Tyre Pressure Monitoring System Fault
You can fit different size tyres or have different pressures / circumference and set the TPMS and have that logged and get no warnings. As you might do when you fit a spare wheel and reset the TPMS until changed and reset.

1.2 tsi dsg doesn't like switching to 6'th and 7'th
@Athrx Welcome. Was the MCU replaced while the car was in the manufacturers warranty period? Do you have a record of who replaced the MCU & when & can you not speak with them? Or are they not in your area. Is the car a 2010-2012 that had Service Campaign 34F7 carried out which was the DSG oil changed from Synthetic to mineral & had a software update, or a 2013-2014 that maybe needed '34h5' done and if not needed a new MCU as there had been a leak? EDIT. I see the car is a 2013. So likely should have had '34H5' done which was a software update started in 2017. ? So when was the replacement Mechatronic Control Unit to the car?

Performance air filter
@Gleaden2006 Maybe you have a member from heres old car. Maybe give a reg number or partial number, and what colour it is. ? Or do you know about the remap on it etc? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/357839-fabia-vrs-estate-rolling-road-run A standard CTHE was / is putting out more ps/Nm than a CAVE, it is just that Skoda never showed that in the C02 g/km yet SEAT did in 2013 when the Ibiza Cupra got the new engine and Engine Management, it dropped a VED group to be the same as the Polo GTI had since 2010. The scores on the doors on PS /Nm was not changed with the Cupra but the car was quicker on the actual road and the Dyno results were better. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/seat/ibiza-cupra/first-drives/seat-ibiza-cupra-first-drive-review

looking to buy my 2nd fabia
1.2 TSI need checked on the chain tensioner and update pre 2012. Then there is a turbo shim update covered by a TPI as well. The turbo accutator might have ment a new turbo was fitter under warranty or out of warranty just an accutor fitted. Like with any models / engines is not all vehicles, but you want to check if all had been addressed or never was an issue. The MK2 Fabia section has 10 years worth of posts on the subject.

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
I have never used them so no idea. But the Multistorey car parks will be there for long time parking on fast chargers and they are in the centre of Dundee. There are chargers at the University, Colleges, Hospitals and elsewhere that are not Dundee Council ones. Plenty charging about it is just not free or even cheap as it was to encourage EV's in Dundee.

Seeing is believing...
& They go on cars costing more than £40,000.

My first service - what do I need?
Yet you can buy a Skoda Approved Used Car with a 2 year Skoda Warranty that they put on the car even if not Maintained to the Recommendations or Guidelines. Over 3 year old cars, even 5 year old cars with no record of brake fluid changes at 3 or 5 years. Skoda, VW, Audi & SEAT are rather poor at specifying what the Recommended Servicing & Maintenance is. They sell Service Plans that do not cover all items that are in their recommendations or guidelines and then their Main Dealerships fail to advise customers there are additional items needs serviced. They might well try to upsell the the Fuel Treatment but fail to say the Haldex, DSG or Brake Services are overdue.

Brake Discs
That is how many go and all is well if cleaned off without scoring the discs that some have which are just crap. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/477410-scored-rear-brake-discs http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/496364-rear-disc-thickness-on-a-le-15-aus-version My 15 month old Electric Corsa is driven every day but the brakes are never really used as the regen does the stopping and the e-Brake can not clean the rears as it brings the car to a dead stop if any attempt is made to pull it on. At any speed. PSA now Stellantis source rubbish components just as VW Group does. My Shogun does a few miles once or twice a week and has no rust on the discs as do any other cars i have other than VW Group ones. Only done 700 miles since cheap new discs were fitted 14 months ago and there is no rust on them.

Felicia fuel tank capacity and TC-6 measurements
With Mk2 Fabia vRS and the 45 litre tank some of us vented the tank regardless of advice from the manufacturers or anyone else. We might get 49 litres in from near empty to seeing the petrol in the pipe and then vent and get about 5 litres in. That was before driving enough to use up the extra fuel before parking up. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/447650-well-that-was-a-bit-odd-fuel-tank-capacity

Now, I'm not sure it's meant to do that...
@AnnoyingPentium. It works, but so does wiping the inside glass with washing up liquid in water and then buffing up when dry. PS. Shaving foam works as well. Wipe on wipe off!

