  1. 205/40 R 17. & the link i posted has the threads with the sizes and @Carlstonhas the scores on the doors required in that first linked thread and the others in it. Then there are the numerous similar threads in the mk2 Fabia section since 2010 when the Monte Carlos were launched. In parts of Europe & in other world regions including Australia they had 16" rims as standard.
  2. !5" is the size of the Spare for any Mk2 Fabia including any engined Monte Carlo or vRS, so the brake size is not an issue.
  3. Welcome to the forum. Yes you can. Just fit the correct size tyres. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/512880-new-old-wheels-for-fabia-width-and-offset-advice-please
  4. ? Has the issue with the leak from the seal or where ever been addressed yet, is it a seal? Is that getting done before any further changing of the oil, or at the time?
  5. @johnnycortinawelcome to the forum. ? Had that full service history included the DSG being serviced @ 64,373 km / 40,000 miles? Or is it a DQ381 rather than a DQ500 so a 80,000 mile schedule? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/459193-gearbox-my2019
  6. It is normal that they do not know or care or love / cherish the customers and their habits and use of the vehicles. So set your own tyre pressures because you know how you use your car, and reset the TPMS.
  7. http://nestrans.org.uk/biketrial http://lowemissionzones.scot/news/aberdeen-launches-e-cargo-bike-scheme-following-ptp-support Aberdeen & Dundee & even Edinburgh are pretty perfect for e-Cargo bikes (weather can be an issue) as the road networks are an issue and the LEZ,s are coming in. There are many in Glasgow that need to get them now since the LEZ came in yesterday and they are saying they can not do their deliveries or work. They should be at a Park & Ride location ready for trades people to park their van and get their toolkit and stuff transferred into and off into the city centre. For many it should be Bipper / Kangoo EV vans sitting in those Low Emission Hubs ready for hire by the hour or day etc. 'Arnold Clark' could have their EV vans or Estate cars available to hire. 'Simply clever'. Some are just not that savvy.
  8. All that many businesses or trades need in the way of an EV van for local deliveries or transport if not just using an estate car.
  9. It means Skoda had to have an EVOLUTION because VW's defeat devices and cheating on tests had to end and they have to get engines that could give the results required gor the WLTP & RDE2 and not just by using 0w 20 FS IV oil. If the actual emissions in the real world at colder ambient temperatures is the same as under the test regimes are genuine is another question.
  10. @Biggles33I was up to Ellon this morning. Electric Corsa with a full battery & showing 196 mile range. that is 45 kWh usable battery, so it was guessing at 4.35 miles to the kWh. (That was after a few hot days of local slow trips.) Colder than i expected this morning and at the speed allowed on the A90 and into Aberdeen and then onto Brewdog. I was getting 2.7 miles per kWh to the Brig 0 Dee, then out by Bridge of Don i did get 3.1 miles per kWh. 76 miles had used 60% of the battery. I charged rapid for 29 minutes at Tesco and then topped right up free at Brewdog. After lunch and it was warmed up with the sun out & i was getting around 4 miles a kWh but then i was tootering aboot. Next charge was to near full and i have been a bit spirited and got 2.5 miles to the kWh, and am sitting with it showing 19% & 24 mile range. Just away to start charging it. I was using up the last of my Credit on PodPoint because i am done with EV's and going to use my petrol or diesel cars as i have had the best of 'Cheap or Free charging. Aberdeenshire too expensive now at 47 pence a kWh on rapids & Angus went up today from 23 pence to 41 pence a kWh on any council chargers. Highland Council is just ridiculous now @70 pence a kWh on Rapids.
  11. Guest_ replied to simonb82's topic in Skoda Enyaq
Not according to the dealer though at motorway speeds in winter because that are saying about 190 miles from 77 kWh, so 2.5 miles per kWh, if it was 75 kWh then 2.53 miles per kWh. meaning 12 kWh x 2.5 is just an extra 30 miles. Which actually is fine as a top up. As it is the usable 77 kWh is not going to all get used as nobody is running the battery to flat. But then it really is about what motorway speeds are and is it really 70 mph or more like an average of 65 mpg, and how cold is your winter trip. As it is getting 20 mins on a 50 kWh or faster charger is often all that is needed and is not the greatest of hardships. Some just drop there speed by 5 mph and then that means no need to put a stop in to charge as that helps the range.
  12. The paint was as the sprayer left it 1 year ago and when you inspected it. Now it is what it is. A repainted panel with the masked edge peelling. That was a professional that painted it then, maybe just not the best, and you can be no more certain the professional that redoes it will not have it looking just the same another year further on. Give the person that sold you the car a chance to see what it looks like a year on because they know who does their painting. Maybe they give a toss and will deal with it or maybe they will care not a jot. I was a car painter.
