Would the speedo head unit from the golf fit in the octavia, as the dash boards in both cars a very similar as the clocks seem to be the same overall shape. I know it's a bit of subject sorry lol.

you will be able to fit them, but thats the easy bit, you will need to fit the washers to the front bumper and all its gubbings the the device for the self leveling for them aswell. it may work out thats its not wort it. and i think you have to hook it up to a code reader to tell the car there fitted.

Thats my 08 vrs disel done 28000 mls and going to need tyres very soon. the car is fitted with michelins though i cant complain about grip, the tyre noise is bad, but then they have lasted a long time. i was thinking of getting fulda Carat Exelero tyres. does any peeps have them fitted or know about them. any tyre that i go for must have a proper rim protector on it like the michelin.

as mentioned above a water filter is the best way to stop water marks on ur car. all the hi end car valeters use them.

what about the petrol cap area, cable for the lock moving about. just a thought.

That seems to be the noise that im getting from my car to, it is also getting on my nerves. i can also hear it if i give the car quick blips on the throttle when still, so i going to get a friend to help me track it down.

looking for a wee bit help here, my car has started making two strange noises that i cant get to the bottom of. the first one is a droan in first and second gear when i let off the throttle at low speeds (thats when i hear it ) its like a exaust leek but cant find one. not sure if its the back box internals going. the second is a ticking noise that starts as soon as i start to move off, it seems like it coming from the left hand side front foot well.

I used to work in the motor factors for 9 years, the only advice i would give is stay well clear of the cheap brands as they never last as long as the branded stuff. im not saying the branded stuff dont go wrong but less chance of doing so. I liked mintex pads and lucas discs but thats just my opinion.

B/silver is a easy colour to spray match as it only has two colours in the mix and is not a old colour yet.
