter the tree on the ecologi site; a feature request logged, so it will just have to be a here and now mention. Although if I was smart, I'd make it a table in the first post More on that next month. Now I did miss earth day... I had grand plans! For his month, so what's left of April, any purchase of a clump of trees: I'll match from our advertising/sponsors pot(not freedom). So your 25 becomes our 50, and I'll tag them as yours I know the pubs have opened; saw my first queue of 2021. Anyhow, a clump of trees is less than a pint, and you don't have to queue up for it Thank you for your support.

Skoda Enyaq
I’m near enough sold. The range lets me get to a few places and once there allows me to go out for a day. eg fort William to the tip of ardnamurchan and back. Or a sprint up to glen brittle in Skye if the sky is clear. my next dilemma is the smart way to pay for one. lease as this tech is shifting quickly. the old buy outright and keep for ten years, battery risk? Off course if one had a limited company and a car requirement, there are some amazing tax benefits. Sadly these don’t trickle down to you and I as a retail customer. Thoughts?

2021 Donington Historic Festival 01-02/05/2021
With regret, this has had to be cancelled. this is the official note from the organiser. please read it and contact them regarding refunds for your ticket. sad face... next year we’ll be back, same offer stands —start Dear Car Club Organisers I am immensely disappointed and very sorry to have to let you know that new guidance was issued by government yesterday- Tuesday 6 April - which contradicts the previous position that spectators would be permitted at non-elite sport events from Step Two of the roadmap (12 April onwards). As a result of yesterday's announcement, the 2021 Donington Historic Festival can now only be run behind closed doors, with only essential personnel attending. Whilst outdoor attractions like zoos and theme parks can reopen, and events such as boot fairs, steam rallies and food festivals can take place with up to 4,000 visitors per day, a specific ban has now been applied to spectators at sport events until 17 May. This means that all events due to take place between 12 April and 17 May will have to be run behind closed doors. I know exactly how hard some of you have worked to promote the event to your members, and how disappointed you will all be that DHF is not permitted to welcome spectators this year. Those of you and your members who have already booked will, along with all other affected customers, be contacted by email by Donington Park's operators, MSV, with options on how to manage your booking - including obtaining refunds. Please note, while I'm always happy to help where I can, I don't handle ticketing at all, and it's not handled from the DHF office, so ticketholders should wait to hear from MSV. You can read more about this here: http://news.msv.com/statement-5-march.aspx Once again, I am so very sorry and disappointed to have to give you this news. I can only hope that we can see each other again next year. With best wishes Karen —end

Help, water ingress, is it time to say goodbye :-(
For general, I have a 1litre bag of absorbing pellets. Keep it on the parcel shelf or the boot. won’t help with lots of ingress, but does help with the odd bit of condensation. certainly noticed it when I’d find all the windows down a crack... sitting on the key fob really is a pain. Or after a damp weekends camping... just pulls the last bit out... or not, it could be a con.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Similar when a neighbours car was hit. Van company driver claimed he didn’t know he’d done it. Which is odd as I was watching him, when he pulled up, got out, looked at the damage, went back to van, left a note(illegible) then drove off. Good deed indeed but super nervous going on record, giving a statement a few months after an incident... fortunately not the first time so I made little story event cards for it on the day, just in case. anyhow the superb is a little battered, but drives me and from about 20’ looks fine. It’s only plastic and I can still sleep at night. I might go and remove some flappy bits of trim today, not like they are being glued back in place

Is the charging time, difference acceptable? I think of the Tesla’s usp as the fast charging. I think of everyone else on a slower charge. I know the slower charge, isn’t the slowest charge. One other question, is the motorway service charging an inflated cost, like regular fuel?

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Drive to a local crag. Had an hour of really chilled out bouldering. returned to car, only to pick up bits of plastic from her rear. quite how someone can do that, not be aware that crunching sound is their car too and then leave... it was a merc. annoyingly the dashcam is still in its box. not a great second drive of the year :( to top it all, that’s the bit I clay’d and waxed with the last of my swissol wax...

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Drove it outside of my postcode. Drove it back into my postcode a few hours later. Quite enough driving for this quarter.

Skoda yeti alarm system.
oooh I thought about a yeti as a micro camper, can't help with the alarm, but good luck with it Can you simulate the 'night' while doing some work near the car? ie so you can leave the tailgate open and keep sticking your hand in every now and again?