  13. Having a warranty just means there are T&C's about having the car serviced to the guidelines, recommendations even schedule or specification if it says that and what parts / fluids should be used and keep the record. Paying £100 or more plus VAT an hour to have maintenance work done elsewhere like a bearing does not invalidate the warranty. If there is a possibility of it being the Engine, Gearbox, Haldex if the warranty covers them then it is well worth getting the car into the Main Dealers or Approved Repairers as the Warranty terms likely say.
  14. @Nick_H Is it a Skoda Warranty from it as an Approved used car? £135 plus the actual work if they are not knocking anything off if they are doing the bearing must be a lot more than an Independent will charge is it not? Has the car had the Haldex Serviced twice already or is that due doing?
  15. People should be aware that if they just need one or two of the Gigaro that singles sell well and for £100 plus as a Spare for carrying as a full size and they fit in a Fabia spare tyre well with a 205/45 R 17 tyre fitted. The paint up or powder coat well. 5x100 PCD so suitable for Fabia, Mk2, Mk3 or Mk4's, Polo, Ibiza etc. Good for fitting Winter / All seasons to.
  16. Internal temperature demand of 16*oC more than the ambient temp will inhibit the Stop / Start, or a high load demand. Lights, heated screen, heated mirrors, etc. The AC in inhibited @ 2*oC or below. AC on can turn the engine back on when Stop / Start has stopped the car.
  17. The car is going as good as it has ever done over the past 33 months. It looks like a bucket of sh!te and it will be interesting to find out what it achieves at BCA when Motability punt it. A 3rd set of discs are going to be needed fitting as an Italian tune up is not going to make them look acceptable. At least a caliper clean up and a blast of wheel silver needed. A set of pads and maybe even drop links again before it gets sold. Decided to take it on a last hoorah. So charging it at home to 100 % and heading off around the Cairngorm Snow roads North East 250 before doing some roads in the North Coast 500 area. I doubt the discs will be any shinier when i get back, there will just be more rust dust about. Doing it with the winter tyres fitted which are ready for the bin and when back the Michelin Primacy 4 can go back on. I might get more range with them on now but really they are terrible tyres for doing any spirited driving with. Taking the 3 pin charger and a push bike. Just incase the maga priced Rapids are playing up.
  18. @jemjemAfter wheel / tyres changes and tyre pressure changes are you resetting the TPMS each time?
  19. Inflate them to something just bellow the ECO pressures showing on the Fuel Filler flap & if that feels too crashy a ride drop them a few PSI. Do not inflate to anything like the Max pressure figure shown on the sidewall. None of it is rocket science. Sadly who you use to fit your tyres can not give you advice you can trust. Looks like you can not trust in the Dealership employees either. Find a good Tyre Fitting Centre, there must be one someplace near you.
  20. @jemjemyou have the tyres, do they have XL on the sidewall? No big deal if you have. I run them on my Corsa Electric which came on 205/45 R 17's. Just got a bulge on winter tyres i put on to replace the last winters i wrecked on potholes. (I will keep one incase needed as a spare in the future, otherwise they are scrap.) Too hot really for them just now so away to put on the crap Michelin Primacy 4 the car came with before it is handed back at 3 years old.
  21. How was the battery checked? Replacement is not cheap but the battery getting to end of life might just be the issue.
  22. Welcome. A diagnosis is required. You had best go to a local Automatic Gearbox Specialist with experience of DQ200 DSG's. But before that maybe say here which engine you have, how old the car is, and how long you have had it. Going to a Skoda Main Dealership might be a waste of money, but where did you buy the car and how long ago / miles ago? There is a service campaign on DQ200's 2013-2015. '34H5' that is a software update. That would be with some 1.4 TSI,s or 1.6 TDI's from those years. ...................................................................... Do you have a 1.5 TSI ACT with a DSG? This is why it is important. & why you might need only to deal with a Main Dealership. Repair might well be very very expensive. A correct Diagnosis is critical. Also keeping a record of communications and have it all in writing, and peoples names, job position etc. talk with Trained Technicians not trained or untrained receptionists or even Work Shop Managers. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/513192-dsg-repqir-costs-should-skoda-pay
  23. Those affected should be contacting the DVSA. VW Group / Skoda will just continue as they have unless people do something other than post on social media about it. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/513687-fuel-leak-sheared-bolt-on-injector-rail
  24. @CY67what fuel are you using now, and have the spark plugs been changed last year or this? Or the tyres?
