  1. I also have one, it's great but it's a rip off full price. I managed to find a used one in mint condition on eBay for £30. I use mine to store the small stuff, so disposable gloves, bungees etc - it's very useful for that. Also fits a litre of oil. You can change the position of the dividers to fit large or small stuff.
  2. Congrats I bought mine on Skoda (VWFS) finance - in with the paperwork you'll get the details if you want to pay off within cooling off period (I paid mine off next day). You'll also get to keep any incentives that may have been offered.
  3. Ask for another. Tell them what you want to see. You should be able to get a decent video, if not walk away
  4. How about asking for a video walk around with close ups of wheels, interior etc?
  5. I'd hang on and change all 4. You'll be getting way more grip from the front which isn't what you want this time of year unless taking it easy everywhere, not to say the rear is going to let go but it does catch the odd person out. You can run mp4s' all year round and they'll perform great (not to be confused with MP4). I run them on my E46 M3 and my mate on his Porsche and lotus. We use them day to day and for light track use, can't beat them
  6. What's it got in the rear? The MP4S is a fantastic high performance tyre, but I'd only fit them all around due to the different in tyre characteristics. They will generate a lot more grip and have higher cornering abilities than most other tyres
  7. Hi, did you get a reply to this? There is absolutely no way to know if it is safe unless you have it inspected. It's a gamble - it should be ok but no one will say for certain
  8. You'll be fine mate, sounds like it is better condition than most when they go back
  9. Also make sure you've got the spare keys! Service history will probably be ok, they will look on the car to see when it is due, paperwork not necessary. They don't always check everything when they collect the car as the detailed inspection is done back at the logistics centre. It'll be driven/trailored straight there for processing, they'll create an inspection report for the auction house and decide what refurb work is required and who is paying for it (leasing company or driver). There also has to be enough fuel in the car to get it back, if the fuel light is on you risk being charged a silly amount per litre/mile
  10. I have a 2017 VRS hatchback with panoramic roof drainage down the nearside A pillar behind trim. Confused!
  11. Yes, 2 separate looms so you will be fine. You'll have a new loom for the camera and will use existing one for boot release
  12. I'd say it's not clear cut on used car prices, there is a shortage of used stock as people are hanging on to cars, that said, a Skoda is never going to hold its value unless you have something really in demand. Anyway, I had a Karoq sportline on PCH, similar story to OP. VWFS not playing ball as lots of people are trying to return cars, so I got a dealer to buy me out of it without any penalty to me (for the above reason, very little nearly new used stock around). Bought a nice used Octavia VRS from them which I'll hang on to for a few years. I always thought PCH was the best kept secret, until now! That said I'd be really gutted if I had a PCP.
  13. Hi, it's my guide that is linked in this thread. I can't comment specifically if the parts mentioned will work, however it works on all facelift Octavia vrs' up to a 20 plate. If it works it is plug and play, no coding, no calibration required. Good luck with whichever solution you go with (the washer jet is a waste of time btw IMHO - had one on my Karoq, didn't really keep it clean)
  14. Sorry, I have no knowledge of this, only the car and equipment used above. Maybe others can help?
  15. Don't be put off by lease cars, they are generally one driver company cars and if it had a fleet maintenance package it will have had everything it needed - as the driver isn't paying for the maintenance it normally goes to the main dealer for every last little thing to be sorted.
  16. Facelift cars take camera A, if it's the harness shown in my pics (piggy back) it'll be fine. You should also get the stereo removal tools to release the media unit inside the glovebox
  17. Oh, and you're more than capable of doing it. It's the thought of it that puts most people off - once you get stuck in it's quite straight forward, just take your time
  18. Get it from China, it'll be fine - It will take 7-14 days. I'm unsure why they have different warehouses for certain things as you're essentially ordering Chinese made goods, direct from China which is why everything is so cheap.
  19. I would concentrate on the must haves and go from there. I bought my 67 plate VRS TDI 2 months ago. My min spec were meteor grey, manual, black pack plus, pan roof & spare wheel. At the time I could find one or two of those things and then mine came up (2 hrs away). Originally I wanted an estate but I went to see the car and it looked great in the flesh. I bought it from skoda and they retrofitted the spare wheel. The car came with 2 years warranty and 2 years servicing. Don't get too hung up on ticking evey spec box, just find a good car that has your min spec - anything else is a bonus. Also, I do less than 10k pa and have never had an issue with diesels. I buy them for practicality and mid-range torque. I personally find them quicker day to day than petrol cars and I quite like hitting 50mpg just going to the shops.
  20. Just to add, AC isn't all about cooling the air, it's conditioning the air & this includes removing excess moisture Affects on mpg are minor, especially compared to driving with the window open.
  21. I know OEM is not a brand - that's what they they'll give you if you go to a dealership for them. They could be one of a number of brands made to their spec (& possibly rebranded). Ones things for certain - they won't be as good as Bosch and they'll be considerably more expensive
  22. Easy option is to head to Halfords and pick up the Bosch wipers, or save a few quid and buy Bosch online. Either way they'll be half price, better quality and you just push the button in on the wiper arm to slide off as fit the new ones. OEM wipers are rubbish; changed the ones on my brand new Karoq after 6 months as they smeared! The rear wiper on my brand new Tiguan squeaked and hesitated. Another example of cost cutting. DON'T FIT OEM!
  23. Also buy on condition, not age/mileage etc. I could have bought mine from the dealer down the road but the perfect one was a 4 hour trip away - the drive home was great!
  24. Hi mate, best thing to do is measure your current handle to determine which size and style you need
