Tyre pressure error
Are all the pressures the same or near same as when set if you check immediately after a warning. As in when tyres are then hot. A binding brake or bearing on the way out can heat a hub so wheel and make a tyre hot. Higher pressure and more circumference not less like with a puncture. It does happen sometimes.

Octavia iV (PHEV) disappointingly low range on electric???
@PoloGaz that will be your Official figure and not one published by Skoda CZ. But then Ambient temperature makes a difference.

EV real world range and cost to charge
- Weird humming and vibration
Welcome. Sorry not a clue but grown ups might be along. How many miles / km on the car. How much servicing have you done? Are there good spark plugs fitted, correct gap, and a nice clean fresh and dry air filter fitted,?- EV real world range and cost to charge
The Alloa Advertiser had an article on First Trials of new home charging. The channel cut into the pavement thing. Sorry can not link. Finished charging and time to go. Lets go my friends, as an EV evangelist says in his vids.- MkII Kodiaq Order Book Opens
Be sure to take a good long roadtest in a MINI Countryman. I had one out for 100 miles. Right hand drive. On my MINI electric I do not use the heads up display, I do not like and there is a display on front of me. The Countryman was no use to me with centre display / screen. I am right handed and the Touch screen on the Country man and controls are the reason I will not get the new MINI Cooper electric if by 2 years time they do not change how they are coming out at launch. The fabric dash is no use to me, in MINI or MINI Countryman, stour and splashes. The Countryman is a good size. PS. The ACEMAN will be a suitable size for me.- About to embark on Skoda ownership, Superb L&K Estate
Sorry looking on a phone and maybe missed stuff. So Haldex is at 3 years / 30,000 miles or sooner, and rear diff is often at 80,000/100,000 or so. Maybe at 8 years or more often never touched. Then a DQ250 DSG at 40,000 miles and a DQ381 80,000 miles or sooner. 4 year service intervals might suit you, but nothing is really by 4 years, more by how used.- Does L&K Show on V5?
If you get a picture of the sticker in the spare tyre well hopefully someone will help with the spec. Or the VIN will help.- Does L&K Show on V5?
Welcome. Errors can happen when the car is being first registered and the wrong info given. Spec. Clear this up incase you are messed about when insuring it if you buy it. I have had insurance quotes and bought insurance on models not showing the correct trim / name and then on renewal been questioned on wrong details.- Jemm
Welcome. Sorry to hear this. Sorry can not offer any advice. I will flag this for a mod to move to an appropriate section.- Octavia iV (PHEV) disappointingly low range on electric???
Great. So looks like only 11 kWh usable battery only. Or less. 4.4 miles x 11 kWh = 48.4 miles. 4.4 miles x 10 kWh = 44.0 miles Yes 40 miles + 5 % of 11 kWh, 0.55 kW 2 miles, 42 miles.- Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
Just get a nice Courtesy car. VW Group have the fleet. VW Group UK should not sell vehicles that their Dealerships approved by them can not maintain.- Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
@Robster59 Is it out of manufacturers warranty? Even if it is it is a Safety Matter, car off the road. Skoda / VW UK and an Authorised repairer is what is needed. It will still be a while. There are no techs available. 24th April sounds reasonable. But are they actually even starting to look then @ Ingrams Ayr? Quite possibly not. Parks Skoda Hamilton and Parks anyplace have the technology, just not the employees.- Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
It is a Plug in Hybrid / 1.4 TSI. Known issues, TPI covering them. Only the trained technicians can work on them. Make the electrified system safe. That is the issue, even if anything wrong is minor.- Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
There are 4 large Dealership groups in Scotland. Arnold Clark own the Colleges for training Technicians. https://gtg.co.uk/about Parks have multiple Brands of Dealerships, as do others. Not enough Technicians to Service & Maintain Electrified cars. Make them safe to work on. Yet they keep on supplying EV,s and PHEV,s, some with known issues. As to Parks & especially Parks Skoda in Hamilton. There used to be Gordon is a Moron prowling the showroom telling customers total b0llocks. eg 1 liter oil used in 600 miles being within the acceptable useage. Special Spark Plugs leave them 65,000 miles. Many a twincharger engine died.- 2011 fabia 1.2 battery drain
Sounds like you need an Automotive Electrician on the job then if you are not sourcing the fault.- Error: Cooling System. Workshop!
