  1. @KarockThere is the common issue. We have no idea what tyres were on the discovery and if the settings were used correctly.
  2. Worth checking out any Karoq projects with bigger brakes. Scala. Silence came the reply for this members post. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/509148-big-brake-kit-on-skoda-scala
  3. @wobble52Are the 'Tiny' brake discs and pads and calipers lacking in braking performance on road, overheating or such? Or are you changing them for something better looking, or for track use. Pads, brake hoses and fluid changes could improve the braking if that is all that is required. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/488877-ceramic-brake-upgrade
  4. Automatic, semi automatics, automated manuals and CVTs are not a problem. Many for decades have had Winter / Snow settings. Many Offroaders and vehicles for travelling on Snow / Glaciers are automatic. These can be powerful engines. The difference is that the right tyres and the proper application of the accelerator pedal makes all the difference. DQ200's 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG's can work very well on snow and ice, or at junctions with the steering turned.
  5. @automassThat is not my list. Skoda publish that. A generalisation sort of coverall that causes more confusion than it needs to. Even people on a Main Dealer Service Desk are often clueless, as are their supervisors. That is the issue, getting the correct info from Skoda UK. Even dealership employees and contractors get it wrong because the published stuff can be guff. Obviously that 40,000 applies to the DSG it applies to which is not those at 80,000 or not requiring an oil change. & it is not @ 4 years. (There is a way of changing the oil. the way it was done when there was a World Wide Recall & a Service Campaign, 2012 & 2014 in Europe. & how some people do it. There are 2 oils, in the box and in the MCU. You do not need to do it though.) ...................................................................... THIS CHART BELOW IS FROM A 'TPS' WEBPAGE. SKODA / GROUP DO NOT MAKE IT EASY FOR OWNERS TO FIND THIS INFORMATION ON THE SERVICE SCHEDULES / REQUIRMENTS.
  6. @fluffy01016Is it from a Car Supermarket type place, and can they have the Service record onto the Skoda System so that if you want to buy an Extended Warranty from Skoda there is a record of the car serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Guidelines, Schedule or Spec. As it is if the Haldex was not done it has not been to what it says in the Extended Warranty T&C's.
  7. If it says Full Main Dealer Service History that means there can be a history of what was not done. Oil & inspection Service and Extended Scope at 3 years isnot inclusive of additional work. Like the brake fluid changed at 3 years, or maybe even tested @ 4. Maybe the pollen filter was done at 2 years but not now at 4 years. Ask them to have a 'Skoda Approved used car serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations, guidelines or even schedule. They are putting a warranty on it, you are paying a premium and do not want to pay next year to have stuff done that was overdue now.
  8. @automass Ideas are fine. They can only tell you what the script is they have to follow. In the UK that will be @ 5 years. It is not rocket science or even based on mechanical engineering. You decide about your vehicle. There is no warranty involved because even if you bought an extended one taxis are not covered. As to Customer Services, those call handlers have no more knowledge regarding the maintenance of a Skoda than you can find online.
  9. @Andy781 Have you taken pictures of the mileage showing before the speedo was removed and does that match with miles covered since the last MOT. Just to save you any issues.
  10. @fluffy01016 Others will be along that know. Is the service history showing the Haldex serviced last year or since?
  11. There are usually 2 options for options disappearing. Not available for a while or Skoda UK and configurator issues with Skoda UK. Those who's job is selling the cars or accepting orders or those involved with the importation or the Internet for Skoda UK are that ones that should know which it is.
  12. There is aprice in the options of the October 2022 brochure. Charging. Heat pump. SKODA_ENYAQ_Brochure_NOV22.pdf
  13. @AemsiiDid you look behind the black insulation in the engine compartment?
  14. As long as the functions do work then all is good. Skoda used to have ABS on some models and ESP was not standard & needed paid for as an option. That was just a decade back. Now people get cars and struggle to know what they have and what does what. No matter how Simply Clever it is, if the tyres are getting no grip with the surface there can be issues. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/490648-xds-or-edl-or-xdl-electronic-differential-lock-is-it-supplied-at-all-in-the-uk
  15. Welcome. Sorry no idea on that in the vid. One thing is, In the UK were that is the drivers side a noise that annoys can be dealt with by opening the bonnet and look at the firewall were the pipes rattle. Fasten / secure them, pad them a bit, or even spray some silicone spray at them. *Then there is the Cattle grid noise that some have, this is from the DSG, and there are plenty threads on that.*
  16. Doh, i really really never thought that the motor was in the rear. No idea why i never considered there was no propshaft.
  17. Were you asked if you wanted to pay to have the spark plugs changed? Was the brake fluid changed last year or tested, or this year? Was the pollen filter changed for the 2nd time? Were you offered a AC Service. Check the Air Filter condition. location location location, and do not leave too long between checking. These are the things that should be offered or done? If Full Main Dealer Servicing is being done to Manufacturers Recommendations, Guidelines or Schedules and if there is an extended warranty.

If the ECO tyres are designed, produced & fitted then they should not be wearing unevenly because the cars manufacturers set up the suspension wrongly. https://press.bridgestone-emia.com/bridgestone-develops-bespoke-turanza-eco-tyres-for--skoda-enyaq-iv-electric-suv
  19. The tank is sealed as in if the vehicle is upside down fuel will not be coming out. It is vented though and there is not a vacuum in there.
  20. No. Because it is a DQ200 DSG, 7 speed twin dry clutch. It has 2 oils, in the box and in the MCU and there is no Schedule, guidelines or recommendations for oil changes.
  21. The coil can fail prematurely when a spark plug is overheating. The diagnosis really required taking out the 3 spark plugs and inspecting them and seeing the supposedly overheated one. Really £165 is a p!ss take for 40 minutes labour, 3 plugs and VAT IMO. The Main Dealer Fixed Price is £60 for the First 30 minutes of a diagnosis and Spark Plugs £105. That is £105 if 3 or if 4. That is also a rip off. Last years Fixed Prices
  22. @bollardHow much were you for changing the spark plugs, and was there more servicing done? ? Did you get the spark plug that was expiring prematurely? With Twinchargers this is what happened to one spark plug in some engines at as soon as 20,000 miles. This was the reason as many as 20% of the engines 2009-2012 were replaced. Like for like and some of those failed.
  23. @bollard It will be interesting to know what the spark plugs that are being changed at 40,000 miles on cars that have done that look like. They should not be still the OE fitment at 50,000 miles. The 1.4 TSI / TFSI Twincharger issue right from 2009 was one spark plug getting fouled with oil, a carbon build up and the spark plug getting cooked. That is the inlet manifold design causing an issue, and engine management.
  24. Maybe @varooomcould have a look see if there is any TPI's regarding this. There are some VW Techs around on the forum that will know the jackanory on this. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/508507-car-accelerates-quickly-when-cold-and-has-a-high-idle-if-you-switch-off-when-cold-and-restart
  25. If this is common which it would have to be for them to have had in a number of them like yours, so from 2018 with a GPF, then you would expect a Skoda / VW / SEAT / Audi Main Dealerships to see many more. That means time for a TPI on them. Maybe advice on checking spark plugs sooner than they are showing on the Manufacturers Recommendations, Guidelines, or even schedule.
