  1. Went from a Mk2 diesel to a Mk3 diesel and about to move to a Mk3 FL 1.5tsi. Mk3 a much better car overall. Suspension not the best but otherwise a great car. Good luck with BMW.
  2. Similar to the car I have on order. Same colour and spec. Hope you really enjoy it.
  3. I understand to some extent. However in other countries it's available in the higher specs, e.g. UK equivalent of SEL.
  4. Lucky you. Hope you share your opinion of the car after you drive it.
  5. One snag with the 1.0tsi in the UK is that it's only available in S or SE trim. No SEL version, seems a bit short sighted of Skoda UK.
  6. Perhaps it's linked to the factory closure over Christmas ?
  7. As well as adding heated seats I bought a new set of winter wheels and tyres. Dealer will fit and put original alloys in the boot. So will have a used set of 15" wheels with good winter tyres available in January !
  8. UK spec levels - S then SE then SEL then L&K - Vrs SEL gets LED lights, satnav, alcantara/leather, sunset glass, 17" wheels etc
  9. Hope you enjoy the car once it arrives. I was tempted by the 1.0tsi but wanted the SEL spec and for some odd reason Skoda UK only sells the 1.0tsi in S or SE spec. A friend has the same engine in a new Fabia Estate and swears by it. I know the Fabia is lighter but he says it's very nimble and quick. Good luch with it.
  10. Hope you enjoy your car, got mine on order. Expected in January, i hope !
  11. Before I ordered my car I considered the SE spec as it can be ordered with the All Season tyres on 16" wheels. I asked the dealer if these were proper winter approved tyres e.g. Mitchelen Cross Climate or similar and he confirmed that they were. He had recently ordered and delivered 6 x SE spec Octavia Estatates with the All Season tyre option to one Scottish Office Department. Just speak to your dealer and ask.
  12. Just start a thread headed "New 1.0 tsi ordered club" . Should help.
  13. Phoned dealer and was able to add heated seats, he said build date wouldn't change but if I wanted to add anything else I needed to do it now. Very pleased.
  14. All this talk of heated steering wheel and seats makes me think I should have added heated seats to my order. Might just phone the dealer and see if it can be added. Suspect I may be a bit late !
  15. Just looking at the Race Blue I wonder if I made the right decision to go for Quartz Grey for a change !
  16. Very pleased to hear you got it back. I guy I know who lives next door to a police detective told him to never buy an Audi as they get stolen so often in Edinburgh. Vrs is an attractive car too !
  17. The 1.4tsi is the "older" engine and will be phased out soon, the 1.5 tsi is the newer engine. According to the price list on SE spec it's £300 more not £2000.
  18. "Yme" looks great in the race blue. Our present Octavia is race blue, went for quartz grey just for a change. Enjoy.
  19. Same rubbish suspension on my present Octavia. So kind of used to it now. It's going to be difficult waiting ! Just ****ed off I need to VT it.
  20. It's not all about the Octavia Vrs (nice though they are), so I thought a topic just for the new 1.5 tsi was needed. If you have ordered one let us know the spec and details here. Ordered mine yesterday. 1.5 tsi SEL DSG in Quartz Grey. ACC Spare Wheel Hope to get it January 2018.
  21. Just ordered an Octavia 1.5tsi SEL DSG in Quartz Grey, spare wheel and Active Cruise Control. Car is on order for the dealership and if they can adjust the spec ( it's got a few things I don't need/want ) it will be built week 50. So delivery mid to end Jan 2018. If the spec can't be altered then it will be February 2018, I hope. having to VT current car as there will be no equity left, bummer.
  22. I ended up back at the dealership and told them a bulb had gone and that I had bought new ones but they were not sitting correctly. Would they check them for me ? They refitted at no cost and did it in a few minutes. New bulbs much better than stabdard ones.
  23. The hard part is getting the glove box refitted ! Have fun, the rest is easy.
  24. Was in getting summer alloys swapped over to my winter ones at my local Skoda dealership and having a chat with the salesman seems I can termiate my pcp deal in a month or so (7wks). It's 42 months and due to finish in Sept 2018. As I suspected there will be no equity in the car at the end and I suspect it's about to go into negative equity very soon. Just wondering if I should change sooner rather than later. Had originally planned to keep it to the end but that seems a bit pointless. Obviously salesman keen that I swap soon ! Current car is 1.6 tdi manual and would be looking to get a 1.5 tsi dsg. Thoughts and advice welcome.
