  1. That was @ivorblueone Skomaz
  2. The OP doesn't have a saloon or hatchback. Read the thread. I was offering options.
  3. Share your wisdom? Impart knowledge 🤷
  4. TBF it seems the previous posts to yours were more about Geopolitics which seems related to the economics side of things.
  5. There are no roof rails (front to back) for a hatch or saloon. They were only available for the estate version for the extended roof length. Looks like your option is limited to roof bars (side to side). I don't know if roof rails from a MK2 would fit or even possibly those from a Seat Ibiza or 9N/ 9N3 Polo. Might be worth looking into if you're good with fab work.
  6. Possibly water ingress and corrosion between the antenna and the inside connection under the roof headlining.
  7. If there are any there probably won't be any need to precisely measure and drill into the roof which seems like a rather large undertaking what with having to guard against rust etc. At least not if the estate version is like the saloon/ hatch. The mounting points on those models are under rectangular plastic caps. If the OP can check his car then there would, I assume be three each side front to back. On the MkI Saloon and hatch versions there is a black plastic strip running front to back. The covers are on that with a small notch to remove them. Just to the right of the door in this image. Approximate location can be seen in other image of a hatchback
  8. Roof rails were an option on later models IIRC. They're fixed in three points to the roof so adding roof rails isn't an option to you. Your best option would be roof bars between the front doors and the rear doors.
  9. Jeff certainly has a few opinions if you look at his YouTube channel. Some of it borderline conspiracy nonsense IMO. https://www.youtube.com/@JeffTaylor/videos Also, why's he wearing a massive paperclip on his lapel?
  10. OT slightly but I did read this last week ... https://www.glasgowworld.com/lifestyle/food-and-drink/american-wine-expert-reviews-buckfast-send-an-exorcist-4204275
  11. Just to rule it out - you are pulling the adjustment handle upwards aren't you?
  12. Not my words. I did say "this could be interesting if they can scale it up'. No gullibility at all. I'm sceptical but I'd rather be optimistic 😉
  13. Gotta love the optimism on here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syngas https://www.biogreen-energy.com/syngas#:~:text=What is syngas%3F,other hydrocarbons and condensable compounds.
  14. This could prove interesting if they can scale it up. Energy from thin air. https://www.independent.co.uk/tech/clean-energy-carbon-dioxide-solar-b2360280.html
  15. @J.R. are you confusing @wyx087 with @lol-lol? Wyx doesn't drive a Zoe. His listed cars are a Tesla and a Nissan Leaf.

Welcome. The Superb Estate is a lot of car with a fantastic reputation. The Estate with easily take your tent and a whole lot more. 👍
  17. Surely it's not beyond the wit of man to develop a cable that's registered to the car is it? Even my Pixel phone charger knows that my Pixel phone is connected and not another brand so it'll only rapid charge my phone. My phone won't rapid charge using a non Pixel charger. Some more on the unlikely theft of cables: https://www.smarthomecharge.co.uk/features/electric-vehicle-charging-cable-theft/
  18. Several reports say Exxon knew about and predicted climate change in the 1970s but buried the findings. https://www.euronews.com/green/2023/01/13/exxon-accurately-predicted-climate-change-in-the-70s-which-other-fossil-fuel-giants-knew-t https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/exxon-knew-about-climate-change-almost-40-years-ago/ https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/jan/12/exxon-climate-change-global-warming-research
  19. I see no reason it shouldn't but your question would be better asked in the Classics forum. I'll see if this can get moved by a moderator to the appropriate section. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/90-skoda-favorit-skoda-felicia-skoda-fun-and-skoda-forman/
  20. Mac, did you and Spud pursue this any further? I only ask as I'm currently looking into astrophotography a little bit. I'm currently looking at e couple of entry level Newtonian 'scopes but would appreciate some pointers if you did. I'd ask the OP but it appears he's no longer with us. If anyone else reads this input also appreciated or if they don't I'll start a new topic.
  21. Had a Webasto in my work van a few years ago. They won't heat if the air temperature is above a certain point. (I forget what temperature exactly but it was quite low)
  22. Except the ones you mentioned a few days ago. Take the plate, signage off etc and it's no longer a vehicle and owner plying for trade or soliciting is it. Can PH vehicle owners not remove signage from cars they own to go on family holidays in cars they own? Has nobody yet called a LA to ask?
  23. There is/ was a specific section on here for owners of PH vehicles and Taxis known as 'The Taxi Rank'. There still is but it's not very lively https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/326-the-taxi-rank/
