Changing the track control rod (inner tie rod)
Use a big fat black cable tie, it's perfectly legit and a damned sight easier to install.

Injector recoding caused diesel knock
You won't get them to admit fault, just ask them to put it back the way it was using the original injector adaptation values.

195x55R15 vs. 195x50R15
The numbers are right, the point is not the actual sizes, it's the mixing of them that causes the confusion, because the ECU is measuring all four wheel speeds many times per second, if it sees the rears going slower during braking it assumes the rears are locking up and pulses the brakes.

195x55R15 vs. 195x50R15
The ABS would trigger randomly when braking, the ECU thought the back wheels were locking up because they were rotating slower. Yes it was a Mark 1 with Bosch ABS, the same system as other Polo 9N platform cars. It was incredibly annoying because it increased stopping distances needlessly. It stopped when I got rid of the 185/65/14 for 185/60/14 all round.

195x55R15 vs. 195x50R15
...and I've had ABS issues with 185/60/14 on the fronts and 185/65/14 on the rears. I'm erring on the side of caution with my advice based upon this experience.

195x55R15 vs. 195x50R15
It cares not a jot about the change in width by a few millimetres but a change of 5% on profile is a vastly different matter as @Carlston has clearly quantified above.

195x55R15 vs. 195x50R15
No it won't work. In your position I'd change all four tyres for the cheaper size because you can often get a discount for supply and fit on four and you can sell the two part worn tyres on ebay for a fair price to help defray the additional costs.

Advice needed on sealing plastic scuttle panel to the bottom of the windscreen
Carpet tape is insanely sticky both sides and cloth reinforced.

195x55R15 vs. 195x50R15
Unfortunately the cars ABS system won't like the front and back wheels rolling at different speeds so you'll need to keep all the tyres on the car the same size.

Run the ABS pump in Fabia vRS
OCD madness, there'll be about a teaspoonful left in the ABS valve block dead ends, irrelevant. Just like the loonies chasing a few ml of old oil when they're changing 5L of the stuff, save the OCD guff for the therapist.

Injector recoding caused diesel knock
Good, the job obviously wasn't done right...

No lights on dash - intermittent
Yes, probably. No harm in topping up the charge as well.

Yes.

problem at low revs 1100-1200, 1.9 SDI ASY
It has an ECU, it must have a MAP or a MAF, I know it has no turbo but that doesn't mean anything for the electronics.

problem at low revs 1100-1200, 1.9 SDI ASY
Which air temperature sensor, MAF or MAP?
-
problem at low revs 1100-1200, 1.9 SDI ASY
Try disconnecting the fuel temperature sensor, if it's reading high then the engine will be running too lean when cold.

Oil transmission fabia vrs 1.9 130hp 2006
There's a level plug you remove, once oil stops running out of it, it's correct. However, having a few ml more than 2.3L will make no difference whatsoever since the gearbox works on splash lubrication.

Oil transmission fabia vrs 1.9 130hp 2006
I vaguely remember from years gone by that people used to have this problem with the VRS gearbox when they needlessly and pointlessly changed the oil to aftermarket 75/90, did you use genuine VW oil, I seem to recall that the consensus was that Fuchs synthetic 75/90 was the only alternative that worked like the OEM oil. Who is "they" please?

Oil transmission fabia vrs 1.9 130hp 2006
...or underfilled it perhaps? What prompted you to change the oil, was there an issue you hoped would be fixed by doing it?

Injector recoding caused diesel knock
For this particular application, Rattlesnake oil...

Injector recoding caused diesel knock
Snake oil is NEVER the correct answer.

Outer CV joint? (6Q0 498 099 DX)
The Fabia is mechanically the same car as a Polo in the drivetrain. ECP website is not terribly clever and neither are their cheap parts. Stick with a known OEM brand rather than imaginatively named Chinese crap.

Door lock barrels.
I think it's fair and reasonable to have a little laugh, you were warned they were different part numbers because they had opposite chirality, you ignored the good advice and did the stupid thing anyway. Stop complaining and don't be priggish, I've helped you dozens of times in the past.

Door lock barrels.
Why so serious?
