the truth about electric cars
I know he says in the video there are 2 sleeper trains in the UK so why the title 'only sleeper train left in the UK'. Just somethings Youtubers do really. Caledonian Sleeper. Not cheap, you might have to book well in advance. Busy busy busy, people have money.

- the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol You are having a laugh. The Pylons are still going up from Kintore to Tealing and then south, and the Substation. As to depopulation, well we know which Government has blocked the migrants coming and settling in Scotland. Manipulating Boundries really does not tell the story of a reduced population. The UK Government have no idea how many are in the UK or in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland or those other Isles that are part of the British Isles, / Channel Islands, IOM. (They do not count them on an count them off. Because that might be embarrassing / difficult to answer for.) Lets not shed a tear for EDF. When the last nuclear power station in Scotland, the only Nuclear power station i hope EDF pay the full clean up costs and not the tax payers or other energy company customers which seems to be the way things work out. (Lots of electricity produced by them in Scotland that was exported for use across the Border.)- Soft brake pedal...
Best go to a garage with a Motor Mechanic. Not some dealerships Tech or Fitter. Strangely everything seems to feel right with them. It is how they roll.- the truth about electric cars
I looked at the Eon Next Drive tariff today. No way would i get enough of a saving on the overnight EV charging 12-7am to cover the increase of the Daily Chargers and tariff. (Small battery EV.) Not with the tariff i have fixed til next July. PS. A couple or 3 EV,s charging then really a no brainer, or covering the miles to empty the cars battery and overnight charging at home can be win win, especially if very little electricity and gas is being used through the day. Taxi Drivers, Couriers, Business users on a winner, especially those getting paid mileage expenses.- the truth about electric cars
The reduced tariff is a Pi55 take for those that are nearest to where electricity is generated and have to pay more for it. England and a UK government that was not allowing on shore wind farms in England. There is already lots of possible generation around the UK. Trouble is the none Nationalised Nation Grid. Social divide is the greed of some to get provided with products cheaply.- the truth about electric cars
^^^^ England. Scotland has similar but different, and cities and towns is very different from rural. As it is the Limit Timetables of trains in Scotland and the new announced price rises goes with Trains and Stations that get to places where there are no busses to onward travel. Bus routes being cut around Scotland but very much so north of Perth. That is a big part of the UK. .................. The Great Divide. Home / Work place charging EV owners. I wonder if a Socialist Government or the Champagne Socialist Government the UK has might start to think the Haves are having it just a bit too good with off peak tariffs and special deals from some Utility Providers.- the truth about electric cars
Maybe Charge Place Scotland will take some money from me this month, then again maybe not. They really are a crap set up. But better money in my pocket until needed to pay them. Still no reply about the £15 charges that should be cancelled though. (Pity i can not just not use them and cancel the DD.) Different from the Utilities that think you should sit in credit with them.- the truth about electric cars
Real World. ElectroVerse App is no better than the CPS App for getting chargers started in areas with weal Mobile / Internet connections. I call them Tom (Jones) It is not unusual. To have this.- the truth about electric cars
& Electroverse can not get the tariff correct at Chargers administered by Charge Place Scotland. ............ I see that the HMRC have changed the AFC on electric cars to 7 pence from 1st September. ........... Today as i hear about Energy Prices rising again next quarter i am pleased to got my tariff up till next July at 22.03 pence a kWh. ........... Had the Smart Meter fitted today. Car was at 90%. 100%-90% was 13 miles driven in town, 4 trips. It was 4 kWh to charge back to 100%,- cambelts
- Car Park Fires, Transporters / Ships, any fires, any EV,s involved or not thread, were they the cause just there and so made fighting the fire harder.
Real world. No idea if New Zealand farmers and others might be like Scottish ones. Maybe some from the Old country went to NZ. Kept up the tradition of a barn fire / insurance job every few years or decades just because they could. Nee machinery / vehicle time...- Paint protection terminology
- The next generation MINI Cooper Electric 2024 & MINI Aceman 2024/25 pics & Videos.
