  1. Hi The Superb/Passat/Arteon 280 share the same LPFP as the RS3 so it simple to plug it and it works. I bought the same kit from SC Skunkwerks, recieved a great service. What power are you aiming for? The stock LPFP is good enough for over 500bhp unfortunately we never tested it to the limit however the tuner said there was capacity to push it further.
  2. Yes in colder morning i experienced that as well with my old top mounts but not with the new Arteon's one. to me it always sounds like its coming from the top.
  3. They are firmer than the standards so stops the exhaust from swaying and causing a clunking noise
  4. Just a thought but could it be a wheel bearing or the exhaust hanger bushes? I had my rear exhaust hanger bushes changed to the MK7.5 Golf R ones (grey/black) as i was getting knocking from the rear.
  5. so i've had the B16's installed for about 3 years i think and at that time i had installed top mounts from a Golf R and start off the bat they were creaking, however i think there were 2 things, first was the spring wasnt seat position wasn't correct, I've been told you just need to rotate it round and Im not sure if its marked on the spring or the perch so will investigate when i get done, second the top mounts creaked when doing a full lock or when driving over speed bumps. Now with the Arteon top mounts, i've notice the steering feels slightly lighter and the full locking creaking is minimum maybe its masked by the the spring creak. I think yours if mostly the top mount if it only happens over speed bumps, my passenger side spring is creaking most of the time!
  6. I just had the Arteon Top mounts installed on my B16 DCC Coilovers and its made a improvement on the Superb Top mounts i had on before. I've still got the creaking however I think I have narrowed it down to the springs rotating on the passenger side, thanks to Donny for suggesting that, it seems that the spring isn't seated in the correct position so will need to rotate it until i get it to the correct position, this may involved jacking it up and rotating it a few times.
  7. Check how your engine is idling aswell, if its not idling smoothly/a bit off then it could the cam magnet which needs to be replaced as it is common on the 2.0 TSI engines
  8. I can report by installing top mounts 5WA 412 331 A (Arteon) has made a difference however I am on Bilstein coilovers aswell. It's feel more comfortable/ road imperfections are a bit less intrusive and the steering weight is lighter in Normal mode.
  9. Got an update from my tuner when I asked about the clunking with the alloy subframe, the solution is to replace all 4 subframe and the 4 ARB's bolts.
  10. I'm considering doing this but wanted to ask were you able to drive the car without it being coded first? Im planning for a mechanic to do the install and could code via obd11 when I got home
  11. Thanks! I don't know how I missed it!

  13. It's mod with zero performance increase. However gives them an excuse to charge you more. My car is heavily modified so my insurance premium is high.
  14. Not seen any aluminium control arms for the Skoda Superb MK3, they only do OE steel ones with ball joint. The aluminium ones are for which for the MK2 Superb model 3T based on their part finder.
  15. @JR RS From the LCA parts list for the Arteon I looked at, they were made out of steel, I couldn't find any which were made of aluminium, even checked the Super pro website to see if they offered any but sadly no. As for sound deadening, I would say that VW/Audi definitely have more premium sound deadening than the Superb even it's better than most models. Behind the door covers there is one thing sheet on the inner door skin and there is some foam on the wheel arch liner along with some in the roof liner and under the carpet
  16. Great Minds @ John, I was literally doing the same thing earlier!
  17. The Alloy subframe fits most MQB cars including the Golf R etc... The only thing that wont fit on the Superb is the Alloy LCA's for the Golf. I've been running the ally subframe for over a year now with no issues, with B16 DCC coilovers, Whiteline Front and Rear ARBs and droplinks. I always thought the low speed noise was the top strut mounts which I've just bought and was planning to replaced them. Also once you've installed the B16 DCC remember to recalibrate the DCC values via OBD11, I didn't do that at first and the ride was firm, once calibrated it was much better.
  18. it will need some modifying as the exhaust hanger positions are slightly different on the Superb.
  19. Ive been having issues with my AAWireless, it stopped connecting so then i had to get onto the support team and who told me to put it onto the passthrough mode. It did start working and but takes a good few tries to load up/connect with the headunit.
  20. Mines is due at the end of may so will wait until the renewal letter comes and plus i have several factors against me lol, firstly I unfortuanately live in Birmingham and the secondly is mines is a heavily modified stage 3 so not many insurers will give me a reasonable quote or even offer to insure it.
  21. Amazing! mines went up from £580 to £865 last year! I hoping it goes back down for this year renewal!
  22. The DQ250 is strong however i think if you pusher anymore then it will start to fail, i believe the tuner limited the torque to a safer limit. Otherwise if i was looking to go for 700nm plus then the recommendation was to upgrade to a DQ381. However I decided to get the strongest and got a DQ500 instead.
  23. 280 came with the DQ250 6 speed, 272 comes with a DQ381 7 speed. I ran my DQ250 up to 624nm with no issues before upgrading to a DQ500.
  24. What's the benefits of the swapping the camera and was it straight forward to swap?
