High RPM on startup
No GPF on a 2013 1.4 TSI anyway so not related. As to the RPM. look closer, is it really as low as 600 rpm? Is it a DSG or Manual. In it in N at 600 rpm in Manual or even a DSG? If a DSG in P or N at 600 rpm, surely not in D with foot on brake pedal and certainly not in S. .......................... With 1.2 TSI's Skoda want employees to get customers to be persuaded that rough runners are 'they all do that's'. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/504258-a-tsb-from-skoda-on-cold-start-behaviour-with-12-tsis-something-that-dealership-employees-should-be-able-to-explain-to-customers

Fabia combi alloy wheel upgrade.
The biggest OE Alloys / Tyres fitted to Mk2 Fabia are on the vRS/ Monte Carlo and 205/40 R 17's. Gigaro / Trinity alloys. 215/40 R 17 or 205/45 R 17 is not a factory size but they fit on lower suspension than you have and do not rub. Maybe best avoid them. Go with 16" rims and what ever tyres @Carlston might tell you fit. http://willtheyfit.com Maybe a Wanted Ad in Briskoda if nothing is in the for sales. http://briskoda.net/forums/forum/333-wheels-tyres-for-sale http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/508107-16-steel-wheels-with-winter-tyres-for-mk3-fabia-possibly-others cheap steels for someone.

DSG modes and gears-kickdown etc. ?gaslighting
She used to be a cracker. (Kate Laws) Total memory clearance from one Customers issue til the next. Every problem being different even when identical. So I got slagged when posting her LinkedIn showing CV. Now there are new Executive Team members. I linked the latest cracker of hopelessness recently in another thread. I will link later. New CEO, new ex team Resolution Managers,. Same VW UK 3 monkeys. Ps. The Senior team member dealing with the Octavia mk4 software issues had a member believing their car was part of the trials to find a fix. As though VW group UK have not hundreds of cars registered to then that cars later sold as Ex Management. So Demonstrators, Media cars that they can experiment on them selves. If they ever drive the dodgy ones. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484705-kphmph/page/15 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484705/kphmph/page/14 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/501404-automatic-gearbox-issues http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/508567-suggestions-on-where-to-purchase-a-spare-car-key

Fuel filter intervals
Yes. Sorry I should have been clear, no service interval because the filter is in the tank unlike when it was external on the fuel line. Replacement is when they fail. Like they were doing and people had parts of the filters in the tank causing fueling issues as they disintegrated.

Fuel filter intervals
None. So dead simple. There used to be with TSI,s then that ended about 10 years ago. ................................ There used to be with TDI,s and pretty much that stopped as well. They were at the 3nd Major Service so @ 4 years / 40,000 miles. IN GREEN Charts. Minor / Interim & Major Servicing as was. They charged Fixed Prices like that up to 2019 and yet would not change stuff as the Tech /Fitter decided not to. Very odd, taking Labour and VAT to not fit parts so not pay the VAT to HMRC. Cheat the customer and tax payers really. In 2021 Skoda shows Diesel Fuel Filters @ 6 years / 60,000 miles.

Yes or No on engine flush?! 🤨

Just noticed rust 😞
They could of but never do and it is as they have been doing for decades. Your Paint Warranty is 3 years and the Body Warranty is for perforation from inside. ? Are you going to the Body Shop for an Inspection / Quote for them to repair and you pay or to start a Warranty Claim? So if you are looking at a Warranty Claim then that is supposed to be at An Approved Repairer / Dealership first, then from there the procedure starts. They would claim there was no record of a Body Inspection even though the car had been Dealership Serviced & the Body Inspection at Main Deal Services is often not done or recoded and not a T&C in the Warranty anyway. Manufacture delays
You can only know what they release to the media. Then they might manufacture cars for some countries while not for others. http://datafloq.com/news/vws-skoda-auto-cuts-production-due-to-chip-shortage-trade-unions http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/490411-delivery-times/page/184

Unexpected recall.
If they are Recall Actions, Service Campaigns, Workshop Actions then they should call them that, and know WTF to tell the Registered Keeper what needs doing. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions If a Recall and letters going to Registered Keepers even if they do not take vehicles to Main Dealers then that is what they are. Random phone calls are just that. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/485810-karoq-recall http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/486906-skoda-recall-info http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/491750-karoq-kodiaq-recall http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484058-kamiq-recall

Yea it’s another MPG post 🤨😉
The Air filter at 6 years is ridiculous, but that is a guideline. Checked at services is what they should be. Even given a shake, a vacuum or blow through. Someone in Germany has no idea where the cars are used. Even the 4 year spark plug change or at 40,000 miles is guidance. The 3 cylinder engine like yours might have a plug going already at 33,000 miles. Then there was a injector issue. Just sons cars, a TPI not a recall. Ps raise all you like with Service Staff. They are there full time and the same old same old goes on. The Air filters used to be at the 2nd Major Service which was 4 years / 40,000 miles and on the fixed price and the tech / filter might just decided not required and not even look.

