Skoda Felicia 1.3MPi Immobiliser fault?
Hi apd007 I just to say keep with it mate you will regret it if you get rid of her, I have a 1998 1.3 Felly from new and there is no way I would swop it for a new car we have had our ups and downs but its still on the road after some 25 years. I wont add to what has been said you have the best man on the job Ricardo (he knows it all big head) joking apart he's good. I will put in my bit the sun roof mine started to leak so now I clean it out and put some silicone grease only silicone in there it will help to keep the rubber good mine dos not leak now and man do we have some rain, regarding the screen leak you could claim on your insurance for a new screen maybe I did some 5 years ago but it has just started to leak a little now so I use my old favorite https://captaintolley.com/ it may or may not work. one day and I mean one day people will wake up and say hey these old Skoda Felicia's are one great car you know.

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
Mannol 15/40, over the 25 years many of the leading makers of oil with no problems I just drive it and in that time have only called the AA out 3 times once a lead came of the starter motor I could see the lead but could not see the were it went it took the AA man a few seconds ands I was off again. Still love my Felly after all this time (from new) I have to smile at the costs of new cars and EVs like they say they dont make em like they used to. I must just say I have a bad hearing problem so my Felly always sounds so quiet one of the benifits of being deaf and not hearing the wife. 😀 But then I am a very old man what do I know.

Felicia battery change
mikefelicia replied to mikefelicia's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI am hopping when he connects the diagnostic it will come up with the answer, I am not good with with the fault finder I just leave it to the expert he is a very good mechanic I have used for years and now I do not want to be messing about with a old car ok with the changing of oil, plugs, and air filter but even taking a wheel off to attend the brakes is a major job for me now. One changes as you get older all my life from the age of 16 I have had a motorcycle some 64 years. I still have a old Triumph in the garage I have had for 49 years and for the first time in my life I have not ridden it for 2 years and it is braking me never ever thought that would happen to me my life has revolved around motorcycles after having so many and restoring so many. I could write a book about my life working and riding motorcycles. Take care will let you all know the outcome my Felly is here to stay.

Felicia battery change
I have a 1.3 Felicia MPI can any one tell me if the battery is disconnected like when it is changed do's it have any affect on the ECU and the running of the car, will it need to be reset or any thing ? I have had the car from new 25 years and I never in the past had any problems with disconnecting the battery, it seems now the slow running is not steady the car starts on first turn of the key it's just the tick over.

How much time do you warm-up your Felicia?
mikefelicia replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman1998 Felicia 1.3 MPI, 104 thousand miles and 25 years old purchased from new and never ever warmed up the engine from cold start just started and drive off used 10/40 good quality oil and no problems. Just passed its 25th MOT and passed the only problem is it could out live me. Fantastic car, in quality and running would not swop it for any new modern car of the same capacity.

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
4 people in what is a tin can (all cars are the same) with just 4 small patch's of rubber in contact with the ground and traveling at high speed, I do think in the future we will be shocked at how we traveled and put our lives at risk it only take a split second and 4 are gone. The human body is so easy to damage. Why have I posted this reply well I have lived a very long time and seen how humans value lives and others.

Cooling system problem (AGAIN) in my Felicia
mikefelicia replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanBeware some of these hoses that are made in China are rubbish I had a bottom hose replaced by a garage and it was made in China and did not last long.

Skoda Felicia Gearbox oil change interval Years/km
mikefelicia replied to Mustafa_Samir's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanOne needs to know there should be no contamination of the oil in a sealed gear box unlike engine oil, and modern oils are so much better than oils of yesterdays.

New brake discs-pads for Felicia, any suggestions?
mikefelicia replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanWhy not stick with the STD disc's and pads my Fellys brakes are ok unless you have a fast Felicia or you are a fast driver if you are a fast driver then you need a modern faster car and not a old Skoda Felicia and God go with you.

Hi I use the Mannol Defender 10/40 oil in my 1998 Felicia 1.3 and notice that Mannol now sell the Classic so I emailed them and here is what they said Our Mannol 7507 Defender (10w40) has been discontinued and now replaced by the 7501 Classic (10w40). Maybe of use to some of you.

Denso IK16 Iridium (which never worked for me)
mikefelicia replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanAlways tried to use Skoda original plugs in my old girl the ones in now were purchased off Ebay 7 for £10.00 inc p/p ok 7 but I may find the odd one to make up a change when I get round to changing them. Never ever had any problems with S/Plugs. Old plugs for a old car if its got Skoda on it then its ok by me.
