  1. I take it is one without Hill Hold Assist which is why it behaves that way. Likely not faulty just as they can be without Hill Hold, what about using the hand /parking brake for those maneuvers as the brake to accelerator pedal can be a PITA. I have only one foot so never ever can be touching the brake pedal and accelerator, touching the brake pedal does cut drive. For sprints and hill climbs i never held DSG,s with the Brake Pedal i held on hand brake & foot on accelerator.
  2. Or any E5 petrol, maybe just fill up on the less expensive but no worse Tesco Momentum 99 (99 ron minimum) , or Sainsbury Super Unleaded which is 97 ton minimum. Oop in the North East of England that already in the filling stations Winter Formulation Tesco Momentum 99 might be much better the 99 ron.
  3. @Si_Brk Welcome. Any reason you have not had Skoda UK onto things and a Courtesy or Hire car dropped off with you as your car is under warranty. ? I take it you can not use the Loaner car for the Taxi Work. Plenty have had the issue you have if you just look through the section.
  4. That is it, you cracked it. 470 bhp out of it and every motoring magazine, many bloggers and vloggers covered it. Much cheapness media coverage for Skoda UK on a discontinued model.
  5. @rappeeed14 Where did you get the information on the chains needing changed at 150,000 km ?
  6. @logiclee I did not find Cross Climate 2 SUV,s hopeless in snow, i found Cross Climate SUV,s hopeless on my Shogun. Different tyres, being used in AWD or RWD on Snow, and winter conditions, I had even gone down a size from 285 wide to 265. They were just an error, i should have put on BF Goodrich as i usually had on my 4x4.s but i was thinking on lots of road miles and towing and less track and fields. They were even hopeless crossing a grass field / car parking. There is difference a few miles for a few days night a year of snowy roads ploughed or weeks of white top roads. Hopefully this is a winter like 2009/2010 in Scotland and loads of snow. All about the kind of snow.
  7. UK based journalists might well have driven ones overseas, left hand drive, have an embargo date before they can release their review. The issue with that, or the 3 or so top Irish Vlogger / Reviewers are they are left hand drive cars. Rather different in a left hand drive using the centre screen and buttons or controls and being right handed than a right hand drive car and being right handed. I get annoyed when there are right hand drive cars and the reviewers use the Screen in the middle of the car while stationery. Lets see how the touch screen is with the car moving and changing or choosing stuff. & let us see how the Voice controls are in English with various regional dialects once you choose ENGLISH UK and not ENGLISH US. Too many make comments about stuff being slow but there will be a fix. Well SKODA / VW Group sell them and the buyers can whistle for these FIXES. .......... A Briskoda member and tells it as it is. & drives various Skoda models often long term. Respect!
  8. @Gav78 Welcome. Say what year your mk2 Fabia is as well as what engine petrol or diesel, what cc and what gearbox. Also how many miles done and has it had up to date servicing and maintenance>
  9. You will have to use the VIN to check with suppliers. Moon or Candy white or something else.
  10. Last night i was listening about the Election in the USA, and Arizona. 3 areas for very different employments, Las Vagas & hospitality, another area Tech & Communications, and then another mining, so is gold, minerals / lithium, the largest mineral producing state in the USA. Neither of those standing to be the President is going to stop the mining are they?
  11. There were cars and there maybe still are some that you buy new or nearly new / Pre Reg / Demonstrators and keep for 10 years or more and still sell and they have just been around £1,000 a year in depreciation. eg, Skoda Fabia mk1 vRS, Suzuki Jimny.
  12. That's life'. If you do not like it just do not play the game. Just get what you need for transport, look after it and run it for a long time! (If you invest in Fine wine you might make money keeping and selling. If you just drink it enjoy it.) My heart bleeds for him & these other poor poor rich people. NOT. Bargains must be around for us plebs that just want to buy these excellent vehicles....
  13. Sounds just like the switch / selector imobilizing car, when in park or moving a fraction before you have foot on the brake and move out of Park. After 10 years of use and how many miles these things can happen. Just now if things get worse you can park in N and use the Parking Brake and start the car again in N, just till you get the car checked out.
  14. AI is giving the results of Google / Search Engine keywords these days. Results need looked closer at, or maybe a memory of what happened when, what actually happened not what could happen as published by the media.
  15. Which police forces in the UK only allow 1 mph over the posted / max speed limit and ticket/ prosecute / apply fines or offer a Speed Awareness Course? There was a trial in Scotland on the stopping and advising and maybe having people fined for the Speeds Different from those applied in England & Wales. It ran for 1 year and was extended for a while longer. ........................ No Driver Awareness Course options for Speeders, So No Ex Senior Police Officers like in England running companies providing these courses. A Loads of money maker for these...
  16. I have used various Cross Climate from early on through the +, 1,s, 2,s and SUV,s on my Shogun, they were a mistake, hopeless in snow. I have had Alpin 5 and 6,s. The Maxxis AP3 Premitar i am using on my MINI electric are excellent. Better than the AP2,s I had on a Fabia.
  17. The DSG does not get confused leaving it in N and not in park. The car has not got the drive wheels locked obviously. The DSG,s can start in N as long as the temperature is not -8*oC or lower. Leaving or putting in N and engine off is what might get done during maintenance / servicing, when you need to turn the wheels / hubs etc.
  18. Are they just having to limit / ration the First Registration of ICE vehicles until the VW Group are certain they have 22 % of BEV,s first registered in 2024, but they want the orders. £15,000 it costs them for every car sold if they and the partners miss the 22%. Then there is the UK Fleet Average Co2 emissions to be met or that is another penalty. There needs to be plenty low emissions and electrified models being first registered.
  19. Holy smoke. Well that is how it is. Lots of earth moved in Australia to get minerals and much else shifted around the world. Nobody is stopping producing batteries or the recycling of them. The Donald says when he is President that they are going to drill baby drill, and frack like they have never fracked before. I do not see him saying to Elon Musk that the production of batteries must stop in the USA and no more EV,s are to be built.
  20. There is the Forum for Mk2 Kodiaq.
  21. Different model, but, What is with this sort of discount on a New Factory Build and not available till next March?
  22. Why such a discount on new factory orders not available to March 2025?
  23. 3 posts below yours at present. Not UK though. Unless the sales person is lying and they are building them for the UK how would anyone have seen one.
