  1. British Rally Championship on ITV 4. Highlights at 20.00 21stAugust. Round 4 in Scotland. Voyonic Grampian Forest Rally.
  2. The thing is i take what is available when i arrive and am not there long, if TESLA came in needing a charge and no charger available i would move. Even though i have had years of barstewards hogging chargers or bays in a Tesla, locked in and not charging on other charger types, they could have just charged slower on an AC and that there are usually a few of. But many do the same in any type of car. Jaguar drivers i find to be the worst for this. The most desperate times i have had twice at chargers not working and no alternative were sorted by Tesla drivers stopping charging sooner than planned to let me get a charge. We should always remember a pay back...
  3. I heard on the radio today that the biggest Solar Farm ever is to be built in Australia and electricity transmitted to Darwin and an undersea interconnector to export electricity to Singapore.
  4. Open the bonnet and close it and the red warning goes out the same as the yellow one does though if it came on because oil was low and spirited driving yet the low oil warning had not come on. Crap set up.
  5. Hydrogen pump and nearby EV charging. Aberdeen.
  6. Tesla supercharger is the cheapest rapids in Aberdeen I can use. 41 pence a kWh. No messing about. Plenty others chargers near now but some double the price. Porsche Charing might be less with a Porsche just down the road. Edit, 58 miles driven and cost me £6.20 to be back to 100%
  7. The Face Lift will be a my25 model is it not? What has been on sale for a year a my24.
  8. I am going to have to let Eon Next have a Smart Meter fitted after years of ignoring them and them missing appointments that were made and even them saying a Smart Meter could not be fitted at my house. I was starting a charge of the car and the meter should have read 90735 & it is at 60735. It was reading OK up to yesterday and i charged 32 kWh over night. I will leave it a week or 3 or until they next want a meter reading and then they can go by my usual usage. (Sadly higher than my usual 5 kWh a day since i started charging the car at home when the tariff dropped.) EDIT. Getting fitted Friday lunch time, or someone is coming to fit then. It could have been done today as an appointment was available.
  9. If it is the Rubber then treat the rubber with rubber treatment or replace it. Gummi Pflege, or there are other treatments. Liqui Moly Rubber Care, etc
  10. @Zeltak It is simply clever to mention your Country when discussing Dealerships and their advice, or their employees. ? Have you a service agreement where the Servicing with be each 24 months, & up to 32,000 km apart? How many services are you getting, after 2 years and 4 years on an already 4 year old car? ? Has it already had the spark plugs replaced, the pollen filter twice, the brake fluid at least once? ? Are they doing the pollen filter at the next 2 services,& the Brake Fluid, the Spark Plugs at the the 2nd service and the air filter at the next one?
  11. Guest_ replied to skotommy's topic in Skoda Karoq
Welcome. Maybe do a simply search and you will find many similar threads.
  12. If the New Labour Government pledged it pre election then pledged it is. 'Just do it'.
  13. A Skoda Approved Used Car. Read stuff before signing. Read now as you can be mis-sold. As it is what have you agreed to? Did you get the Warranty Policy & T&C,s. A Salesperson is the least likely to know anything. Be sure to tell the Dealer Principal they need o get their Management sorted out, sales and dealership staff trained properly. In up-selling even, because the muppet you spoke with never took the Up-selling opportunity. Crap Servicing Plans, 2 Inspection Services etc, Fixed. Or just getting your car in annually giving a New Car Sales opportunity.
  14. @Zeltak Who at the car dealers? Tell them to go speak to a technician or just the cleaner? They who ever they were know nothing. They all leave the Factory for the UK on Variable / Flexible Servicing other than PHEV,s. Dealers change them to Fixed Servicing regularly without asking the New Owner or because of a service plan. It is very easy to change the Service Indicator to Fixed rather than Variable / Flexible. Or leave on Variable and service Annually or at 9,400 miles or sooner if you want to.
  15. Not much of a road test then, but neither is a drive from the car parked and into the workshop. Noise there before service and again after means best have the car checked again & a road test by someone with hearing aid on.
  16. This is some guidance for a Fixed Service. Oil & Filter regime. Cambelt change incorrect, DSG incorrect for some DSG,s, misses VAQ Diff Servicing. Air Filter schedule crazy time not to be checking annually. Bottom GREEN Chart, is how it was pre 2020 from Skoda UK Fixed Price Servicing.
  17. @ile7 I would assume you had the oil changed at a place where they knew what they were doing, but then maybe they did not. ? Was the filter changed at the service? How many km had it done when you had it serviced?
  18. @yeti99 Maybe an idea to say what engine and gearbox you have. Is it nothing to do with the tyres fitted and the tyre pressures? What was done at the servicing out of interest, and pre this last service. Has it had a Brake Fluid change, brake pads or discs replaced, & did it get road tested at the service?
  19. @Winston_Woof When Suzuki do an Electric Jimny i will have one. @Graham Butcher It was not built to be top heavy, just for a purpose and that was to go any place a Quad could and in comfort. (Or where you might not take a Quad.)
  20. But you will not get prosecuted hopefully if just towing a car / vehicle a short distance to the nearest place of safety with a Tow rope or Strap. As the Police or Highways Staff might well do and do do in the UK. Emergencies, a few yards / meter only though.
  21. ^^^ Those that have had to pay to have them replaced.
  22. Strange as i am not narrow of shoulder and 6 foot tall and did not need the seat fully back. they are a wide car. Only 2 size 10 shoes though and one not moving as sitting to the right of the accelerator and the left foot doing the work. @Graham Butcher Was it a manual you were in with 3 pedals? Is there any small cars that you can fit comfortably in & drive in comfort? There was more shoulder space and foot space than in a MINI. I have a more comfortable driver space in a MINI compared to a 520 BMW.
  23. People seem to almost assume a repair is very expensive @RT_SGP, but first after getting a diagnosis the MCU if required refurbished or replaced might not be so expensive. Maybe cheaper were @ile7 is than maybe other countries. But as for Dealership / VW Group the cost can be eye watering. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/525725-dsg-mechatronic-failure-uk-parts-pricing-repair The Failure rate being reported globally of DQ381 DSG,s is much more than there was with the DQ200,s that required a World Wide Recall where Europe was not part of the World because it was VW Group doing it.
  24. @Scalagal Welcome. Did you try an internet search?
