2.0tdi or 1.6tdi
They dropped them because as Euro 5's they cheated with defeat devices and the Euro 6 were not going to get the WLTP results required without a cheat so they had to make them 1.6 TDI SCR (Adblue). So 2.0 TDI with less power made sense. A 2.0 TDI 115 ps Golf 7 speed DSG i drove for a week was amazing for fuel consumption, but needed to be put in S at junctions as 1st to 2nd in D was dire. High 70,s MPG was easy and even into the 80,s MPG.

Fuel tank capacity?

Consider below 0*oC as a possible issue for really reducing range. Wrap up well.- Skoda fabia 1.2 tdi greenline 2011
Welcome. A mod can move it to the Fabia Mk2 section where you should get help so no need to re-post there.- Replacing Yeti
When they do a tall EV with the footprint of a Yeti that might well be a replacement not something bigger than a Kodiaq or Enyaq.- Conflicting opinions from Skoda dealerships about SmartLink . . .
@wakajawakaWelcome to the forum. Who you talk to at Dealerships is quite important, service desk staff, sales executives or even Dealer Principals might be best asking someone that knows like a Technician or even the cleaner or courtesy transport driver.- Are garages insured to drive taxis ?
Those in the North West of Scotland with Private Hire cars will not have a big choice of garages that can service cars but the mechanic or garage owner might well have a Private Hire or Taxi licence at the places there are.- Are garages insured to drive taxis ?
The North West of England is such a long way south of the North West of the UK, it does confuse some, like me, just like when people say North East- Enyaq 80 range
If the weather is not into the high 20's degree 3 there is something far wrong if you are getting 3.5 miles a kWh. Even up there if your average speed is around 60 mph that would be pathetic. Has climate change really had such an adverse affect on the South of the UK that there are going to be outdoor ice rinks and cross country ski centres?- Cold air intake
@Nomswas that a Golf TDI?- Water in boot
Rear tail light seal leaks do not get the carpet wet but gets water into spare tyre wells. As does the flaps behind or actually in front of the rear bumper if there are those on the Kamiq which I suspect there are.- Dealers exclusive invitation - anyone else?
If they have them coming into the country they want them sold and first registers and aiding the Fleet Average Emissions, and before any order books open on Facelift / MY 24 models. They need to try every sales tactics they can. Used prices still good and they need turn over. The handful of special people needs to be dozens of handfuls to get enough doing an order.- the truth about electric cars
@lol-lolexactly. No gas used just the daily standing charge and the electric standing charge and 4-5 units of electric. If 5 kWh then you get to £2.41 a day. Those in the south seem to be unaware that were there is lots of electricity generated have the highest tariffs. Even where the biggest pylons will be to transmit the electricity past their community to the south for it to be cheaper. http://thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/angus-mearns/4458535/ssen-miss-forfar-out-on-pylon-project-briefing The Forties Oil & Gas pipeline from the North Sea and from St Fergus to Grangemouth runs almost exactly in the same line as these pylons are going. I have no objection to pylons, wind turbines, solar farms or hydro schemes nearby, just that where their are surpluses those nearest pay the most.- Staggered tires Xtreme 19"
You set the TPMS to the pressure or actual circumference of the tyres. They do not have to be the same front and rear. You can fit the slightly mis sized spare and reset the TPMS and then not get a warning.- Dealers exclusive invitation - anyone else?
They really are cheeky little monkeys.- the truth about electric cars
@domhnallIt was a one off, the only other time it was plugged in was to clear ice. I have spent under £500 over 55,000 miles and maybe you could say how much you have paid for charging over that sort of mileage. If you were my neighbour i could maybe get charged at your house then. There is reason to be paying a standard tariff with no smart meter or charger. I was with Octopus, but still had no smart meter of charger, and am with Eon Next after them moving me from Eon and exactly the same no smart meter & no available EV / Off peak tariff. Charging near home was free until last November so i had no need to charge actually at home. But then on the bright side my Electric & Gas and standing charges cost me £2.41 a day presently.- Fuel tank capacity?
If there is not slide button just in the filler you will not be able to vent them. So that will save anyone doing it in error.- “Hiccup” starting from rest - 2015 1.2tsi engine.
Servicing and maintenance is pretty important. Sad that Skoda schedule shows the air filter at 6 years and many do not get checked at each service. Sad that air filter housing are not designed to be easily opened as they used to be. An inefficient engine is wasting money on fuel. The Long Life spark plugs can be good for 60,000 miles in some cars but really can not just be ignored that many miles in TSI's of any era or engine capacity.- Fuel tank capacity?
25 miles range does not always mean the same quantity / litres in the tank. It depends what Average MPG you were doing before getting down to that displayed. Be careful when brimming a tank (filling it right up the pipe) in warmer weather that you do not vent it then park up without using some of that fuel up. Actually in any weather. A fuel tanks official capacity does not include the maybe 7 litres up the pipe and brimming it.- ABS warning light.
ABS became compulsory in the UK in 2004.- SOLD: Octavia etc 16” steel winter wheels/ Michelin alpin 6 / skoda trims
Actually that will be the size recommended as in fitting without issues, not 'approved'- 1.5 petrol v 1.0 petrol
Some 2018 1.5 TSI ACT,s had issues and required a software update, there was a Safety Recall on lack of torque, so check that the service and warranty history on that and was this software update done. @ 5 years the Cam belt is due a replacement and quotes on that are between £750 which is actually low & as high as £1,100 plus, which has become common, so check that out. The 1.0TSI also requires a Cam Belt replacement @ 5 years according to Skoda / VW UK, and that is cheaper, but needs done by someone that knows their stuff, not as straightforward as the old days. (There are ones co-cked up already if you look in the Mk3 Fabia Section.) Both are at the mileage where at least one change of spark plugs was due, and actually a 2nd change is due. ? So what does the Full Service History show other than Oil & Inspection Services & Extended Scope in 2021 and then 2023, is it even that. ARE THEY SERVICED TO THE MANUFACTURERS GUIDELINES, RECOMMENDATIONS or SPECIFICATION / SCHEDULE? So that you could take out a Skoda Used Car Warranty if you wanted to? I think they will need the cambelt changed for that to be the case. Pollen filters twice changed? ? Brake Fluid ever changed? ? What are the tyres and brakes looking like? ? Are the windscreens OK, not too chipped? Drive them and you decide.- SOLD: Octavia etc 16” steel winter wheels/ Michelin alpin 6 / skoda trims
Briskoda bargain 'flash sale' / 'Much cheapness' considering the price on Michelin Alpin 6. At least we can trust they are the load and speed rating and size that can be fitted to Mk3 Octavia.- Slick 50 oil additive
@nta16 Well the North East coast of Scotland in the 1960,s 70,s was rather different then where young people might leave school at 15 to go on fishing boats and buy a car a new car at 16 for their friends to drive until they were 17 years old. Youngsters from farms had cars & weekends were where the cars were driven rather quickly from one town to the next to the various town hall dances. Many were 2 car families back then and the boats had a crew bus / minibus for taking them to the West Coast fishing. ? Did it have a different name before the 1970,s? Was it just a product as part of Pyramid Selling ?- Slick 50 oil additive
In the 1960,s in North East of Scotland @ Cordiners Garage Banff which sold Fords it was added to the oil at the first oil change at 1,000 miles or so. - Enyaq 80 range
