When I was still in Southampton I went for lunch at a BT exchange in the area I was working in - Woolston exchange IIRC and there were four or five cars almost one after the other clamped by DVLA with untaxed vehicle stickers on the windscreen. IIRC cutting one off or using one without a license to do so is an offence.

That's an Augusta Westland 169 like the one in the vid below. Under two minutes for pre flight checks and take off. I wouldn't be too concerned about the pilots age. A case of 'don't the coppers look young these days'

Haha no idea. I once had a Citröen Xsara Picasso as a rental. The gearstick was on the dash IIRC. There must have been so many linkages between that and the box and it was like stirring soup in a bucket hoping you didn't drop from 4th to 2nd and ending up face planting the steering wheel 😂 TBH I love the madness of some of Citröen and Renault designs. Even ahead of their time in some cases like with the first mass market people carrier the Renault Espace and Citröen CX. From the 60s the DS is gorgeous and the noughties Avantime was nuts and should have sold more IMO.

Oh I was driving a C3 as well then was I? I didn't even bother looking at what model it was after being led to it. I didn't know whether to cry or burst into laughter when I saw the chevrons on the bonnet badge. 'Polo or similar' my arse Mine didn't have roof rails but it had some cushioning on the sides like a Cactus.

I'll come back to this in the morning as there's so much to unpack and pick apart. TL;DR, utter crap.

Now that's interesting, Pete. The lower vehicle in the graphic is a saloon version. I was certain they were never fitted to any saloons or hatchback models. I've never seen any roof rails on a saloon ever. I mean there weren't many sold in the UK but still... Maybe that explains the part number difference?