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
Dundee Council is increasing the cost to charge on their chargers from 1st February 2022 & other changes in April. There will also be a £10 penalty for over stayers on chargers other than those in the Multi Story car parks. 70 mins allowed on rapid,s and 190 on fast chargers. Various sources of info other than in the Dundee Courier. I will link an article later. The Daily Record have an article that covers it well. It says Tayside but Tayside is much more than Dundee City and I have not yet seen that Angus Council are increasing the recently increased charges. Perthshire might be staring to charge to charge but I have not read that as happening yet. https://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/news/article?article_ref=4137 'Across Tayside.' from 1st April. No Dundee, and charging cost rises in February, that is the 'Next month', maybe Tayside if that is announced by other Councils Leaders. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/electric-vehicle-charging-rates-set-25881309

Now, I'm not sure it's meant to do that...
The Greenhouse heater is only good when parked and if you have an extension cable. Set at 2 Degrees C & with a little gap of the window is fine. Where the cable comes in will do. Best that you have wind deflectors fitted. The £1 Damp traps are fine to have in the boot and car and are a help.

Brake Discs
Not that it will make much difference to Arnold Clark's management until you do TrustPilot posts and we shame on here and elsewhere and then they get the idea. But, when was the MOT last done and what advisories and was the MOT done inhouse. They sold me a Suzuki with a new MOT, and 2 free services and 2 MOT's. The failed MOT pre me buying it was on Discs and a broken spring and those were done before the pass and i got the car. 12 months and 3,000 miles later it went for the Service & MOT and i was going back in 2 hours to collect the car. 30 minutes later i get phoned to say it failed on brakes / discs and a springs. I said i would be back in 20 minutes. By that time the brakes and springs were off and in the scrap bin & parts were on order from Suzuki @ Parks. Well they had the car 2 days and they got no money from me and i took nothing off Social Media that i had posted about the cheating barstewards. The calls from Management did get more frantic. Funnily not been invited in for this years Service & MOT. As to crap discs on Skoda's there are so many examples of those over the various forums / models on Briskoda. many examples of ones that were recently passed in front of a fitter or technician with very poor eye sight. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/463451-rusted-rear-discs Some are that busy making a vid to show the tyres and exhaust that they flash past the brakes or fail to look at the back of the discs. (Times money and customer and road users safety is not their concern.)

@Joss1733Sorry no idea but the Mk3 vRS TDI came with 18" wheels as i remember & what the Scout had means nothing. Someone will know hopefully what MY22 vRS TDI 4x4's in the UK will have fitted.

My first service - what do I need?
Today someone has posted that their brake fluid was tested. & that was the OP. There are technicians that do jobs correctly and that will test brake fluid, and remove wheels and do things. Victoria Garage, Maud being a Skoda Approved Repairer & being an example of a place to trust. The point of checking fluid is to see if it needs changing. If you are automatically just changing are you testing to see if it is needing flushed and changed.

My first service - what do I need?
The issue with FMDSH or Approved used cars with FMDSH is that the Full Main Dealer Service History is no guarantee that things were serviced to the Manufacturers Guidelines or Recommendations. Service Schedule is not a term used because Service Plans do not always include Service Items Serviced to the Manufacturers Guideline or Recommendations. Hence cars without AC services, Brake Fluid not changed, maybe the Haldex not serviced or the DSG, yet they get a Skoda Used Car Warranty & have FMDSH. The history of stuff not done at Main Dealer Services. SKODA_Warranty_Terms_November_2021.pdf 36172_SKODA_Approved_Used_Warranty_Dec20_SINGLES.pdf

http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/436155-2012-vrs-water-pump-leaking- New UK Kodiaq specs launched 5th January
EV's might well not be suitable for everyone or everywhere but when there are no close Rapid or Super Rapid chargers handy or even fast ones there are 3 pin plug chargers which are very handy for overnight charging at holiday homes or when visiting people. Super Rapid Charging is expensive if you have no special deal with different providers and can cost as much as buying liquid fuel for an efficient ICE vehicle.- Tyre wear.
Tyre fitters are full of theories and advice. Some of it is always going to be correct and some just utter nonsense. It is like any job or profession where you learn on the job and who it is that you work with. - Fabia VRS Engine knocking
