Mpg adjustment
When it is a bit colder even a TSI might just get to an indicated 92*oC Oil Temperature even if it uses 0w 20 FS IV. The difference of starting with a 10*oC lower ambient temperature so oil temp will affect MPG if just up to an efficient temp by the time you are stopping.

Skoda / VW UK have been a bit lax with T&C,s of Warranties in the UK. Various words over the past 2 decades. Service to manufacturers recommendaions. It has been Guidelines in the past. even specification. Never really 'Schedule. Issue being. Ask at Skoda Dealerships, Service Desk staff have little idea of Recommendations, Guidelines, Specifications or Schedules. They learn on the job and use a keyboard. Skoda Approved used cars, or SEAT, Audi, VW, Porsche etc might have Full Main Dealer Service Histories and remainder of the Manufacturers warranty or an extended warranty, yes not SERVICED TO THE MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS, or Specification or Schedule. Brake Fluid not changed, VAQ Diff or Haldex Servicing not carried out, etc etc. They are 'Simply clever', but simply vague. Cambelt Changes 1.5 TSI ACT in the UK a dust free country was at 5 years / 50,000 miles by the Recommendations / Schedule. Skoda / VW Group dealers had all these Approved Used cars at 50,000 miles or more, no Cam Belt changed, owners were not paying £750- £1,200 so traded in cars. VW Group changed the Advice / Recommendation / Schedule last June. Enough people had been conned into paying, Now they had not the Staff or all with the equipment to be doing the job and maybe losing money. Skoda dealership likely to be the last people to know about anything. They all do that. It is a characteristic. Never seen or heard of that before. Best go test drive another vehicle and engine and gearbox.- Visually etc. My car of the day -today

@JHH20 Welcome. Is that when the car is maybe going from 2 cylinder mode to 4 cylinder or just the turbo coming in? Maybe nothing to do with it, but. What tyre / wheel size is on your car and have you experimented with the tyre pressures? Try putting the front wheels to the rear and rear to front.- the truth about electric cars
- Wrap kits
They do not show anything for Itsy bisy teeny weeny VW Group Ibiza / Polo / Fabia Brake Calipers or even Octavia / Golf / Passatt etc. Fit Bentley or Porsche Calipers & then maybe you are sorted for wrapping. Painting Fabia ones is usually enough.- OakSh's Fabia Mk.3
Welcome. Looks good in yellow. There is a Fabia Project section for you to start a thread in.- Mpg adjustment
Esso where you are is delivered by Greenergy who produce Momentum 99. Esso Synergy + 99 up north is not Zero Ethanol as in some areas of the UK. TSI,s (Turbos love Ethanol, but it is Hygroscopic so less is in petrol in winter in the UK.) EDIT. Maybe in the North East they have it 0% Ethanol, and from a different depot, not from Greenergy. E5 will meet the Minimum Octane it is sold at, but that does not mean all around the UK the same Super Unleaded is the same, it can have a higher octane / ron than the Minimum it has to be.- Mpg adjustment
How far is your commute, and have you brimmed your tank to be sure of your actual miles per litre. & does your milometer show the same miles to work? Can you do your car / engine a favour and use Tesco Momentum 99 ?, lovely stuff in the North East of England. Shell V-Power is the same base fuel, just a different additive package and more expensive. Not superior.- Mpg adjustment
That is a lot. But we have no idea the length of your commute to work. Not much colder is it where you are? Then you have more rubber on the road, we have no idea what tyres you have on and if any less efficient. More grip / traction / friction. SAFER. You now have winter formulation petrol in the filling station, less hygroscopic than earlier in October, but no less of an octane / ron than before. Still E5 or E10 if you use that. It can actually be a higher ron then the Min 97 or 99 if you use Super Unleaded.- the truth about electric cars
Temporarily until the New Registered ICE vehicles get higher VED,s.- Fabia iv first service
When the UK was in the EU Skoda had a 3 years manufacturers warranty in the UK and only 2 years in some EU or European countries. Australia was 5 years and is now 7. So check the Warranty for the country it is relevant to.- the truth about electric cars

A global demand of 40% of cobalt for EV batteries. And? Dig dig dig then. & then start storing any waste that can not be recycled in the holes for retrieval when a few generations on their are those that might use it. The Donald is going to pump pump pump, and frack frack frack and the people will need to row row row where there is water. and in the US states short of water import it. I hope any Cobalt in Scotland is left where it is until the demands for it has it at the highest prices.- Electric Rally, Race or Track Cars.
- the truth about electric cars
Yes, and the difference that makes for business users and those charging off peak is really paid for with 4 tank fills of fuel not required if it was an ICE vehicles. It seems to be those without EV,s that are all excited at the idea of others having to pay the Government Treasury money for VED. EV owner might just dismiss this additional running cost as neither here nor there. Plenty disabled keepers and drivers in the UK will be paying nothing extra.- Regen. Yae or Nae
Yes the petrol with a GPF does do some sort of regen. Differently from a DPF, when hot and when off the accelerator. Try a search. Briskoda gpf Regen. Mk3 Octavia threads about warning light flashing etc. No warning light for the car doing automatic things. But when you might need to do a forced regen there is.- the truth about electric cars
While i had still 2 Suzuki Jimny my plan was to get a Jimny EV when they came about as there were stories of them over a decade ago and images then nothing, then last month stories about a Jimny EV, then that there is not to be. There is this at least, and great if they are up to the quality that Suzuki have been turning out for years now. 61 kWh battery if all usable getting 4 miles a kWh would be 244 miles. but if only 3.7 then 226. 49 kWh x 4 is 196 miles and 3.7 = 181. Better than any kidology of them doing 5 miles a kWh or better, so 306 miles big battery & 245 for the small. (The kidology of the 5 miles a kWh is that seen mostly from WLTP figures 'for comparison' or really, 'With a pinch of salt and tail winds'. ). Japanese CEO,s and captains of industry should tell the truth. Caught being liars means into the room with a blade and root root em oot.... @4 minutes. - 2015 Scout workshop manual to remove rear diff