You can’t see it, but the ice cracks sort of reflect the hill side I found this on. a good few weeks back now mind you.

Goodbye
I hope so. the net is quite wide. need to solve the river paradox and find why we keep having bodies thrown in to the melee. human nature, I feel that’s a meaty challenge, perhaps beyond my scope to solve.

Goodbye
I held a belief people could learn, adapt and you know be better. got a full day of work today, will respond in full this evening. @moley take care and stay safe. if it helps I’ve been having similar thoughts. Just trying to reconcile freedoms with hope. clear a few and it is a few are going to force me to do what I didn’t want to.

Goodbye Mazda Hello Skoda
@gaz had to read that a couple of times, thought you may of been talking about SWMBO Polo GTi, wonder how many of those are bumbling around, never going above 40Mph for their 1st owner life times. From the few I've seen round here... @Daveb691 solid things mazda's for sure. Like Audi used to be I don't think any modern car can be that bad. So long as it stops and I can see where I'm going on a lane at night, I'm generally forgiving other woes. Because I know they will be present on almost any other marque nowadays. Some you'd pay more for, some you'd pay less for... I thin skoda, still sits in a sweet spot; just about. Welcome to the community and Skoda

Hello!
Welcome, handy to have a project after work. Odd how we do that, I work in computers and despite being sick to the teeth of them, I find myself tinkering all hours. MK1 Clio... I almost had a Clio, can't recall, would've been a peppy one; peppy for it's day. I think I ended up in a primera GT, or maybe it was before that... ack, don't get old Welcome to the community and skoda.

Hello! 1st time Skoda octavia owner
As my dad said when he got his new car; not a skoda, the user manual is the largest book I'll of read for a while. I think his clocked in around 1k pages. It has features I know he'll never use! I know I don't use some of the features on mine. Welcome to the community and skoda

Offsetting BRISKODA's environmental impact, or planting trees for posts
Bit of a quieter month this one, but still going strong. 2tonnes co2, and 160 trees. Here are your trees -> https://ecologi.com/briskoda?treeId=6042020d0be9e4001d36fb76 Hopefully from next month, we'll be adding a UK tree. In a scottish forrest. I'm trying to come up with a way of putting that tree in someone's name. We'd get a geotag and photo, and in theory you can even go and visit it, so the blurb says I'm thinking like a monthly prize Someone from freedom will be that tree's "virtual owner". This is rough and I'm still working it out, but one can hope

It's a Skoda.Honest
@Czechmate2 welcome to the community. Please bear in mind, someone new joins, begins a topic that looks like a sale-y thread. We do get commercial and not so commercial folk joining to punt things, sometimes legitimate, sometimes not. We keep an eye out for the good of everyone, including yourself This being your only topic and no other public info, it's hard to immediately call If your username was SkoadaStickers you'lld of had a different reaction and likewise if you were 10k posts in, possibly different again I don't have a problem promoting and supporting efforts. So as above, generate the interest and then see what comes of it Say hi here: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/20-hellos-and-goodbyes/

I wasn’t aware we were in a competition sharing is the winner. back to the ev enyaq... it is jolly interesting seeing this topic develop. So much thought and analysis. I still fondly remember walking into car lots and just buying a car. the whole options and differing prices for options... every manufacturer should offer excel (other spreadsheets are available) training.

Not sure if the uk market will see this: ŠKODA is giving its customers a sporting chance this year with the addition of a SportLine trim to its new all-electric SUV range, the Enyaq SportLine iV. Black exterior detailing, large alloy wheels and a lowered sports chassis provide a sporting edge to the line-up. it might close the gap

Offsetting BRISKODA's environmental impact, or planting trees for posts
So it's tree's time... Did a quick check and I'd missed a few from a custom trees purchase in the shop. So those 100 have been added to this months, thank you @MikeTheThinker We also had a new sponsor join us this month, @EBCBrakesUK so that bumps the tree count up too This month we'll be doing our baseline 2tonnes CO2 So this months tally is a pretty good 325 trees. Thank you to all those who have joined and supported the community this month, these are your trees >> https://ecologi.com/briskoda?tree=60218576ddce91001d9c9bed.
