  1. So some of these service recommendations, guidelines or schedules for service items have changed from Skoda with new models. Back to brake fluid first at 2 years for a change. Also from VAQ diffs and owners not being told a service is due at 3 years / 30,000 miles it then starts that some are contacted and told it is at 2 years. @SurreyJohn I bumped the thread in the MK3 Fabia section.
  2. Bump for @Gaz.
  3. It certainly will and still some will make a fortune out of others making huge losses in the business of finance, trading, speculation and money lending. That is how it goes with commerce. If all you want is to buy a car or lease one for transport then you just do the deal that suits you.
  4. NGK are good, they even make plugs that have VW/AUDI on them, Bosch are good, they get fitted to VW,s. Bosch even did the engine management for VW group and then VW were caught with defeat devices, DENSO are good. Just get the correct spec plugs for the engine.
  5. 170 ps from a 1.0l Ecoboost mild hybrid with a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox.
  6. @MrMan001 What VW Model from 2018 is your 1.4 TSI in & Is it just a TSI or a TSI ACT? Skoda never fitted them to mk3 Fabia's. (Other than the limited run of 1.4 TSI 125ps R5 Tributes.) Euro 6 1.4 TSI,s were in other Skoda Models as TSI's or TSI ACT's and are still used in the PHEV's. ? Have you checked with VW if there is a TPI on your vehicle or a DSVSA recall? You can report concerns to the DVSA.
  7. @BoxerBoyWho is 'our'? Keyless is not mandatory in the EU, Europe or the UK, where in the world is it mandatory?
  8. Yes indeed. & that is what many will actually fit. or DENSO or whatever.
  9. Maybe check here. http://opieoils.co.uk & as to ebay etc be aware of hooky spark plugs on sale so just buy from trusted traders. As to what Europarts show, well that needs treble dhecked.
  10. Anyone wanting main dealer servicing including the DSG in Inverness are going to be pleased if it is £500 or less. This might be the sort of prices more common around the UK as the year goes on.
  11. Yes quite possibly if you are towing max gross weight over high mountain passes in high Summer is. Others just fit the towbar / ball and have no factory prep and get on with it.
  12. Simples, do not have 'them' fit one. One can be fitted though.
  13. For overtaking something not at the 60 mph speed limit?
  14. VW UK have been using Fuchs as the supplier to TPS since 2017. So the Producer of Quantum. They does not have Fuchs being the Factory supplier of VW,s recommended oil. Not that Castrol was or is anything special. As to the oil specs for the DSG,s I know nothing. But with a DQ381 I would be using absolutely only the factory recommendations until VW get on an accept possible issues, and if they have oil service schedule at 80,000 miles and no filter change put 8 year 80,000 warranties on them.
  15. Bumping this so that it can be seen by anyone with a 1.2 TSI engines issue now. If you use a search engine you will see a few 2016 threads from others. There were issues but really over the past near 8 years or so not that many on here.
  16. I know. Thanks. I check Motability price list every quarter and my mate is a Motability Specialist salesperson with Skoda / Seat. I used to be an installer of adaptions, hand controls and pedals pre electronic adaptions. Edit. It would not be a black one as i void never again..
  17. I have one leg so never driven a manual since the 1970,s . Driven every version of auto, CVT, servo clutch box ever available in the UK though and am not having a 1.0 TSI DSG with any VW model even if just leased. I don't need nil advance payment just not anything stupid, and pay the extra for the heated. Stylee not important, wheels that all seasons are available for is important though.
  18. This is 'breaking news' regarding fundamental design, manufacturing or material faults. Is it not a case of an issue with 'cambelt replacement' being an issued. Ones having been done failing. There will be many more than the tale of 2 failures come up if it is a design fault. Hundreds of thousands of euro 6 1 2TSI,s out on the roads.
  19. I need to wait till the next quarter to see what is on offer with Motability and the Advance Payment on a Kamiq 1.5 TSI ACT. Important being also how much for the Winter pack as not doing without heated seat and steering wheel. I can not order until May though as 3 months before the Corsa Electric goes back. Likely the lease will be extended on that which is fine but really I will be OK not having an EV as charging at public chargers is too much of a PITA.
  20. Barstewards golfers without any thought for others plug into the single charger AC for 5 hours or more and leave the DC available. Someone let me on after they had 30 mins so I let someone on when they turned up as only fair. Now I am 6 miles further on sitting using a 7kW for an hour or so to have enough charge to get where I am going and back again. The golfing Tesla driver is fine, they have 60 kW of charge in for free.
  21. It is not only the V6 that needed a ramp that can lift the body off hence the bargain you could buy the ones that needed the expensive servicing.
  22. Charging for the 2nd time this morning. -2*oC start in Aberdeenshire at 99% and had only 110 range on snowy roads and charging in Dunblane for the 40 min max got me 33kw so needed to come to Stirling to complete to near full on a rapid for 30-40 mins. But temp up to 10 celcius so will get as better efficiency and can head south west and get free charging. The time limit frees up chargers but 40 mins is just not long enough if no return in 90. Mins. But then you just use different cards.
  23. That is from a Skoda app that someone posted on here. It is in Google images showing the full screen shot. I will link later.
  24. @CJJE Is that an Early RR Sport where the body need lifted off to change the belts?
  25. @mrvinyl do you have a car from Motability now and is this due to be handed back in May or june? There is the lowest 5,499 Advance Payment at on the Enyaq that comes into things compared to £2,995 with a Kodiaq. Motability extend your current lease, they do not chase anyone to hurry up a cars delivery. http://news.motability.co.uk/motoring/vehicle-supply-issues-and-delayed-orders-your-questions-answered
