  1. well the TFL number is 0343 222 2222 the number given 0343 222 3331 is a registered scam call number... https://who-called.co.uk/Number/03432223331
  2. 4x4^2 ... does that mean it has 64 little wheels??
  3. Sunday morning, 655am. darkness into light, was lovely. the time above made it even better. today was earlier start, still dark when i got home. problem though.... when i get up, swmbo wakes up also, and cant get back sleep, which isnt ideal, given the still not 100% health situation. That and any time from 530am either or both of the Spuds are liable to wake up too. but night running has the problem of me ending up on the endorphine rush at 11pm and so cant sleep... so i may have to look at splitting the programme... into sma set day routine rather than the current "every second day" which is a fortnightly cycle to - 6am runs Tue and thur 9pm run Fri and Sun ibthink i can work, gives the possibility of a lie in to happen at the weekend..
  4. if its dead via the loom, it might not be locked (as in it mightve not locked but just wont open) did you carefully count the threads the ribbed end of the outer bowden cable before removing and refitt with the same count visible? did you test the mech several times with a screwdriver to close the latch before you closed it? try leaning a bit on the door panel just beside the handle to push the metal in just a bit and pull the handle at the same time. if the cable is over tightened this will relax it just a smidge and might allow it to release.
  5. *bump i seem to remember someone posting about changing the region to Australia?
  6. you need an obdii bluetooth dongle aswell...
  7. Change of Tactic Alert!! im due my run today. but, i decided last night before bed - If one of the boys wakes up and has resettled before 630am, ill go for my run in the morning. 542am - spud sr starts his dawn chorus.. "are you ok?" "i need a wee" "come on so" he was asleep again by 555am. so, i stayed up, got geared uo and left the house at 615. Target- if i dont have ti stop and walk ilbe happy as ive never done early morning running. also, id left my headphones in the study, which has a quite loud door handle, so i was going au naturale sound scape.. 5seconds slower than Mondays PB... shocked is an under statement
  8. you need an obdii dongle to plug into the diagnostic socket on the car. then insrall the carista app on your phone. the fob closing can be turned off or on. tbh im thinking of turning it off, as i sat on my key recently while doing an evening feed with our newborn and opened all my windows. it pi55ed rain all night.. seats and carpet were d soaking the next morning. it can be a great INconvenience option...
  9. so then a couple of more runs.. being tired was a bit cruel... but last night... i was calving when i hit stop! i felt over the first 2k it was a good pace, but i didnt look at it until i was hitting the last 200m. side note, that was 5 runs in the same gear. no sweaty stink off them and my tshirts are less sweaty taking them off after the run too. so yes, Alpkit gear is worth the investment!
  10. jaysus havent updated for a while.. 29th sept 1st Oct crackin the goal is hard.. weather bern a mixed bag of horrible isnt helpin... also fitbit not distance made it a disappointing effort
  11. it means the basic chassis is the same, so seat mounting points, and suspension connections, engines mounting piints etc are in the same places, but the cars are designed up from that differently. so, are they "basically the same car" yes and no. the basic underpinnings are same, but they are not the same in terms of weight and weight distribution over the axles.
  12. try getting a cooton bud / q-tip and dip it in some contact cleaner / isopropyl alcohol and clean out the aux jack. it may just be dirt. otherwise, start looking at how to strip the centre console to check for cable breaks to the headunit.
  13. i dont know if he did, but he hasnt been on in 6 1/2 yrs, so.... you may be waiting for a reply. anyway, if you are looking getting coilovers, make sure they are an octy rated setup. the weights are different to a golf, esp the rear, and it wont sit right.
  14. thats when you get the angle grinder... or at least a blow torch for some warmth
  15. thats that the plusgas is for init??

  17. im gonna go with its colour interactions on the news cameramaking it look double red
  18. the rear washer corrodes itself from the inside. likely that the previous owner pulled the fuse to stop the tesulting electrical gremlins. can get a replacement unit if you want. the boot trim tends to fall off last owner possibly binned having got fed up of putting back in sounds like the drivers door lock mech is knackered and was "solved" by disconnecting it. ebay for a replacement unit, and theres a few good guides on replacing them deanvrs did one in the guides section.
  19. so... you shouldve taken the advice from June then??
  20. 36 laps destroyed the wheel bearings, and only minced 1/2 a set of brakes because he had the driver aids turned off, wouldve been gone the backing plate if they were turned on. thats an impressive amount of damage inflicted in such a short time.
  21. pretty sure hell need an hgv license along with the firearms license
  22. any of the chinese ones tbh, theyre all the same. just make sure the pt number matches for the door position.
  23. i passed a column of these today.. should be able to handle the rough stuff? its a very unusual thing to have in your rear view mirror....
