Octavia seat fitment help
I cant remember if the passat seats use the same rails as the mk4 golf platform. so check exactly what car they came out of. assuming they are actually mk4 golf platform - fronts will fit no problem. I think the wiring loom can be fitted without too much hassle. rears might fit but look "wrong" as the shapes across the platform models are slightly different. from memory, the golf seats are narrower than octavia's so leave a gap along the edge.

Interior disassembly help
Well, you need to be a bit more exact about what you want to take apart. theres a lot of different bits. numerous guides for different jobs will have instructions for taking that area apart. eg threads on door lock issues will tell you how to disassemble the door cards - including the switch modules in them. if your even reasonably handy with a screwdriver and torx set (im assuming you must be if your willing to tackle led replacements on circuit boards) you figure it out pretty quick. top of my head - the headlight switch > put it to the corner lights (12 o clock) push the switch into the dash, rotate it and then it will pull out.

Crazy car design
Havent watched either of them. ive just listened to a couple of podcasts that have covered it (in rather hilarious fashion to be honest, along with several other conspiracy theories, just a couple of Those Guys.. who discuss Conspiracies. yeah, im quite sceptical (theres even guide to universe i listen to) but i enjoy listening to stuff from both sides of that fence :)

Crazy car design
this one looks like those car-icatures that were popular back in the early 00s. (ya know the ones that gave civics huge wheels, and tiny windscreens, but massive spoilers and bonnets scoops )

Im slightly more concerned about the lad that appears to have been Philadelphia-project'ed into the wall of the building.. it appears the AI has been partially trained on Conspiracy theories 🤣🤣

Central Locking
Hi @Greycar You have put this in the website help section. a mod @Dean might move it to the relevant car model section of the forum for you. in relation to your issue though, it sounds to me like a frayed wire in the door controller unit or wiring harness that goes from the door the main body of the car. its moving about while you drive and causing a short thats activating the locking circuit.

Another Tesla Class Action Law Suit - Odometer Fraud
from what i saw the plaintiff said the onboard driver log had recorded his 25mile standard commute as a 75mile journey on a number of occasions. i dont think Warrior was necessarily making a claim about the range per cycle discrepancy, more so putting it out there as a possibility it could impact on it.
-
Another Tesla Class Action Law Suit - Odometer Fraud
from what i have read, the issue isnt with it altering the range, but with manipulating the total odometer mileage until it reads over the warranty cover distance in a shorter time period than it should reach that limit. range manipultaion was a different lawsuit a couple of yrs ago 😆😆

Another Tesla Class Action Law Suit - Odometer Fraud
its on thestreet.com classaction.org and carcomplaints.com its not getting media coverage because, well, lets face it the current US new media sphere is being very quiet about most things even loosely connected to Elon or Trump 🤷♂️ if i had more details than that i would them, but its all i have at the minute. Im sure it doesnt affect every vehicle, these things rarely do, and it may be a jurisdictional thing - ie its only been done in certain places. but it may be worth tracking for anyone with a tesla

Another Tesla Class Action Law Suit - Odometer Fraud
Why do you think Elon is slowly trying to gut all the US safety administrations and consumer protections are being stripped by Donny...

Another Tesla Class Action Law Suit - Odometer Fraud
I could put this in several places, but i feel like this will reach more people who may need the information. Just saw a video on Tiktok that Tesla is facing another class action lawsuit in the US, for essentially clocking their cars. Turns out the Odometer reporting on some/ many Teslas have been using AI and driver "analytics " to alter the odometer reporting to increase the displayed distance travelled. Why would they do that? well because its another way to invalidate the warranty - by exceeding the warrantied distance faster. a guy noticed that the drive reporting was showing his very regular 25 mile commute was showing as erratic and varied driving up to 76miles. but after the vehicle went over the warranty covered 50k, the reporting normalised to it being a 25mile drive consistantly.

warrantyor not id be getting fair sick of not having my vehicle because the engine keeps eating itself.. one of my main contractor reps in work had a hybrid kia thing for about 5months. it spent more time in the dealers than at work. his company insisted on a replacement vehicle after the 5th trip and went back to a diesel for him, which also had gearbox issues...

A fine addition to my collection
Door lock could be the dead bolt is stuck. if it sounds like it is getting power when you press the buttons, its the deadbolt. theres plenty threads on replacing them, just dont use a hammer etc. to open the door, i have explained many times on the lock threads its unnecessary violence. a stanley blade, 2 allen keys and patience. the rear wiper - check if the fuse has been pulled as a very first check. i pulled my fuse as the water damage electrical short made my front wipers come on permanently one day. pullingthe rear fuse stopped them. The washer fluid pipe passes through the center line of the motor, which why the motors get damaged... so that was a great design choice. the trim falling off is also common on estates and hatchbacks 🤣 couple of new clips, line it up and smack it into place, be grand. cup holder... ohhh its been a while, but presume its the 1 by the handbrake? mine was broken too, iirc (10yrs ago) it was the little spring had unseated itself. fiddly job to fix it, i possibly left it be. if you want, glue it down and you can get a double cup holder from a Lupo that fits in place of the storage cubby under the radio, if you have a single DIN headunit.