CITY CARS, are perfect COUNTRYSIDE, real UK driving cars for maybe 1,2,3 or sometimes 4 people. Where a SUV / 4x4 / MPV is not required, or actually a total PITA. £30,000 starting prices are a p!$$ take really and a Petrol Mini might be a better OUT OF TOWN, VILLAGE or CITY car for people who just need to go places. Or one or 2 peoples that are not Vloggers / Bloggers, Motoring Journalists or car reviewers. OBVIOUSLY you can open the rear hatch and remove the parcel shelf or not and drop one or both rear seats without needing to be opening the doors and getting in the car. The picnic baskets were chosen because tiny.(edit) & the floor could be removed or dropped to have fitted them in and give more space. Maybe put the charging cable behind the drivers seat where there is no room for anyones legs and you are opening the drivers door to get out to charge. Take out the AC cable, charge, then when finished put back, no need to open the rear hatch. Especially if you needed to be all the way reversed to a charger. But that would be DC and a Tesla Charger. No idea why I never got myself a Paceman. Really nice inside. Probably they were just too expensive. Going to see the New Aceman next week. No driving them though.- Rust due to Water finding its way in to boot floor & Under seats..
The flaps are to let air / pressure out, they can allow water in. As can the rear light seals. Lots of threads in this section if you do a word search.- Considering buying a Octavia 1.5 Estate 2020 reg any advice/suggestions
Welcome. If a Skoda Approved Used car i expect it to not just have a FSH or FMDSH but the history showing all servicing done as per Manufacturers Guidelines, Recommendations, Schedule or Spec. So even if on Flexible Servicing you will be getting a car that had the Pollen Filter Changed at 4 years, the Spark plugs at 4 years or 40,000 miles, the air filter checked if not changed yet, and not needing changed. Brake fluid changed at 3 years or at 4 / now. The Oil and filter changed at least twice if on Variable Servicing but ideally now before hand over. The Body work properly checked for damage or repairs and done to the standard to keep the Corrosion Warranty valid. There is some really shockingly bad Skoda Approved Used cars on offer for sale. There is supposed to be rigorous checks. Sadly often not. The Cam belt is no longer scheduled for a change @ 5 years / 50,000 miles & if a DSG not due an oil change at 40,000 miles as it is a DQ200 with no servicing.- New Skoda Mk4 for Disabled Drivers
@Wheelchair_Wonder Motabiliity are really trying to help out car manufacturers get the required number of EV,s on the road and Motabilities idea of Accessible Charging is a total joke, just as the Charger Companies, architects and installers. They think dropped kerbs seem to work for what is needed and totally ignore the need for low screens, touch pads etc and overhead spring assisted cables and the likes. Some places are better than others but trying to get a cable from it's holder to the cars charger port and plugged in be it a wheelchair user or many disabilities or even non disabled can be just too hard. Front Charge Points on cars can suit many, but even that is not necessarily true for every EV driver or passenger.- New Skoda Mk4 for Disabled Drivers
- New Skoda Mk4 for Disabled Drivers
'Wireless control units now' and selectors. For the disabled. As to Dealerships and doing Brake Assist, Steering assist adaptions etc that just need plugging in and changing, first you might get it done. *Then the car goes back, get a Service and MOT a month or 2 before going to BCA, then back on sale and neverback to a factory setting.* There are wonderful controls now for disabled and infirm drivers. New ones i had never seen in last months Motability Magazine / Lifestyle. Forget SKODA moving anything. A specialist converter will. The Motability Specialist (trained supposedly) in Dealerships have got more hopeless over the years and Skoda Dealerships ones likely as bad as any. Arnold Clark Dealerships can have hopeless ones with any brand.- the truth about electric cars
I heard reported what she said as here in the headines. About the 20 mph limits. Not actually listened to it from the horses mouth.- Skoda Superb Sleeper Edition.
Welcome. Just buy a in stock or used Superb and you can have one perform exactly like that or even better. RE Performance or someone else will do it for you, or DIY as others have. http://reperformance.co.uk Do a Mk4 Superb.- the truth about electric cars

Just heard about it on the radio overnight. Then something popped up on my phone. ***A cheap advertising idea / cunning stunt by Skoda. Lots of media articles.*** (I was passing a car transporter outside Aberdeen yesterday and thought it was a new Octavia vRS Estate in green but it might have been one of these, this one even.) - the truth about electric cars