? What is Parks of Hamilton / Skoda's issue with fixing it. Lack of a time slot or trained / qualified techs? Best avoided anyway. Henrys Glasgow then. Have they got EV / PHEV techs available?- the truth about electric cars
Beside the M77 then A77 after leaving Glasgow. Kilmarnock Athletic Stadium hub off route for 1/2 a mile. Busiest or near busiest according to CPS. Not many chargers. At the end on M77 a BP Pulse at Prestwick junction. 1 at Turnberry junction. 1 at Dowhill Farm. 1 at Girvan and CPS call handler says they were unaware it of service. Well someone is not reading the reports sent in. 1 at Balantrae. Then after Cairnryan you have choices in Stranraer. There are several charging hubs around Kilmarnock as a lot of Council, NHS / Carers and other EV,s. Not that near the A77, and you might have to queue. Spacing is hopeless to get car in and doors open and get to chargers etc. cable to charge port, many Disabled / infirm are pretty well stuffed as able bodied often struggle. Now that there are tariffs maybe less will dump cars for hours there. That includes PHEV,s left filling bays.- Please help with inspection vs maintenance intervals
Change intervals for different parts as the car is used or not used. Use a good independent mechanic / garage that knows what Servicing a Maintenance is important. They might check your brake fluid for you. For the H2o content. The pollen filter can be checked, shaken / vacuumed if clean and dry enough. Same with the Air Filter maybe. You do not say what engine. TSI or TDI. Spark plugs so i take it a TSI (petrol) A TDI has long life oil anyway, a TSI might use the same or can use VW502 00, 5w 40 FS for fixed oil and filter services. Fixed regime. @ top. @ bottom the older usual Interim / minor and major servicing.- the truth about electric cars
The charger head removed and car could be driven. But the driver and keys have gone to the north of England. 2 break down and recovery companies had already attended and were unable to remove the car. EDIT. Still there Tuesday morning. Torrential rain.- the truth about electric cars
^^^ Indeed, Farmers, Grain Dryers etc. Then Military Vehicle Enthusiast running LPG. Filling up on farms because no markers in LPG, like running red diesel. Like 35 pence a liter from a friendly farmer, where ASDA was 50 pence a liter. With ASDA and a ASDA credit card you got 2 pence a liter off and since you might be buying twice as many liter of LPG compared to Petrol running a V8 that was good if you had one that run well on LPG. Then if it was your Tow Barge for Gain or Reward no need to have a Tachograph. You could not run other fuels, like starting on petrol though. V6 Pickup,s imported from NZ that ran on LPG were popular in Scotland. Dundee Council gave good grants to Taxi Drivers to have LPG conversions. Down south it was mostly Morrisons i bought LPG at. There were some places around the country worth calling into for Much Cheapness. A big station on the outskirts of Kilmarnock was very cheap for Scotland.- Servicing
Sorry i misread that. ta. There was no Recall though was there. If your car was not getting Main Dealer Servicing or they did not have you on the system there was no letters to the Registered keeper was there. Or was there letters?- Servicing
@ords Did your DQ200 not come up under the Service Campaign / Recall Action started in 2017 on some from 2013-2015 which was a Software Update. '34H5'? Or did it and you chose not to have it done?- the truth about electric cars
I know what his main videos are since i have watched them and know when he started the EV videos and when he got a EV. I was not late to the party and playing catch up. Actually i watched to see if i could learn anything, but i had already experienced EV charging and travelling so was aware of the guff and bluff. I drove LPG vehicles and had when in the South to be doing planning before travelling and be sure where i could fill up, or plan going off route to fill up. Then i got bigger tanks which you filled only to 80%. But then i could travel into England and back often without ever needing to fill up.- the truth about electric cars
Stick ANPR,s or Bar code readers at fuel stations and town boundries and geofence vehicles. Shut them down remotely. As the tech in cars will allow within a few short years. As it is just limit fuel to those driving illegal vehicles. Yes i know they can buy fuel in cans, or any old place, Fill up a vehicle and transfer. Like those not getting to open a boot or bonnet to put the fuel filler from the pump in. The Geoff Buy,s car issue. Re Expensive fuel. That has no affect on those with money that care not a jot. As with Minimum Pricing on Alcohol in Scotland. It has never stopped an alcoholic that wants to drink. It has stopped me buying alcohol. - Weird humming and vibration