High RPM on startup
What is normal is that it is 1,500 rpm because and it is 3 cylinder 1.0 TSI,s with a GPF. Other 4 cylinder TSI engines 1.2, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 2.0 with or without a GPF might go to 1,100 rpm for 40 seconds then drop to 850 or 800 rpm.

AWD Oil Change and maintaining warranty
Good. That was nice of them to do that. Good Dealerships there. If Skoda UK are still being as generous in 2023 because someone has a FMDSH but are out of warranty that is wonderful. Those Dealerships deserve a nice review in that section.

Buying a CTHE Fabia VRS
The Parts are cheaper now. But using cheap parts that were crap was a false economy. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/45247-fabia-vrs-mk2-waterpumpsupercharger-clutch-part-number http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/501646-fabia-mk2-magnetic-clutch

Buying a CTHE Fabia VRS
If it does not have an undertray that is because it is missing. The Waterpump is a common requirement to replace, and both belts. The Timing chain and tensioner is not with a CAVE. But has been an issue with some CTHE.

Current Monte Carlo lead time?
@IrksomeDread04Welcome. Is the car ordered from Hawco? Good luck on that time frame.

Buying a CTHE Fabia VRS
@Awesam Was that a 2011? No idea why it would not have had '34F7' done other than owners not wanting it done. You could find a CAVE with it's original engine maybe, but a replacement engine is not an issue if that has been recorded and is still OK. If you find a CAVE engine car it is over 10 years old now so all that matters is what can be proved as has been done before you get it. What will need done after is anyone's guess.

DSG modes and gears-kickdown etc. ?gaslighting
@Jono Who has Skoda Customer Services handed you over to to discuss the issue, some Technical Department, Engineer or the likes or a Customer Services Manager that might not even have a car or driving licence? Do they even know what your car actually is?

AWD Oil Change and maintaining warranty
@PetrolDaveThat is good to hear. What sort or work was done free gratis under 'Goodwill' on your Skoda's that the warranty was not covering or where there was no warranty ?

Buying a CTHE Fabia VRS
Maybe not the car i thought it was was first registered March 2013 not July. ? Has the seller had the car since 2018 and are they the name on the V5C ? It would be good if you had someone with you that knows Twinchargers or how the DSG should behave. That orange sticker on the engine, drivers side,. if you are at the car take a picture of it.

Buying a CTHE Fabia VRS
? Why has DF13 UCM had the Mileage at the last MOT June 2022 gone to 59,184 when in 2021 it was 84,118 ???? EDIT. I read your post on Km and miles. ? Was it June 2020 that it was in Km and not an extra 37,000 miles then. Is this what is sorted.? April 2019 39,925 miles June 2022 59,184 miles. 3 years 19,259. I suppose there was lockdown.

Buying a CTHE Fabia VRS
There is no Servicing of a DQ200 DSG required. There was 34H5 required on some because of failures, this was a preventative measure. But started after 3 years of unlucky owners with leaks / failures. No service of a DQ200 DSG but that does not mean that someone does not change the oil in them, or that they need replacement clutch packs or selector forks, a replacement MCU etc. Idiots at Dealerships told people they were due at 40,000 miles.

Buying a CTHE Fabia VRS
Lots on CAVE because that was the beginning. We pretty know from the SEAT Ibiza to the first Mk2 vRS's what is what. I had one of the first vRS registered an Ex Demonstrator and so did a few other members have the first 50 cars in the UK. Plenty still on the road, some with original engines. Some were ruined because sales people / media never checked the oil. But of the 1,800 CAVE in the UK about 25% have had new engines. So never just discount a CAVE engine car. But then it will be from 2010-late summer 2012. Tyres means nothing. They can be replaced in an hour anyplace. You want a well serviced car that runs well, good engine, DSG and brakes, suspension, steering etc. If you know the reg number then out it up so we can look at the MOT history. If there isan advert link it or say where advertised maybe.
