  1. It could be, or it could be the subframe was replaced because the last one was gubbed and lower. Maybe give some more info. Is this a used rear subframe or a new part / patern part. Anything else replaced at the time, springs / dampers, rubbers etc.
  2. Cheers, typo / brain drain putting 1.5 there. So something here going on as to what mode it is in if not benefiting from some electric assistance. Stuff pushing the accelerator with a vRS and not even getting some decent acceleration, go go. Just show and slow go.
  3. @ThomasvrsdsgtdiCould you be clear on what you have, is it a Mk4 vRS iV so a 1.5 TSI PHEV?
  4. These are a bit general and cover Fixed Service Interval Servicing. A bit of a guide though.
  5. Skoda Main Dealership staff or Skoda UK's Customer Services Contractor can or should be able to tell you what RECALL there was on your car. I suspect it was a Service Campaign or Recall Action, or a TPI covered something. Pretty sure your car was not part of the Defeat Device Voluntary Recall but there were some cars that then got some sort of Software / Engine Management Skoda Secret Service sort out an emissions issue, 'don't ask we do not know type thing'. Loose lips can kill, on a need to know & VW decide owners need not know! http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions
  6. Hopefully 9 1/2 years later the crunchy hand brake has gone, maybe even the car has.
  7. @BT_11vRSDid the salesperson send you a video of them going around the car, close up on the tyres / wheels etc? Matching pairs of tyres hopefully. Best keep them on their toes and working for their commission.
  8. I think it must be a 230 ps because for the VED it is 149 g/km. A 245 Estate is 144 g/km.
  9. I had found it.
  10. Which part of the country is the car at? They can e-mail you what they have on the cars records easily, not that they will want to. They might have more of a record than they are prepared to print out. Ask Skoda UK, a Skoda Dealership the Service History and any warranty work done etc that is on the system. I would not leave it to 80,000 miles, or not covered by a manufacturers warranty. Or a Skoda / VW Group warranty purchased. Arnold Clark without an E. Well maybe. Squint number plates though are common, and the Yellow Stickers.
  11. @BT_11vRS Where in the country is the car? The DSG Service of a DQ381 is not due @ 40,000 miles. The VAQ Service was @ 3 years / 30,000 miles. With Arnold Clark you have to be sure you get what you are paying for. So if they have the Service History have them send you it. They bought in the car knowing or not knowing the Service History and paid accordingly. They have ripped me off or tried to and i worked for them way back when Sir Arnold was alive. They have sold me a car and the 2nd key was not there and then neither was the salesperson any time i called. He got a surprise when i just turned up and sat down at his desk. They failed a car i bought at the first of 2 free mot's and services on things it failed at the MOT before i bought it. My Motability Corsa Electric has now been with them for a week. No call since they received it off a recovery truck last Friday. They ball-esed up several attempts at services and fitting drop links. They are not all hopeless, only the ones that seem to stay working for them, anyone with any ability moves to someplace where they give a damn.
  12. @lol-lolhave you seen about these? http://evfleetworld.co.uk/tesla-launches-model-3-long-range-rear-wheel-drive-aimed-at-fleets http://insideevs.com/news/662618/tesla-model3-lr-rwd-europe-fleets
  13. Enjoy it. Was / is there a record of the servicing done to the manufacturers recommendations or guidelines including the VAQ diff?
  14. Australia will be because of previous failings in their Recall's. New Zealand's recall in 2012 only involved a few hundred vehicles with DQ200's which is why they got new MCU's. Europe never got a recall as VW said not required then in 2014 they started a Service Campaign. Skoda Secret Service Campaigns because telling people costs money. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/473213-another-dsg-recall-today-sorry-if-already-posted
  15. @JamesGornell Is it a 7 speed DSG so a DQ200 on a 2014 car? It should need nothing done if it is one of these. The Recall was on 2009-2012 DQ200's to Replace the MCU in New Zealand, also use Mineral Oil instead of Synthetic. So not this recall on a 2014 car unless a new one started at some point. There was another Service Campaign started 2017 to do a Software Update on 2013-2015 cars. Maybe that was done. Then in Australia a Recall was started again in 2019 covering cars that were already part of the 2 Recalls already covering cars. You would need to ask Skoda / VW NZ or main dealers what might have been done on your car.
  16. Mk2 vRS Fabia that do not have optional Bluetooth still have the TPMS.
  17. There are various threads on Briskoda and some of them link to the very good Youtube videos of which there are many that show exactly how to do it with different DSG's including with a DQ250.
  18. I have heard nothing from Arnold Clark other than them getting the car dropped off with them a week ago. Maybe today i will get a call but i am not chasing them up as not missing the car as not going far anytime soon and really do not need it. Probably it has not even been looked at so any fault or repair might be simple enough, or it could need parts that will take time and need ordering. If that is the case i will happily just return the car, end the lease and get my £71 a week to spend on liquid fuel.
  19. Something that really pees me off is the Washing. It is fine that owners say 'Do not wash my car', As long as they hand in a clean car. The Wheels and car check is supposed to be done by the Service Staff as the car is handed in, to see no damage visible, wheels kerbed. That is before a muppet kerbs them driving around to the service bay or when on a road test. The Car Washed should not be before the car is handed back after the service. It is before the 'Trained Technician / Fitter' does the Body Condition / Corrosion / Pant Warranty Inspection. That Inspection that Skoda UK keeps saying there is no record of being done. It used to be a page after Each Service or Each MAJOR Service. then it was done and you had a Palm Device. You noted damage, or poor repairs or corrosion and the position. VW Group UK know these 'Inspections; are not getting done as part of Oil & Inspection Services and who and where there are not being done, they also know who does them properly, because their name is on the records, and someone signs off their work.
  20. Never rule out a fault with a tyres or even someone having put in tyre weld on gunk and it forming a ball of rubber that tumbles around in the tyre. I have a T-shirt for that one.
  21. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/482244-dq381-service-intervals http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/508475-gearbox-dq381-in-emergency-mode See 1st March Post by me. I would have the DQ381 service done at a main dealer and be sure you have an extended warranty that covers the DSG. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/508177-remap-chiptuning-available-for-20tsi-vrs/page/4 Failures might be few and far between, but only time will tell. @DashDriverWelcome. Has your VAQ Diff been serviced? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/509911-vrs-owners-cars-with-a-vaq-front-diff-a-question-on-the-servicing-and-what-you-have-been-told-at-skoda-main-dealerships
  22. Around now & from now on will be when there might be more on GPF issues, you can not know how things will be at 5 years and beyond until you get to 5 years and beyond. It would be interesting to know how much Main Dealers want for a replacement GPF if one is needed and fitted by them. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/508126-2019-mk3-high-idle-problem http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/479195-car-behaving-strangely
