Dacia stopped selling Bi-fuel cars in the UK, did they restart? There is a thread in the review section. @J.R. They only sold road fuel in litres in the UK because it went EU Light. Not that everyone knows what a gallon is anyway. We never went to kph / km,s, properly metric, just a bit of things with decimalisation. Mix & Match & Rule Britannia / Imperial Gallons, & the USA can do their own ones. & quarts.

Possibly might as well have a 1.4 TSI ACT and remap if required. Same MPG available as the TDI then. PS You will not run the engine with the conversion to LPG all the time on LPG.

But Dealership Service Desk Staff are free and loose with the word RECALL< (When not a DVLA Safety Critical) & when it is a Recall Action, a Service Campaign, and as it is ask them to ask a grown up what the 3 are. They have a phone, a keyboard, legs or a wheel chair. Their job is reception. 5 1/2 days a week full time and sometimes as thick as mince. The Service Manager and the Master Tech are through the house. High time they get to know a RECALL is when you tell Registered Keepers the vehicle needs to come back in. If they have to find out themselves or if they happen to be in the Dealership they are Skoda Secret Service Recall Actions. On need to know basis and the customers are the last to need to know and them telling the customer is as much in the dark. It is worth doing some man maths. If you do 15,000 miles a year in the TDI and get 10 miles a litre, so pretty much 45 mpg then that is 1,500 litres. @155 pence a litre, £2,320 ish. If in the petrol getting 7.5 miles a litre. 34 mpg. 469 gallons. 2,131 litres. Say Super Unleaded @ 155 pence a litre. £3,300 ish. How much can that be reduced by if you spend £2,160 on a LPG conversion and buy less petrol and LPG @ 80 pence a litre.? I do not know. If you get LPG from a Farmer that has a Grain Drier or the likes, you save lots. But then that is not legal.

Engine type would have meant something if the answer was a 7 speed. Because it would have ruled out one or other as in 7 speed wet or dry. @ile7 Go to the motor factors and get the correct parts. That is what they do.

But not if a DQ381. @ile7 What engine and gearbox do you have since nobody that has checked you VIN has been along?

Got you. Sorry my bad. I see now, McLaren £160, Skoda £162. They can be greedy barstewards, no point going to them then unless you are sure it will be covered under warranty. Best avoid them for buy new or used as well. Go where people are happy to earn a living and make reasonable profits. Maybe the Dealership Owners / Directors drive McLarens.

^^^ Doubt that very much. ? How many miles a year do you do? Have you had an insurance quote yet with and without a LPG conversion? Is the Audi really having the conversion for anything to do with Economy!

You certainly can not compare an engine built to run on LPG and not petrol. But a built to be Duel Fuel (Bi-Fuel like a Dacia makes sense for some, or others much more than a conversion IMO. Then there is the price of the LPG you are paying and a conversion, and testing / servicing of the LPG. Not a good economic choice for the OP IMHO. A remap and buy the fuel or keep the car you have and remap. If passing vehicles safely is the aim, then a Superb is hardly a sports car, but normal commuter / city cars can accelerate ok if from 30 mph.

Is it not just that they do not want Skoda owners coming to them? If they do there is the diagnosis, then hourly rates. Are there many Skoda Taxi, Uber about? Is there a Skoda Dealer near?

@SuperBmE Welcome. What temperature did you want the interior to get to, with no Climate Control on? and if there are vents open the temperature outside is going to be what comes into the vehicle if it is not getting heated. Or am i missing something?

@J.R. Better mpg per the same price spent on fuel. It is a higher octane and you can get more power from an engine built to run on LPG. As the quantity, weight etc. between Petrol 95 or 99 ron & LPG it is what it is. All i know is that in Countries where you can not increase the engine Capacity you can stick with say the Original 3.5 V8 Classic Range rover and get much more power running on LPG. That is the customers RPI build engines for in lots of cases. I bought 2 demonstrators from them.

Sounds like a bargain if they can diagnose correctly. What like is the service waiting area, drinks and pastries? How far away is the nearest Skoda or VW Group Main dealer?

@Tuscany Is that in D with your foot on the brake pedal, and just the same if Autohold activated? What if you are sitting with it in S with foot on pedal or Autohold active, is it still showing 1,000 rpm? Running in should make no difference. But running the car on E5 97 or 99 ron min super unleaded might rather than E10 95 unleaded if that is what you are using.

Aberdeen will make such a difference for me. Council 50 kW chargers are 47 pence but pretty hopeless and unreliable. The Supercharger hub is so handy. (I am charging near at the LIDL anyway at 65 pence a kWh.) Broxton Park & Ride Superchargers just for reliability will make a difference but the new Charger Hub if chargers are working is cheaper, (I have not used them yet.) but only 50 kW so big battery and fast charging cars might well go to the top of the car park for the Tesla chargers. Perth Superchargers. & the new council chargers last year.

? How much a litre is the LPG compared to 95 ron unleaded or 97 / 99 ron min super unleaded? Speak to the installer. I used to run V8,s on LPG. LPG only no petrol starting and no petrol carried. *Engines built by RPI Engineering to run on LPG though. Used in Land Rovers, Morgans and even Ultima race cars. * LPG is not less powerful, it is 110 octane. But you might well need double the amount of litres compared to petrol. **When i ran LPG it was less than 1/2 the price per litre than petrol and for 9 litres of LPG i got more MPG than 4.5 litres of petrol would have taken a v8. ** (@ ASDA not only was petrol £1 a litre and LPG 50 pence, paid with an ASDA credit card you got 2 pence a litre off.) Then LPG has no Markers like Red Diesel had. Which is maybe why some run it, like to Military Shows etc where they might not fill the tank at a filling station. I got about 3 miles a litre from the LPG, even towing a Car Transporter and car. 9 litres x 3 = 27 mile. a Gallon of petrol would not have taken me 27 miles. As to the Tank. You fill to 80% because that is what tanks fill to for expansion. The Ferry from Scotland to Northern Ireland was an issue. I never got on. They looked at the Diesel Land Rover, they wanted to dip or open the tanks. I told them look at the engine it is a petrol running on LPG. I did not use the 'Bomb' word luckily. 120 litre and a 90 litre LPG tank. I missed one ferry then they started guff about the car on the trailer, running on petrol, no Tachograph if i was Towing for Gain or Reward and sh!te. I told them to spin on it. http://v8engines.com

My Total Charges came to £30.43 which they took by DD. This included a session that was £13.13 My CPS Account shows the £30.43 'Unpaid' but the money has gone from my account. 'Stripe' took the £13.13 from the CC that i gave the details for payments. That is £43.56 that i have paid. I will see if they reply within 48 hours & then sort their error with a refund. It looks that someone co-cked up at the PDI resetting the Factory Variable Servicing interval of 18,000 - 20,000 miles / 24 months to Fixed 9,400 miles /372 days and leaving an Inspection at 24 months / 20,000 miles. They should have been set to be at the same time. (If the customer was asked what they wanted, changed to Fixed or left on Variable. With only 2,000 miles fixed is correct IMO.) The question is how long before hand over was the PDI actually done, was it more than a week or 2 before the OP got the car.?

They replaced the MCU / Mechatronic Control Unit.

If you have an Account with CPS and then did the Update as required check how much has been taken. I got notice of how much would be taken and this was correct for the sessions i had. This was taken from the account as was. 3 sessions. Then the money was taken again for 1 of these sessions that was already paid for from the new set up. I have asked them to make the refund.
