@J.R. are you confusing @wyx087 with @lol-lol? Wyx doesn't drive a Zoe. His listed cars are a Tesla and a Nissan Leaf.

Tipping point?
Surely it's not beyond the wit of man to develop a cable that's registered to the car is it? Even my Pixel phone charger knows that my Pixel phone is connected and not another brand so it'll only rapid charge my phone. My phone won't rapid charge using a non Pixel charger. Some more on the unlikely theft of cables: https://www.smarthomecharge.co.uk/features/electric-vehicle-charging-cable-theft/

Several reports say Exxon knew about and predicted climate change in the 1970s but buried the findings. https://www.euronews.com/green/2023/01/13/exxon-accurately-predicted-climate-change-in-the-70s-which-other-fossil-fuel-giants-knew-t https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/exxon-knew-about-climate-change-almost-40-years-ago/ https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/jan/12/exxon-climate-change-global-warming-research

I see no reason it shouldn't but your question would be better asked in the Classics forum. I'll see if this can get moved by a moderator to the appropriate section. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/90-skoda-favorit-skoda-felicia-skoda-fun-and-skoda-forman/

Some astrophotography shots
Mac, did you and Spud pursue this any further? I only ask as I'm currently looking into astrophotography a little bit. I'm currently looking at e couple of entry level Newtonian 'scopes but would appreciate some pointers if you did. I'd ask the OP but it appears he's no longer with us. If anyone else reads this input also appreciated or if they don't I'll start a new topic.

Webasto wonβt heat
Had a Webasto in my work van a few years ago. They won't heat if the air temperature is above a certain point. (I forget what temperature exactly but it was quite low)

Are garages insured to drive taxis ?
Except the ones you mentioned a few days ago. Take the plate, signage off etc and it's no longer a vehicle and owner plying for trade or soliciting is it. Can PH vehicle owners not remove signage from cars they own to go on family holidays in cars they own? Has nobody yet called a LA to ask?

Are garages insured to drive taxis ?
There is/ was a specific section on here for owners of PH vehicles and Taxis known as 'The Taxi Rank'. There still is but it's not very lively https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/326-the-taxi-rank/

Are garages insured to drive taxis ?
I don't know what "These exemptions do not apply to private hire vehicles" means specifically Perhaps the private hire people would take their cars to a main dealer to preserve the FSH of their car and perhaps they could also take it to a VAT registered indy and the mechs/ techs at those places can road test the private hire vehicles?

Are garages insured to drive taxis ?
Phone the local councils MoT test centre if it's not been closed due to (insert reason here) and ask them. Taxis and private hire vehicles are licensed by the local council so surely they would know. Or ask a taxi/ private hire vehicle owner/ operator.

Panorama
@Jim H don't know if it helps but yesterday I registered my new Canon camera. Once that was done I could download their software and I noticed it comes with the functions you're after. Maybe register your cam with the manufacturer and see what software they offer you?

My God, it's full of stars... Having a quick play around with the ISO, f/ and shutter speed. Soooo convenient to be able to adjust them all from the comfort of the sofa using the app

So, this arrived today. It could be a while before I take any pics mind. The manual's like War and Peace. Bluetooth and WiFi successfully paired after not RTFM and blundering away on my own. My pic of the day π span widget

Thanks, Mac Yeah I was just having a play to see what I could capture. Pleased with it as a first ever attempt! I'm seriously considering a a proper DSLR now so as my budget doesn't run into the 000s I'm currently looking at a Canon EOS 250D. I tried a couple more last night with just an 8 second shutter speed. It's not a shooting star - just a plane I never initially spotted I think I need to experiment a bit more on the shutter speed to find a compromise between how much light I capture and how much the earth's rotation effects it with getting 'trails'.

Thanks. I've known where that is, how to find Polaris (between that and Cassiopeia) and other constellations are for a long time. Since I was a sea cadet I think. I'd just never bothered to look at them this way before. I think I need a better camera though maybe if I were to take it up as a hobby. Even 20mp looks like it has too much noise but maybe that's the camera. It's a bridge cam as well with few manual settings for ISO and shutter speed.

OK don't mock. This is my very first ever attempt at astrophotography. Sony DSC H300 bridge camera I've had for quite some time. ISO 800 shutter speed was 30". There's more stars than I can see. Way more.

Headlight replacement?
He's asked in the MkI Fabia section, Ken. Unless it's a Xenon unit, they're all the same AFAIK.
